Supernatural Resurgence Of Moonlight Ch 5
I woke up the next morning hungover beyond belief and yet I was still ecstatic because I remembered the previous night I had been on a date with my patron goddess! I groaned and turned my head but when I came face to face with Artemis I screamed!
Instantly Artemis was Alert…
"Blake is something wrong?" She asked.
"W-what were you doing in my bed?" I stammered.
"Well after you passed out last night I brought us back here and due to the fact I didn't know my way around I didn't think it wise to wander without you being aware therefore I slept." Artemis replied.
"You were serious then? About wanting to stay with me for a few days?" I asked.
"I was. Though in hindsight perhaps It wasn't best to ask while you were intoxicated.." Artemis said sheepishly.
"It doesnt matter, my answer would have been the same, I guess I am just surprised is all." I replied.
"Apologies." Artemis said.
"You don't have anything to be sorry for." I said.
My Nokia flip phone began ringing and when I looked at the number I cursed.. "Shit!"
"What the hell do you want Winchester?" I asked.
"I need your help on a hunt." Dean replied.
"Cant your old man help you?" I asked.
"Hes not in the area!" Dean said.
"M'Kay and what makes you think I am?" I asked.
"Well for one Bobby gave me your address, and two your cars outside!" Dean replied.
I facepalmed and said "You're already here?"
"This things already killed six people, we gotta stop it before it kills anymore!" Dean said.
"How do I know this isnt you trying to kill me?" I asked.
"Are you nuts?! After your bitch of a girlfriend almost tore my damn arm off?! I may be reckless but I am far from suicidal!" Dean retorted.
"Shes not my Girlfriend but call Artemis a bitch again Winchester and I will shoot you!" I promised.
"Whatever, just get your gear and get out here!" Dean snapped.
I turned to ask Artemis if she wanted to come but to my shock she looked hurt…
"Artemis whats wrong?" I asked.
"We aren't a couple?" She asked with a hurt tone.
"I didn't think we were, I mean we didn't talk about it!" I said quickly.
"Oh. Apologies I had forgotten humans typically discussed becoming a courting couple." Artemis said.
"Gods don't?" I asked.
"No, Once two deities go out on a date once they are seen as a couple." Artemis replied.
"Oh. Well I'm sorry too. I didn't mean to upset you, I would be honored to call you my girlfriend." I said.
"Are you certain? Deities typically only ever take one mate." Artemis asked carefully.
"Of course I'm sure!" I said.
I had a thought and I prayed Artemis wouldnt stab me…
I walked up to Artemis and kissed her on the lips shocking her…
"You realize theres no taking your decision back now Blake?" Artemis asked.
"I don't.."
Dean began pounding on my front door…
"Hurry it up god dammit!" He yelled.
"I swear to chaos I am going to shoot him.." I said.
"You'll have to beat me to it." Artemis said glaring at the door.
As Artemis and I walked out the door Dean leaped out of his impala and shouted "OH HELL NO!"
Artemis smiled slightly and said "Well what has your Panties in a twist Winchester?"
"It took a great deal of willpower not to bust out laughing at that comment!"
Dean turned to me and "She aint coming!"
"And who are you to stop my girlfriend from coming? Especially when she can help?" I retorted.
"After She almost tore my arm off She is not coming in my damn car!" Dean snapped.
"Fine by me, I got a car too Dean!" I shot back.
"Yeah? How you plan on driving with slashed Tires?" Dean asked.
I narrowed my eyes and growled "What did you just say?!"
"You heard me, your tires got slashed!" Dean replied.
"With a speed I think Artemis was proud of I whipped out my dagger and pressed Dean against the brick wall of my apartment with the blade against his throat…
"If you Slashed my damn tires Winchester I swear I will slit your throat like a pig, Zeus knows you eat like one!" I swore.
"Hey now why would I do that? If someone did that to my car I would kill them, I know you feel the same so I aint got no death wish!" Dean said as calmly as he could.
"Blake these were not slashed." Artemis called over to me.
"What do you mean Artemis?" I asked.
"Take a look." She said.
I took a close look at my Tires and saw she was right, there were bite marks in all four tires!
"Werewolves did this!" I growled.
"Yeah, thats we're hunting!" Dean smirked.
"So one werewolf killed six people before you got your ass In gear?" I asked.
"Well why didn't you have your ass in gear to stop them?" Dean shot back.
"Possibly Because the first full moon of the month was last night and Blake and I were otherwise occupied" Artemis interrupted before I could say anything.
"Look it don't matter. Lets get these wolves before they kill anyone else, we got two days!" I said.
"Whoa who said you're in Charge? Dean asked.
"Me, and given the fact I've been hunting long before you or anyone else alive today was born I suggest you shut up!" Artemis said.
To my surprise Dean actually listened…
As we rolled to a stop in front of the Police department Dean turned to us and said "Hope you two got fake ids!"
"Do you one better Dean!" I said. I reached into My pocket and pulled out my FBI badge…
"What the hell?!" Dean asked. He snatched the badge from me and examined it handing it back a few moments later with a shocked look on his face…
"That thing aint fake…" He said.
"Nope! I said. I am actually a federal agent!" I said.
I walked into the Police department and up to the front desk where the receptionist a blonde female looked up and said "Can I help you?"
I pulled out my Badge and said "No but you can tell me where the Police Chief is. I'm Agent Blake Smith with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, I'm here to speak with him about the recent murders!"
The receptionist took one look at my badge and she called the Chief to the front…
