Chapter 4
VIVA LAS VEGAS
(Iris)
I watched as people volunteered to go to Pompeii when I heard a voice in my head.
"Iris come to my office." I heard it was Xavier. I went to his office and Logan was already in there.
"What's this about?" I asked.
"An old friend of mine is missing," Xavier said.
"Who?" I asked.
"Mystique."
"Wait, I thought she was with Magneto can't he help her?"
"He's busy fighting off the Endos."
"Where are we going?" Logan asked.
"Vegas she was last seen in this casino investigating a kidnapping of three other mutants."
"We'll head out now." I said. We walked out of the office and standing there was Vena.
"Las Vegas let me get my bags," Vena said
"How'd you know?" asked Logan. My sister picked up a small mouse.
"I made a deal." She said giving the mouse a piece of cheese.
"Vena I don't know about bringing you."
"Why not it'll be like old times besides I was always better at flirting." She said.
"If you can be back in ten minutes we'll take you." Logan said. Vena smiled and whistled before walking away.
"You have no idea what you just signed up for." I said.
"How bad can she be?" He asked.
"Let's just say, compared to her I'm Vienna," I said. Ten minutes later Vena came back riding a big bear. She had a suitcase in hand.
"How are we getting there?" Vena asked.
"Flying." On the plane ride there Vena changed she put on a black short dress with a sheer bodice and a feathered skirt. She had on black sheer tights underneath with black heels. Her hair was pulled to the side.
"Are you going to change?" She asked putting on her red lipstick.
"No, I'm staying in this." I said looking down at my blue jeans and white top.
"Good luck getting in then." She said. We landed and it was nighttime.
"Okay, you two aren't getting in looking like that. This is the Golden Flux we're trying to get into this is a high-end casino for drug bosses." My sister said opening her suitcase. She pulled out a gun.
"You brought your gun?" I asked.
"I always bring my gun do you want them to know mutants exists?" She asked.
"Alright, we'll get changed just put the gun away," I said.
"Ok." She complied. Logan and I went looking out for a clothing store.
"What exactly did you and your sister used to do?"
"It wasn't legal if that's what you're asking. We actually used to be a part of a gang in New York."
"Really?"
"Yeah." I left it at that not wanting to explain further. I got a red dress and Logan a tux.
"You look nice," I said.
"You do too." He said.
"Good you're back." My sister said. It was dark so we walked up to the casino. A bouncer was at the entrance but he let us in I was glad Vena made us dress up.
"I'll get the info you two act normal." She said walking to the bar.
(Vena)
I went to the bar and sat down and right away someone walked up to me. An older man with low-cut dark hair.
"I haven't seen you before." He said.
"It's only a treat when you're not used to it." I said smiling.
"What's your name?"
"Does it matter?" I asked.
"I guess not."
"What room is yours?" I asked.
"You're moving fast."
"I don't like to waste my time." He reached into his pocket and handed me his key card. I took it from him and got up.
"Don't keep me waiting," I said walking away. I walked upstairs found his room and looked around. It was pretty empty but I did find a briefcase the problem was it was locked.
I put it back and sat down on the bed. I looked at my phone.
Iris: Call if you need help.
Me: Please I could do this in my sleep.
The door opened and men with guns walked in followed by the guy I met at the bar.
"You almost had me fooled Viper but my friend Kristina knows you." He said gesturing to the redhead by his side.
"I see I'm at a loss," I said holding my hands up. Then Iris ran in and wrapped one guy in plants. I got up and took one guy down with a punch Logan helped as well until everyone was down.
"Under control hu," Logan said. I bent down and a black and copper snake slithered up my arm.
"Thanks, Honey," I said to the snake.
"You're lucky, I'm starting to understand your snakes," Iris said.
"Whatever she knows someone who knows what happened to Mystique," I said petting the snake. I led Logan and Iris down to a nearby alley. A black cat walked out and I picked her up.
"She'll lead the way." I said. The cat led us back inside the casino and to a door. We opened it and it led to stairs leading down. We walked down and there were weird cells that glowed with energy. We saw Mystique and five other mutants.
(Iris)
"What happened?" I asked.
"They block cells I can't use my powers in here." She said. Vena found a control panel I used my plants to rip it apart. The cells then opened. "Thanks." Mystique said.
"Before you leave you should know aliens are attacking Earth," Vena said.
"Of course they are." She said before leaving.
"Well, mission done let's head back." I said.
"Can we get shots first?" Vena asked.
"No," I said dragging her back out to the blackbird.
