"So, um, where's Krystal?" Sirius inquired. He was trying to play this cool.

"If you wanted to ask her, you shouldn't have waited," Avery moaned, automatically knowing that was why he was asking. "You're too late."

"What?!" Sirius yelped. "She worships me."

Avery punched him. "YOU STUPID GIT!" she practically howled. No one looked at them. They were used to it.

"What?" Sirius repeated, more of a moan this time.

Avery sighed. "Remus asked her out this morning," she slowly informed." And she'll never break a date with him. She would feel too bad. Ah! None of this is working out! First, Jamie tells me he can't go with me because he's performing, Catherine deftly avoids my every attempt to set her up with someone, and now this. How am I supposed to play match maker if people keep making it difficult?!Oh, well. Moony and Stripes would be cute together, if Stripes can realize that Moony likes her…"Avery shook her head. "Here's to hoping."

Sirius shrugged. This was working perfectly for him. "Hey, Avery?"

"What?"

"You could go with me."

Avery froze. "Are you seriously asking me?"

"First of all, my middle name isn't 'Lee'. I think I've said that like a million times. Second of all, you're kind of the only girl left." Avery punched him again. "Is that a no?"

"No."

"What, 'no' as in 'no, I regretfully can't go with you', or 'no' as in 'no, of course I'll go with you, my darling, handsome-'"

"Shut up right now, or I'll change my mind and not go with you," Avery snapped.

"Okay."

This is meant to be a funny play on that scene between Ron and Hermione from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Although if you knew my opinion on Ron/ Hermione back when I wrote this, then you would probably know that it's foreshadowing that these two do not work out well as a couple.
