This Chapter is setting up the whole story. Hope you enjoy it! This is going to be a Leo/OC fic. Enjoy!
Leo glanced around the clearing, his eyes scanning for his girlfriend. She was nowhere to be seen. His eyes narrowed, she'd said she would be training down here. "Where are you?" He murmered, scratching his head in confusion. He looked around the clearing and his heart sank. Calypso was running into the arena frantically.
"Oh!" She exclaimed, "Leo! You're here!"
"Yeah," Leo felt his irritation turn to suspicion but he forced it down, "where were you? You said you'd be down here."
"I..." She paused, "I had to go to the bathroo-"
"Hey Calypso," a voice yelled, "you forgot your.." the voice trailed off.
Leo glared at the new addition to the group. It was Raylen Vazquez, son of Hecate. He was a boy in camp who had been there a couple summers now. Cheating with other guy's girls was his MO. An icy hand gripped Leo's heart, There was no way this was happening again. This had happened too often to him.
"Vazquez," Leo's voice was dangerously low, "what did she forget?"
"Her..." He paused then took a deep breath, knowing it was a bad idea to anger the fire-user, "she forgot her..."
"Don't you dare lie to me," Leo warned, his voice seething and his eyes angry.
"Her tank-top," he whispered, head angled down.
"And why, Calypso," Leo practically spat her name, "was your tank-top, which was under your shirt, with Raylen?"
His voice was angry and challenging, his eyes mirroring it. Calypso felt a fleeting moment of terror before she steeled herself for breaking his heart, "Because I was with him," she stated, keeping her face passive.
Tears flooded Leo's eyes but he held them back, "and what were you-" he cut himself and held up a hand, "you know what. Don't answer that. I know what your were doing and I don't need you to tell me. Don't ever talk to me again."
He turned and ran, unable to control his emotions any longer but refusing to cry in front of them. She had done it. She'd cheated on him. Leo fled to the forest, towards Bunker 9. Wiping his eyes, he ignored the worried shouts from people he passed. He knew his friends would try to find him but he wouldn't tell them. He would let her tell them. He would stay silent. His heart felt shattered in a million pieces. This had happened before, but not like this. He'd had his heart broken by family, foster homes, but never by someone he loved like that. He had cheated death for her. Done the impossible for her. Left his friends to help her. He shoved through the door of Bunker 9 and collapsed in a sobbing heap. Allowing himself to be weak now that he was alone. He would never let this happen again. He would never ever let someone get that close... That was stupid. He was already close with Jason and Piper and Percy. Less so with the others but still close. He took a shuddering breath and laid there, sobbing.
It was moments like this when he wished so desperately for his mama. She had always known what to say. Always known how to help him, no matter what the situation. He looked up slightly, tears streaming down his face.
"Mama," he whispered, brokenly, "why does it always happen to me?" he sobbed, "does it get better? Or can it kill you?"

"Jason!"
The Roman looked down from the tree he was perched in to see Connor Stoll running down the hill towards him.
"What's up Connor?" He asked, dropping to the ground and dusting himself off.
"I think something's... I know something is wrong with Leo," Connor paused halfway and amended his statement.
"What do you mean?" Jason's blue eyes pierced Conner's light brown ones.
Connor hesitated, "well... It's just... A few of the campers saw him running towards Bunker 9. It looked like he was crying and..." He trailed off.
"And what?" Jason demanded.
"I saw Calypso walking out of the arena with Raylen, the Hecate guy," Connor admitted, immediately wanting to flee.
Jason's eyes sparkled with anger, "you saw what?"
Connor stayed silent, "Leo ran into the woods. Nyssa checked Bunker 9 but she couldn't find him."
Jason turned and shot towards the woods, Connor at his heels. He caught the wind and flew to Bunker 9. He shoved the door open and ran to the back, ignoring Nyssa who was pacing the length of the floor. When Connor entered the Bunker, Jason was talking to himself and tapping the bricks.
"Jason...? What're you doing? That's a- oh!"Jason tapped out a sequence on the wall and a door appeared in the corner. Jason thrust it open and ducked inside.
Leo was slumped against the wall, sobbing. Jason hurried to his side and wrapped his arms around the younger boy.
"Hey Leo," he murmured gently into the Latino's curly hair, "I heard what happened. Shh buddy it's okay."
A few seconds later, Percy and Piper ran inside and quickly joined them. Connor had spoken to Percy before finding Jason. The son of Poseidon had then run to find
Piper. They had gotten to the Bunker as fast as they possibly could. Percy and Jason exchanges worried glances when Leo didn't respond to their words. He instead wrapped his arms around Jason's neck and sobbed into his shoulder. Piper's multi-colored, tearfilled eyes sparkled with anger. She hated seeing anyone upset, but she hated it even more when it was someone she cared about.
"She's so dead," she muttered, watching Leo cry was the worst thing imaginable.
He was still scrawny and so each heart-wrenching sob shook his entire body, his usually dark skin was unnaturally pale and his knuckles were white where they were clinging to Jason's shirt. Percy rubbed his back soothingly and spoke quietly. Piper ran her hand through his curly brown hair. Nyssa and Connor stood at the doorway, staring in horror at the sobbing boy.
After a few minutes, Jason gently pulled Leo's head back and caught his eyes, "you gotta tell me what happened buddy."
Haltingly, through sobs, Leo recounted the story. Leaving nothing out.
"She cheated on me, Jase," Leo cried, releasing his friend and curling in on himself, "she used me to get off her stupid island and then she cheated with the first pair of legs that passed her."
Percy's hand never left his back, he murmured soothingly, "I'm so sorry! She had no right to do that to you."
Jason glanced up and over to Nyssa and Connor. Their eyes were dark with anger and Nyssa's fists were white. He knew he didn't have to worry about anyone handling Calypso. He nodded to them and they nodded back, ducking out of the room. Jason smiled grimly, it slightly resembled a hungry crocodile, they would handle the jerk who did this. Calypso just made enemies of nearly everyone in at least 6 different cabins, probably seven, and the entire Roman Cohort. Oh yes, she would be handled. He turned his attention back to his friend. He sat down against the wall next to him and Leo leaned over against him. He was now silent, having no more tears left. Percy and Piper sat on either side of them. They sat in silence, knowing Leo would talk when he was ready. Jason thought back over the times he'd seen Calypso around and tried to remember something that would have clued him in that she was cheating. He vaguely became aware that Leo's breathing had become deep and even. He glanced down and smiled softly. Leo had fallen asleep. Jason knew that Leo never got much sleep and adding this exhausting ordeal was too much for him. His arm rested on Leo's shoulder and he laid his head on top of Leo's. Percy sighed and ran hand through his own frazzled hair.
"I really wish Annabeth hadn't chosen this weekend to go up to Camp Jupiter," he grumbled quietly, "she needs to be here."
Piper nodded, "we could really use her, that's for sure."
Jason closed his eyes for a brief second before sitting up, gently shifting Leo up against Percy.
"I'll be back," he said shortly, moving towards the door.
Piper grabbed his arm and shook her head, "not while you're angry, Jason. All you'll do is get someone hurt. Stay with Leo. He needs us now."

Riley Levee shuddered as the door in front of her slammed shut. She rubbed the new bruise on her arm. He had really been angry this time and it had left it's mark. Badly. She had a bruise that bloomed up her side, and her wrist was twisted. She stood slowly and crossed over to her closet. She rifled through her clothes and pulled out a thin, frumpy hoodie. She pulled it over her shirt and slid out her window. She crawled down the trellis and quickly left the yard. She pulled the hood up over her face and dodged in and out of traffic. She made her way quickly to the riding school. She ducked under a fence and walked up to a large bay stallion.
"Hey Kicker," she rubbed the horse's muzzle, "sorry it's been a little while."
"It's okay boss," Kicker rubbed his head against her shoulder, "I know you've been hurt again. Why don't you say something?"
"You know I can't," Riley smiled sadly, "I'd go into the system and become a statistic. I won't do that."
"But boss," Kicker snorted in protest, "if he keeps hurting you like that, then you have to say something. One day he might go too far."
"You don't think I know that," Riley sighed, "but I can't go into the system. He went in and I haven't seen him since."
"They don't all become a statistic," Kicker argued, gently nuzzling her neck, "I don't like seeing you hurt."
"Relax, worrywart," Riley rubbed Kicker's mane affectionately, "I'm okay this time, so we can be happy about that. Now, you have a stall that needs to be cleaned."
Kicker snorted and flicked her with his tail as she passed him, "I'm keeping my eye on you, boss."
"Talking to the horses again, Riley?" a smooth, disgusting voice spoke up, "you know, if I didn't know you so well, I'd say you were crazy."
Riley turned around quickly, her guard flying up, "what do you want, Colton?"
The tall, farm hand grinned seductively and raised his eyebrow suggestively, "I think you know. You ran out of the apartment before I could talk to you."
Kicker grunted angrily, "Just tell me when, Boss. I'll kick him into next Tuesday."
Riley laid a hand on Kicker's flank, trying to calm him down, "Colton, you know that Mr. Grieves said to leave me alone. You're still serving on probation for your last brush with the law, you don't want another restraining order on your record."
"Aw, your daddy won't let you do that to me," Colton took another step forward, reaching out and rubbing his hands up and down her arms, "he likes me too much, besides, you're still my girl."
Riley shoved his hands off her arms, " I don't like you, and I'm not your girl anymore," she snapped, gently patting Kicker on the flank.
Kicker snorted and reared as Colton made another move towards Riley. The farm hand stumbled back and gripped his shoulder tightly where Kicker had landed a good strike. He growled unintelligibly and stalked out of the stall.
Kicker whinnied loudly, "yeah! Leave her alone!" he snorted, disgruntled, "creep!"
"Easy boy," Riley soothed the angry horse, "it's okay. He's gone. I'm fine," she rubbed his flank calmingly, "calm down Kicker."
"He's an *** and you know it," Kicker snorted angrily, shaking his head in frustration, "I don't want you anywhere near him."
"I don't want to be anywhere near him," Riley rolled her eyes, "unfortunately, my lovely father thinks he hung the moon. So, he lives with us and I can't get away."
Kicker raised his eyebrow, "yes you can," he nickered gently, "there's always a way out. You know that."
"Where would I go?" Riley challenged, "I'm not exactly excited about the prospect of sleeping on the streets," she sighed, "I've done that before and I don't exactly want to make a habit of it."
"You may not have a choice," Kicker huffed, "I could always take you to the camp. I told you I have somewhere I could take you."
Riley shook her head, "the cops would find me in a second," she raised her eyebrow, "and where exactly would I hide a giant horse on the streets of New York?"
Kicker snorted in irritation, "you should trust me sometimes," he huffed, "I can get you out."
Riley shook her head, "I've got nowhere to go," she sighed and rested her head against her horses firm side, "I'm trapped."
