Spencer slowly wakes up and determines he's in a hospital. He opens his eyes and sees most of the team in the room, who have noticed he's awake.
"Welcome back to the land of the living pretty boy," Morgan says with a chuckle.
"It's good to see you awake, kid," Rossi adds.
"You had us a bit worried Spence," JJ adds.
"Next time maybe don't run off alone," Hotch says, but Spencer knows he's just messing with him a bit.
He sees Emily but she doesn't say anything, which worries him. He motions for JJ to lean towards him so he can whisper,
"Did you find the ring?"
Her expression changes from happiness to some type of panic and terror.
"JJ?" he asks.
"Ya you might wanna talk to Emily about that," she says before ushering the others out of the room while Spencer is mentally screaming.
He looks up to see Emily looking down at her hands, where she is holding the ring.
"Sooo…"Spencer trails off.
"How long have you had it?" Emily asks, looking at him.
"A little over a month," he replies sheepishly.
"Okay. Why'd you bring it while we were working on a case?"
"Well we got called in right at the start of our date so I had no choice by then, and I wasn't going to just leave it in Quantico."
"Oh. OH. You were gonna propose that night!" she exclaims, before coming over to hold him close.
"Ya it was gonna be a surprise. I guess that's kind of ruined now though."
"Well it doesn't have to be completely ruined."
"What do you mean?"
"Spencer I love you but sometimes you're kinda clueless," Emily says, which makes them both laugh.
Emily then says,"Just ask the question."
"What question?" He asks, to which she doesn't answer, just puts the ring in his hand.
Oh. That question.
"Well then. Emily Prentiss, will you marry me?"
"Yes. I will absolutely marry you Spencer Reid," she replies before they both hug each other tightly and share a tender kiss. They break apart and Spencer puts the ring on her finger, both of them smiling wide.
Suddenly the door opens and JJ and Morgan come in followed by Hotch and Rossi.
"Sorry for bursting in, but I did catch a glimpse of what was going on while walking by, and just couldn't wait any longer," JJ tells them with a laugh as she goes to hug both of them, followed by the other three who do the same as they all congratulate the pair.
Soon they all leave the hospital, and once they're on the plane they video call Garcia.
"Oh my god you guys are engaged! I'm so happy for you!" Garcia says.
"Thanks Garcia," Emily and Spencer say, as Garcia begins talking about wedding planning and everything they'll need to do while the rest of the team laughs.
A few months later and the wedding is in a couple of days and tonight are the bachelor and bachelorette parties.
Emily and her bridesmaids, JJ, Penelope, Alex, and Savannah (Morgan's girlfriend) go back to her (and now Spencer's as well) apartment for the start of their night. JJ and Penelope are co maid of honors.
Spencer and his groomsmen, Morgan, Hotch, Rossi, and Kevin Lynch all go to a bar for the start of their night. Morgan is the best man.
The women play drinking games for much of the night, before basically passing out around the apartment. JJ and Emily also set up a dart board, and get very competitive while trying to drunkenly play darts.
The men get hammered while partying at the bar, and then leave and walk back to Morgan's (it was nearby) and decide to play basketball. They split into teams, Derek and Morgan versus Rossi, Hotch, and Kevin. The game doesn't last that long and no one keeps track of the score due to their collective drunkenness. After the game they head into Morgan's and all pass out. Next stop is the wedding.
