Supernatural Resurgence of Moonlight Ch.6
I was quickly led into the Chiefs Office where I was greeted…
"So how can I assist you Agent Smith?" He asked.
"What can you tell me about the killers MO so far?" I asked.
"Well the bodies are mutilated and there are multiple organs missing including the heart, lungs and kidneys, on two of the bodies the blood was entirely drained, its like the killer is switching MO's! the chief stated.
My eyes widened when the chief mentioned Blood being drained as that meant vampires…
"Is there anything else you can tell me?" I asked.
"Not at the moment, but I can call to the morgue and tell them to let you in!" the chief offered.
"That would be most appreciated Chief, we'll be in touch." I promised.
I walked out to where the impala was to find Artemis waiting on me and the impala gone…
"Artemis wheres Dean because I got bad news and he aint gonna like it." I said.
"He went to get food, asked me to teleport you there once you got out, whats wrong?" My girlfriend demanded.
"It isnt just werewolves we're dealing with, we got vampires too!" I said.
"That may be troublesome for him but not for us Blake. Artemis assured me.
"It will be if he gets in our way, you may be at full power Artemis but you said it yourself you cant heal a fatal wound even at full strength!" I countered.
"That's true, but theres still no cause for concern, Dean comes from an experienced family two of them in fact, he can handle this same as we can." Artemis said."
"I hope you're right, can you take me to Dean?" I asked.
In response Artemis touched my shoulder and we appeared outside of a fast food restaurant right next to Dean…
"Holy shit!" He yelped.
"Hey Dean, whats the matter you look like you saw a ghost! I taunted.
"You're an asshole you know that?" Dean asked.
"I'm well aware of that one Dean, but uh pretty sure Vampires are bigger assholes then me!" I hinted.
"What are you talking about, I thought it was werewolves we were hunting." Dean said.
"Oh it is but it seems either the werewolves are working with vampires or there's more than one monster in this town!" I said.
"Again how did you not notice this before, especially if vampires are here too?!" Dean demanded.
"And again Artemis and I were busy last night Dean." I snapped.
"So you both were too busy having Sex that you couldn't bother to save six peoples lives?!" Dean demanded.
I stepped towards Dean but Artemis beat me to it this time around picking him up by the throat and shoving him against the wall of the restaurant…
"Oh shit Hell hath no wrath like a woman pissed…" I though to myself.
"First of all Dean Winchester that is not what we were doing last night and even if it were its none of your damn concern! Second how DARE you insinuate that we wouldn't have killed these monsters had we known they were here!" Artemis growled.
Despite Artemis crushing his throat Dean managed to wheeze out "Its not an insinuation if its the truth!"
In response my girlfriend merely tightened her grip to deadly force before I put a hand on her shoulder prompting Artemis to look at me..
I shook my head and said "He aint worth it Artemis."
"I suppose you're right my love." She conceded.
Artemis dropped Dean to the ground where he proceeded to fall on his ass…
"Dont cross paths with us again Dean Winchester." Artemis warned.
"Artemis come on." I said.
"Blake we should still hunt the creatures that did this." Artemis said as we walked away.
"I know, and we only have a couple days until the full moons over." I replied.
"I can extend it if I must." Artemis said.
"Seriously?" I asked.
"The moon is my one of my main domains, along with hunting Its what I have the most power over but I cant extend it for more than another three days." Artemis said.
"How much time until sunset?" I asked.
"About seven hours, what do you wish to do until then?" Artemis asked.
"I kinda want to get to know you better and ask some questions about Greek myths I don't know the answers to." I said.
"Very well, I can try and answer some of them." Artemis said.
"How are Greek gods actually made, I know in the myths godhood can be offered but I don't know how its done in actuality." I said.
"Interested In becoming a god hmm?" Artemis teased.
"Not exactly, just curious." I replied.
"Well Fortunately this is something I can answer having participated in the ritual myself. To become a god or goddess you would need the approval of all twelve main Olympian Deities, you would already have mine of course and I am quite sure you would have my fathers." Artemis began.
"Then what?" I asked.
"After approval is obtained by eleven gods a twelfth comes forth and offers their personal support as a sort of sponsor and then the ritual begins." Artemis explained.
"Is the ritual painful?" I asked.
"The ritual isn't painful per-say but it is uncomfortable as you would be transitioning from human to god. Artemis answered.
"You ever sponsor someone?" I asked.
"Gods no" Artemis laughed.
"Besides you Blake the only one I would have considered showing support for was Theseus and he didn't get offered godhood." Artemis said.
"So you really think the Olympians would give me their blessing?" I asked.
"I believe most would, the only ones who may hesitate are Dionysus and my twin brother Apollo and unfortunately for them the council is majority rule." Artemis said.
I began to contemplate the benefits of becoming a god.."
"Can I ask how long the ritual would take?" I asked.
"An hour or so. The thing that would be time consuming would be gaining the gods approval, but it would still be done before nightfall If you actually want to attempt this." Artemis said.
"I think it would be a good idea.. It would make me harder to kill right?" I asked.
"Of course, gods are extremely hard to kill even by heavenly beings." Artemis said.
"Could an archangel kill a deity at full power?" I asked.
"I may be biased being a deity but this is the truth, I doubt heaven wants to admit it but even the archangels would have trouble defeating a deity at full power, My father almost killed the archangel Raphael with a single bolt of lightning while weakened." Artemis bragged.
" Thats pretty impressive." I commented.
"Tell him that it will play to your favor, now hold tight, hopefully that damned party is at least slowing down." Artemis remarked.
Artemis took my elbow and we found ourselves in an elegant throne-room where the seats of power for all twelve Olympian Gods sat and eleven out of twelve were currently filled…
The god in the center throne Zeus I presumed stood from his throne and immediately shrunk down….
"Daughter we have been expecting you as well as your guest." Zeus said.
"How in Hades?!" Artemis demanded.
"You forget sister I'm a god of prophecy!" Said a voice.
"Apollo it figures." Artemis retorted.
I quickly knelt before the king of Olympus and said "Lord Zeus its an honor, I've heard tales of your might. Strength that rivals an archangel, I must say I was quite impressed!" I said.
Zeus let a laugh and with it came a boom of thunder…
"I like you Blake Smith, I can see how you won Artemis heart!" Zeus said.
A god with a salt and pepper beard stood and asked "Why have you come Blake?"
"I have come to formally request godhood Lord Poseidon." I replied.
"A hefty request Blake, even if you won the heart of my daughter." Zeus said.
"I understand." I said.
"If you can give us a reason to do this then perhaps we will." Poseidon said.
I reached into the pack on my back and pulled out a scroll…
"Perhaps this is a good enough reason." I said.
I tossed the scroll to Zeus who unfurled it and as he read it his eyes widened…
"Blake this scroll permanently restores the Greek pantheon to full power without the need for sacrifices, where did you get this?" Zeus asked.
"Found it in Athens a year ago when Artemis asked me to hunt a nest of vampires." I replied.
"If we turn you into a god and accept you into the Greek pantheon will you give us this scroll?" Poseidon asked.
"That's why I pulled it out, but I want to pick my domains." I said.
The gods of Olympus gathered together and after a moment Zeus approached me and said "You have a deal."
One by one the Olympians approached me and gave their approval until one remained…
My girlfriend approached me and began to speak…
"Blake smith do you pledge yourself to Olympus and swear to defend it from attack?" Artemis asked.
"Until my final breath." I swore.
"Then I Artemis goddess of the moon and the hunt agree to be your sponsor, state what your godly name and domains will be henceforth!" Artemis replied.
"My name shall be Andros and my domains will be Shadows, dimensions and strength!" I said firmly.
"It shall be done." Artemis commanded.
Immediately I was bathed in an unearthly golden glow and as Artemis promised it wasn't painful but it was sure as hell uncomfortable!
It was an hour later the glow faded and I felt different, like I could tear the fabric between worlds with a flick of the wrist…
"Let us welcome Andros to the Olympian council!" Zeus thundered!
The entire room yelled in approval before Zeus held up a hand…
"Andros I will have Hephaestus forge you a symbol of power, what kind of weapon do you prefer?" Zeus asked.
"A scythe if possible and I would like it to be enchanted to return to me when thrown." I said.
"It will be done. I thank you for the scroll, it will affect you as well which is the reason you turned you into a god before using it." Zeus explained.
"Father, thank you. Blake and I Must be returning to our hunt, its almost sundown." Artemis said.
"Andros your weapon will be delivered upon its completion." Zeus said.
I nodded.
Artemis grabbed my wrist and we flashed out….
Well everyone thus ends chapter six and just a heads up there will be some lemon in the next chapter! Finally Blake or Andros as he will now be known and Artemis will get together!
