Bingo and jack had been working together a lot lately. Due to an increasingly complicated hoarder situation. Both jack and bingo were single and needed someone to fill an empty void.

It was after the hoarder property was condemned when they began to talk more. And eventually began to date. Jack didn't really know Loki that well due to his busy schedule and other matters.

One day*

Loki was extremely nervous about Jack coming. He didn't know him that well and due to his history with his father he had trust issues with anyone who dated his mum.

And bingo could telL. She knelt down

"Hey there sweetie. I just wanna make sure that you aren't uncomfortable due to your history with some men. I just want you to know Jack is a good man. He has been me and your aunts friend since we were very little. He worked with your uncle rusty and uncle Mackenzie for many many years. He won't hurt you! Do you understand?" bingo asked

"Yes ma'm" said Loki

Soon Jack arrived.

As soon as he entered to the house The tall Dog intimidated Loki.

Jack some scars on his face much like rusty. He got it from shrapnel from an ied in Afghanistan

The shy pup hid behind bingo.

As soon as Jack laid his eyes on the shy pup he smiled

"Hey there little mate! My name is Jack!" Said Jack kindly

Loki noticed Jack moved. A lot. He also twitched a little at times.

"H-hello sir. M-my name is loki." Said Loki shyly but respectfully

Jack slowly reached his arm out to shake Loki's paw.

loki shook his paw.

Jack seemed really friendly. His twitches and movements confused Loki

"Why do you move like that sir?" Loki asked curiously

"Oh! Well. I have something called adhd." Said Jack

"What's that?" Loki asked

"Well it's this thing that makes you move a lot. Sometimes it makes you forget things as well." Jack explained as simply as possible for the pup.

"Wait. Can I get it?!" Loki asked concerned

"Hehe no mate. People are born with it." Said Jack with a chuckle

"Oh ok." Said Loki with more understanding.

Loki began to open up a little more to Jack after a few hours. Bingo told jack beforehand about what Loki went through and why she adopted him. So Jack decided to stir away from that kind of subject matter until he gained Loki's full trust. Jack had always wanted a better life. Especially since he got back on his feet after his time as a us army ranger and then homeless life on the streets. He had ptsd and he has seen awful things and down awful things to people. He was with a woman he really started to love. He didn't care if she had a child. For him it was an even better opportunity to help someone and love someone who needed it the most. He saw how much of a kind and good mother bingo was to the boy.

And for Loki he liked Jack. But at the same time he was still intimidated by him and had a lot of trust issues. He had a deep fear that one day Jack could do the same thing to bingo. He was only 7 years old and he had seen the worst things mankind is capable of. He also wanted a simple and peaceful life. All he knew as that he needed his mum bingo more than anything and without her he would fall into a deep pit of agony and depression...

Jack,Loki and bingo sat the the table talking.

"How did you get those scars?" Loki asked

Jack's eyes widened a bit as he thought back to the ied incident.

Loki frowned with some guilt and bowed his head in apology

Jack smiled causing Loki to raise his head a little.

"So. You wanna know? Well. When I was an army ranger I ran into a device called an ied!" Said Jack with some enthusiasm to cheer the pup up a little.

"What's that?" Loki asked

"An ied is a small bomb! But don't let it's small size fool ya! It packs a mighty punch! When it blew up in my face a ton of sharp metal from its outer shell went flying full speed into my fur and flesh! Through my uniform and armor as well!!" Jack explained in an excited tone

"Whoa!" Said Loki

"And the explosion made me go flyyying back! And oh boy did it hurt! I thought I was gonna lose my one of my arms and one of my legs! But then a group of brave dogs with a special patch on their helmet came and dragged me so safety!" Jack explained

"Who was the person?" Loki asked Getting invested into the story slowly beginning to smile and wag his little tail

"It was a team of us army medics! They are a group of people who are specially trained to treat people's injuries! They saved me and tons of other good men!" Said Jack enthusiastically

They way Jack described the medics made it seem like super heroes! He was always fascinated by the army and its people. But never asked rusty,Mackenzie or one of the other many vets in his extended family. Something about Jack gave Loki some security and confidence.

Recounting what happened did bring back some unpleasant memories for Jack from his time at war but he refused to let it bring him down. He always looked at his time in the army with a sort of fondness. Sure he went through awful things. But he survived. He made it out and life was getting better and better. And the future seemed to lighten up.

Bingo was happy at the fact that Jack was so kind to Loki. She had always wanted a family of her own. She felt a true connection to Jack. She wanted to take it slow at the same time to make sure their relationship stayed healthy. Loki needed a positive male role model and Jack seemed to already love Loki. she has also seen stories of how step fathers and mothers could be nice at first and then eventually show their true colors. But at the same time she has known Jack since she was 4. He has always been the kindest and most humble guy. Even when he came home from his deployments he would always do his best to have confidence in himself and help others. While yes he did end up being captured in Afghanistan,rescued and then thrown on the streets eventually turning to alcohol to cope with his shame and pain. But he got back on his feet. He no longer drank and he had a good job. He was still kind and humble as ever.

A lot like his girlfriend Jack loved children. His philosophy was to never hurt innocent men,women and especially children. He believed that hurting people who couldn't fight for themselves was cowardly and despicable. He already loved Loki and wanted to provide love and guidance to him...

"Well thank you for your service sir. You and those medics are really brave like my mama!" Said Loki respectfully

Jack smiled

"Thank you mate. It means a lot!" Said Jack happily

Bingo smiled at them. She knew Loki was opening up a lot more
