Spyro's eyes slowly opens. At first all he could see was a thick blur. However, his mind and his body slowly started to wake up. He noticed, those familiar, bright purple eyes. He felt himself lying by Cynder, on a soft, silk bed.*

Cynder: ... Your awake... *She whispers.*

*Spyro didn't reply to her. His mind began to race, once he realized he was still alive, and he wasn't alone, his eyes widened.*

Spyro: C-Cynder... Where are w- *Spyro winches as his body strikes him with a jolt of pain. He felt his cuts open a bit.* Errr...

*Cynder was quick to be worried. She slowly stroked Spyro's chest. She strikes his chest gently, for his body was covered in bandages. His chest, arms, legs and his tail was bandaged where Malefor and Gaul had delt their damage to him.*

Spyro: ... *Spyro stares down at her paw, finally figuring out that his encounter Malefor and Gaul was not just a mere dream.*

Cynder: Spyro...? What happened to you?

Spyro: *Spyro slowly hugged her hip.* I... I had... I had to face... *Spyro eyebrows twitched, unsure.* ... Well, I.. fought your Dad... And Gaul ... At the same time...

*Cynder's eyes opened wide.*

Cynder: ... M-... My Dad?

Spyro: ... *Spyro nods before looking upwards, peering at what seemed to be cave walls.* ... Where are we...

Cynder: *Cynder slowly placed her warm paw across Spyro's face.* ... We're... In the Chronicler's Den...

*Spyro's eyes widen, before she turned to Cynder.*

Spyro: ... You mean... You mean... We made it...?

?: Yes... *A stirn, but soothing voice answers. Spyro and Cynder shift, so they can sit straighter. Spyro turned and saw an adult, white and silver dragon. He stood at a curtain, which was the entrance to this small room.*

Spyro: Your- *Spyro moved too fast and flinched in major pain.* Gaaaaah...

Cynder: *Cynder's body hugged Spyro protectively.* P-Please... Don't push your body any further...

Spyro: ...

Chronicler: I see you went through a lot recently... And you have sought me out, and faced your very own nightmares just to see me...

Spyro: ... So your him... *Spyro laid straighter, as he tried to move slower. He shallows his own pain.* ... Your the Chronicler...

Chronicler: I am I...

Spyro: *Spyro sat up, ignoring his own pain.* P-Please! Help us! Our children, their sick! ... And we're not sure what to do, and-

*The Chronicler's paw went up.*

Chronicler: There is no need to explain your story... *The Chronicler walked up to the bed.* ... I have been studying your recent events... *The Chronicler started to go through medical jars, as if he was looking for something specific.* ... And your friend, Hunter, ... Had Provided me with details I wouldn't have gathered otherwise...

Spyro: Ah, so Hunter's here... *Spyro's eyes widened, once again. He turned to Cynder, worried.* ... W-Where's Eon and Iggy!?

*Cynder nuzzled his face once.*

Cynder: Their right outside this room... Don't worry dear...

Chronicler: ...

*Spyro and Cynder both slowly turn to the Chronicler.*

Spyro: ... So can you help us?

Chronicler: *The Chronicler moved another bottle.* ... I... Can...

Spyro: You... Can? So, you will help us?

*The Chronicler turned more towards Spyro.*

Chronicler: ... I'll be sure your Children will no longer suffer... From the darkness...

*Spyro and Cynder exchange, almost relieved smiles.*

Chronicler: However... *Spyro and Cynder both turn back to the silver dragon.* ... I do have some concerns regarding, their condition.

Spyro: *Spyro's head slowly tilts.* ... L-Like what?

Chronicler: ... Well... It invol-

Frost: Father... *Frost, the young white dragon, Spyro had met before the night at realm, enters the room slowly.*

Chronicler: Frost? What is it...? My boy?

Frost: ... *Frost was silent. He stared at Spyro for a moment, unaware that he had woken, so he hesitated. He looks back at his father.* ... Eon and Iggy are... Hungry... Shall I gather some food.

Chronicler: *The chronicler nods slowly.* ... Yes... It would help everyone gather their strengths... *He fully turns to Frost.* Before that... Wake Lily from her nap...

Frost: But sir... She's been eager to-

Chronicler: Just do it...

*Frost fell silent. He took a deep breath, stared at Spyro again, then he turns back to his father.*

Frost: Yes sir...

*Frost slowly leaves the room.*

Chronicler: *The Chronicler didn't turn from the door.* ... When you are able... You may go see your children... They have been asking for you...

*Spyro sluggishly lifted his body.*

Spyro: ... H-Hunter... He there too? *The Chronicler stopped, before slowly turning his head towards the purple dragon.*

*The Chronicler slowly leaves them. Spyro was quick to already get off the bed. Cynder clutched his chest with her claws.*

Cynder: ... S-Spyro... You just woke up!

Spyro: I- I don't care!

*Spyro leans forward and let's his body slip off the bed. Cynder then slides alongside him.*

Spyro: ... Ah! *His body falls limp to pain all at once. Cynder was by his side, so she easily hugged his body and helped him slowly regain balance.*

*They walked together slowly. Cynder slightly giggles.*

Cynder: ... Your must be pretty strong, to defeat my father... and Gaul... And still walk...

*Cynder frowns. Her eyes started to reveal slight fear and sadness. She had to turn to Spyro for comfort. Spyro saw her pleading eyes as she whispers.*

Cynder: ... My father... Was he...

Spyro: Sane? ... *Spyro gives her a smile.* ... Y- Yeah... Now that I think about it... He seemed to be better... Then before...

Cynder: *Cynder looks down, still sad, but she seemed to calmer. It looked like some sort of weight had lifted from her eyes.*

*Spyro opens the blue curtains that lead to the wide open caverns.*

Cynder: ... That's good...

*Spyro slowly looks around. He could see a glowing reflection of the water from the caverns. It wasn't an overly long room, but it did have a lot of space. In the surrounding areas was surrounded mosty by water. The rest of the room was carpeted with soft grass, and an ancient metal walk lead elsewhere, mostly to other rooms and the exit, Spyro imagined.*

*That was when Spyro noticed a small pond within the grass. Spyro eyes became bright, as he saw his children, accompanied by Hunter and Bianca.*

Eon: Dad! *Eon said as he hopped to his feet, being the first to notice him finally awake.*

*Hunter and Bianca both exchanged relieved smiles, as they was sitting together with their legs soaking in the water.*

Iggy: D-D-D-Daddy! *Iggy stutters as she races behind quickly behind Eon.*

Spyro: Eon! Iggy!! *Spyro embraced their impact as they hugged his sore body.*

*Cynder hugged his shoulder.*

Hunter: *Hunter slowly walks up, with his arms crossed.* My young lad... You look like a mess...

Spyro: ... Heh... Yeah, I feel like a mess...

Bianca: ... Congratulations... You paved our way here through your struggles...

Eon: Your awesome Dad ...

Spyro: Heh... Well, I dunno about that...

*Spyro then felt the Chronicler peering from behind. Spyro slowly turned, and everyone fell slightly. They all turned to the mysterious Chronicler...*

Spyro: ... Can you help them?

*The Chronicler stared at Spyro for a moment, as all eyes was on him. The Chronicler let out a large heavy breath as he walked forward, towards Spyro and his Children.*

Chronicler: ... *The Chronicler slowly walked closer to Eon, who seemed to only hug Spyro, as he felt uneasy.* ...

Eon: ...

Chronicler: ... *Eon used one hand to grab each side of Eon's cheeks.* ... Hmmm...

*The Chronicler slowly rotated Eon's head, staring closely at his condition. The Chronicler took one final look into Eon's dark eye, before he let go.*

Chronicler: ... I... can stop the darkness from spreading further... *Without saying much else, the Chronicler started to walk away.*

*Spyro and Cynder wasn't exactly thrilled to hear his response.*

Spyro: S-So... You can heal them... Right?

Cynder: ...Are they going to be okay!?

*The Chronicler slowly turned, peering back towards the dragon family.*

Chronicler: ... They'll be fine... *The Chronicler looks slightly away.* ... However... Eon's eye... Might never recover from it's darkened state...

*Eon and his family exchanged concerned looks. Cynder was almost heart broken hearing that.*

Cynder: ... N-Never...?

Spyro: ... *Spyro could see Eon, pleading a response from his father.* ... *He turned back to the Chronicler.* ... But you can stop the spread...?

*The Chronicler was already leaving down the hall.*

Chronicler: ... Yes, ... Just find comfort here... My son will bring you all dinner...

*Spyro couldn't stop staring down that hall. Even after the Chronicler had left the large space of the Celestial Caverns.*

Hunter: ... *Hunter grabbed Spyro's shoulder.* ... Come on... It's getting late... The Chronicler had provided all of us beds...

*Spyro almost didn't hear him. He turned to Hunter, then back towards the hall. Doing this two more times, he finally fully turns.*

Spyro: O-Oh... Did you say a room...?

Hunter: *Hunter nods.* Yes... You should rest and let your body recover...

*Spyro nods before he gets to follow.*

Cynder: *Cynder noticed his struggling first, so she helps him by hugging her body's to his.* ... C-Come on... Just lean into me...

[The Chronicler's Library]

*In the Chronicler's chambers, he was standing over a desk. He was mixing chemical and rare flowers, and a few red Crystal's.*

Chronicler: ...

Frost: W-Wait! Get back here!!

*Soon, the small, white female hatchling, came bursting into the room. Frost was right behind her.*

Lilly: *Lilly stops by and trots to her father, in an angry manner.* ... W-Why didn't you tell me Spyro and his family made it here!?

Frost: *Frost stand more formally, with his whole body straighten.* ... I'm... I'm sorry father... She got... Under my legs...

Chronicler: *The Chronicler just sighs and puts down some leafs.* ... Close the door please...

*Frost whips his tail and quickly closes the door.*

Chronicler: *The Chronicler slowly turned around.* ... Go ahead and speak your emotions dear...

Lilly: Is this why you seat me to my room early!?

Frost: Yes-

*The Chronicler puts a paw up, to silence his son. Frost did so without compliant.*

Chronicler: Spyro and his family will not be staying long...

Lilly: B-But their in a lot of trouble...!

*The Chronicler slowly turned back to his work.*

Chronicler: ... I don't want you to get attached to the outside world... I've told you before...

Lilly: And your just going to send them on their way!?

Chronicler: When they are fully recovered... And able to depart early... Yes...

Lilly: I-Isn't wise... To help them out more...

Chronicler: ... I cannot help them... It is not my place to change the course of fate...

Lilly: Aren't you going to help Eon and his little sister!?

Chronicler: I won't let them die... No?

Lilly: S-So you are helping them!

Chronicler: It is all I will do... Then I must ask them to leave...

Lilly: *Lilly didn't like hearing this.* ... But why!? Those dragons are in so much trouble! Even you told me that with Yumi's power-

Chronicler: You must understand order... Lilly...

Lilly: If order is ignoring the need,... I will not stay here and follow it!

Frost: L-Lilly!

Chronicler: *The Chronicler turned slowly.* ... *Lilly stared into her eyes and saw she was nearly in tears.* ... Did you... Speak to one of them?

Lilly: *Lilly stutters as she steps back.* W-W-What do you mean?

Chronicler: I mean... Did you dream jump?

Frost: ...

Lilly: ... *Lilly looks down, not willing to lie.* ... I ...

*The Chronicler went back to his work, but much slower.*

Chronicler: ... Which one...? The boy...?

Frost: ... *Frost eyes his sister, carefully.*

Lilly: I... I did... Sir...

Frost: ... Tsk... *Frost rolls his eyes.* ...

*The Chronicler walks over to a bear by book self, causing Frost to re-postion him straighter.*

Chronicler: ... What did you tell him?

Lilly: T-That... You could... Help them?

Frost: *Slightly looking away.* ... Rule breaker...

Chronicler: ... Is that it?

Lilly: *Lilly looks down, ashamed of her rule breaking. She did want to respect her father, but this island is all she ever known.* ... T-Thats it father...

*The Chronicler finds a book of natural herbs and poisons.*

Frost: ...

Chronicler: ...

Lilly: ... *Lilly slowly closes her eyes.* ... D-Dad... I'm-

Chronicler: ... You may have permission to meet them tomorrow... *The Chronicler's eyes turn from the book, but only slightly.* ... But understand you must not grow attached...

Frost: *Frost expression becomes angry.* ... But Father!? Isn't that a bit soon for her? She's young, youthful, f-free spirited!

Chronicler: *The Chronicler sets his book down and looks at his son.* ... Your right... And she has no friends... She wants to enjoy her childhood...

Frost: B-But... Obviously with that boy, she might-

*The Chronicler holds a paw up, silencing Frost once again. He stares at Lilly, hard.*

Chronicler: ... Do not get attached...

Lilly: I...

Chronicler: Even if you do... They will leave us... Understood?

Lilly: ... Y-... Yes sir...

Chronicler: *The Chronicler turns to his work, as he opens his book.* Frost... Keep her out of trouble... She may meet them in the morning... Not sooner...

*The Chronicler turns to eye her again.*

Chronicler: ... And that's including... His dreams...

Lilly: ... *Lilly looks down, with a sad blush.* Yes sir...

*Lilly slowly turns around and slowly leaves.*

Frost: ... *Frost peers at her as she walks by him and leaves. He gives his father a glare.* ... Your too easy on her father... How do you know she won't disobey and visit them in their dreams anyways?

*The Chronicler never turned away from his work.*

Chronicler: ... I may not understand her powers quite like she does... But Lilly has never lied...

Frost: And... You think she won't get attached to the boy...? I find that Doubtful...

Chronicler: ... That is why I leave her in your care...

Frost: Do you want me to keep them apart?

*The two fell silent for a long while. Frost shifted his feet.*

Frost: ... Sir?

Chronicler: No... Let her be...

Frost: What do you mean?

Chronicler: Allow her to have freedom, and keep your eye...

... Just make sure... ...She doesn't go with them...
