1999- MLB draft

Today is a huge day. Monica, Chandler, Joey, Pheobe, Ross, and Rachel kept their eyes on TV.

"Are you ready for today's MLB draft? Oh man!" Joey said with anticipation.

"Uh, Yeah!" Said Chandler. "Who do you think the Yankeez will draft?". He asked.

"I dont know. But hey, isnt your cousin in this year's Major League Baseball draft?" Joey asked Ross.

"Yeah. All the scouts have said he has all the tools to be great. Baseball scouts have even compared him to Alfonso Soriano". Said Ross.

"Is it starting?". Pheobe asked.

"Soon". Said Joey.

Monica took the pizza out of the Oven and Rachel poured soda for everyone. "Pizza is done!". Said Monica.

"Thanks honey". Said Chandler.

"Thank you Monica". Said everyone else.

"Okay, okay here we go". Said Rachel. "What pick do the Yankees have?". She asked.

"The first pick". Said Joey and Chandler.

"And with the first pick in the 1999 MLB draft. The New York Yankees select...Alexis-Jasper Geller from NYU".

"Yeeaah!". Everyone yelled happily.

"Wow! Wow!". Said said an MLB analyst. "This young man has all the tools to be special. He can play the outfield, second base, short stop, third base. He can even pitch too. He can be the closer even a setup man during the 8th inning. If he can work on his patience at the plate and his command on his slider, he's gonna be an amazing baseball player".

Alexis put on the Yankees hat and his Yankees jersey and smiled as tears were going down his face.

Ross' mom and dad were screaming with joy. "Woooo!". Tbey both shouted. They adopted Alexis after his mom passed away and his dad left him.

"How does it feel to be a Yankee?". The journalist of the New York times asked.

"Its an amazing feeling!". Said Alexis. "My dream has come true. I cant wait to see my teammates and to be on the field".

After Alexis was drafted everyone texted him.

From Ross: Congratulations man!

From Joey, Chandler, Pheobe" Monica, and Rachel (group text): Congratulations! Wooohooo!

From Ross' dad: Congratulations! I know you're gonna do amazing and im so proud of you!

He smiled as tears of joy went down his face.
