Summary: Where Misaki tries to put her father at ease by erasing herself out of his life, he decides that the correct antidote to it was assigning a bodyguard.

But will she be able to endure his presence long enough to like it?

I Hate My Bodyguard

It was a peaceful day, the birds chirping cheerfully in the trees, the maids giggling about a new gossip, and the mansion looking brighter than ever.

Until...a young lady ran away.

It happened like this:

The Ayuzawa mansion was one of the most beautiful mansions in Japan, and Misaki was not proud of the fact that she was filthy rich. In fact, she wished she was born in a normal family that didn't have so many complications.

The complications in question? Obviously, dad's enemies trying to pull a string or two to get the old man sweating. But up till now, no one could do it.

Buuuuut there was a very big problem, despite them being safe. Everyone knew that Misaki was the apple of her father's eye. And Minako―her mother, didn't let her other two children feel neglected.

All in all, a happy family.

But Misaki wasn't happy, and so wasn't her father. Why was she not happy? She had a bodyguard following her every where. And why was her father no happy? Because Misaki kept getting rid of bodyguards every month.

Until then, everything was going the way it was supposed to, Misaki would go to the university with her sister and brother while she analyzed the new bodyguard from head to toe and then used his weakness to get him fired.

And the big problem I mentioned above? It was Misaki. She got fed up of being watched 24/7 so she decided to stealthily leave the house and find someplace she could breath more freely for maybe a few weeks until her parents realized she was capable enough to handle herself.

While she escaped the house, she heard her mother call her, and just for a moment, she considered going back, realizing that she may not be able to survive. But no, if she wanted them to understand her, she needed to do this.

Goodbye, she thought.

Until I'm strong enough, she promised.

And then she left, never looking back.

Misaki made to a few kilometers in her cycle before she dropped down. As she gazed at the board, she tried not to feel disheartened looking at the three digit distance from the main city.

She wiped the sweat off her brow, for the first time sweating so much with no assurance of a bath. She was glad she was athletic so she didn't tire easily. But she couldn't go on with taking rest. And it wasn't like she was taking an easy road either, she just had to take the highway, where all the cars drove at high speed.

As she watched the cars drive by, she remembered watching them through her father's car as they would go to Hokkaido. The nearest town was Hakone, which was, like, 80 km.

"Misaki, don't give up, let's do this," she whispered to herself as she jumped on her feet and gripped the handles.

Suddenly, a car kicked her cycle, causing her to fall. Misaki felt her heart lurch forward as she flew to the footpath. She almost panicked, but she managed to scowl.

She jerked her head back, as a bald guy stepped out of the car. He was wearing sunglasses, looking like some evil villain.

Or maybe he was.

"Miss Ayuzawa, how wonderful to find you here on the...highway. Would you like a lift? I apologize for suddenly hitting your cycle. I wasn't very coordinated."

She just knew she was in trouble, from the way he was smiling at her with his hand outstretched.

"And why should I trust you?"

He raised an eyebrow, smirking.

"No, you shouldn't."

Just when he was about to grab her arm, an uchiwa came out of nowhere, knocking on his wrist.

Before Misaki could even blink, she was blocked behind a tall man, with a black hat.

"Glad you were honest with the lady. Now if you'll excuse me, we both have business to attend to," he bowed elegantly and grabbed her hand.

"Come on," he said, his deep velvetty voice losing it's cheerful tone. He was serious and Misaki didn't complain as they ran to a sedan white car.

"Stop them!" The bald guy screamed from behind as more men came out of the car behind them and started firing guns.

"Duck!"

She ducked as they crouched to the car. The door was thankfully open as she jumped in, the guy threw his hat like a Frisbee, which cut through the bald guy's shoulder and another guy's neck killing him instantly. His blonde hair glistened in the sun, as he turned and jumped into the driver's seat. He turned the ignition and drove them past the speed limit, making Misaki hold on tight to her armrest.

"We are just 60 km to Hakone, and I'm sure they would follow us there. We should keep driving until the next petrol-bunk, and then we will take another car. Don't separate from me unless you want to die."

He looked into her amber eyes, and she realized that he had emerald green eyes, "I will protect you with my life, Misaki."

Her heart skipped a beat, leaving her breathless.

If this was her new bodyguard, she wouldn't mind having him accompany her around.

Don't tell me you've never actually imagined Usui being Misaki's bodyguard. XD.

Drop in a comment, I'd really love to hear from you guys after a long time of getting absorbed in life. :-)
