The forest seemed to be never ending. As he ran through, the branches of the trees creating little cuts that stung, his feet blistering as he ran barefoot hoping to make it. He had to make it or it would all be for nothing. He stumbled when he heard the howls and cries of the beasts getting closer. If he was caught all that they have done would be for naught. A whine emerged from the satchel on his back.

"Shhh little one, you will be safe soon." He hushed the child. His body beginning to feel the strain of running. Still running, he twisted the bag around opening the flap that contained the child. "Im sorry but this has to happen. We must survive this."

The rushing sound of the river was beginning to be heard and the thick forest began to thin. The man slowed his pace as he reached his destination. "I come with the child." He says.

"Good, put the child down and leave it there. We well take care of it." The voice of The Unknown flowed down towards the man. "Go now, your end of the bargain has been fulfilled. The one thing you seek will be in the Arcane Circle north from here."

The man looks back into the bag and pulls out the little thing. Barley old enough to lift its head. "Sorry." He mutterers as he lays the child down at his feet. Glancing behind him, listening for the ones who followed him here. "There's no need to worry, they will not find you now. Now leave." They whispered into his left ear. The man whips around, trying to find the ones who he was speaking to but was unable to. Sacred, he takes off leaving the infant behind, searching for his reward.

When he is out of sight, the shadows shift and morph into two distinct shapes. "Our master will be pleased." The smaller one says. "Yes, with this we will able to finish what they started." The larger of the two states, moving toward the child and picking it up. It reaches and rips the heart out of the child and tosses the unmoving body into the river. "It is rather easy getting everything we need. All these superstitious fuckers." The figure with the still warm heart mutterers as they both disappear back into the shadows. When they are gone, the howls of the beasts are heard once again. Closer than before and now with the shouts of man joining them.

With a gasp, Calla was awoken to the sound of the morning bells. She stretches and slowly rises and hobbles towards the back of the cell to await her food. The same dream again. What does it mean? She hasn't been able to close her eyes for weeks without seeing the same scene over and over. Bang, she is able to hear as the guards start making their rounds till, they reach her.

"Its your lucking day #13, you have a guest." The guard laughs as he shoves her food into the slat. "Make sure to pretty yourself up and maybe you'll be able to leave this place." Calla glares baring her teeth and hisses at the guard. They flinch "Crazy Bitch." The guard muttered as he moved to the cell beside her. Rushing towards her food, barley glancing at the gruel before eating. A guest, that can't be good. Last time someone had a guest, they we passed around and used till the died. She may be stuck in this hellhole but she wasn't going to die like that.
