She threw her keys on her table and headed straight to bed, her head spinning violently without the aid of alcohol. As she charged her cell phone her eyes caught the missed call symbol from Jason. Ashley needed more time before facing him, especially after kissing Mike but to save herself ruining relationships for a second time she called him back. After several rings, a faint click could be heard. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Hey, Ashley, thanks for returning my call." /span/p

p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""I'm glad you phoned actually," Ashley started to mould an apology in her mind, "You really have nothing to apologise for, I thought over the entire situation and you're right, I handled that situation entirely selfishly I just wanted to blow off steam after being with Mike and one thing led to another." Ashley paused trying to gauge Jason's reaction. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""I'm glad you had a moment to think but I didn't say those things to make you hurt. I'm also sorry I made you regret it as well." /span/p

Ashley hung up and placed her phone back on charge. She couldn't help but smile, feeling that things were back on track now. The only downside was that now she didn't know where she stood with her feelings. On the one hand, she's loved Mike since high school in a one-sided battle for his attention, but now that the feelings were reciprocated, she had these strange feelings for Jason. It wasn't nearly what she felt with Mike, but that wasn't a bad thing. With Jason she realised she had felt more appreciated in a romantic setting. Ashley had to figure out where she stood with herself and her feelings, but for the time being, she was happy she was a in good place with both of them. /span/p

"What are we doing" Michael questioned. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Just wait," Mike pressured, "They're doing this on purpose." /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Who's they?" Michael sat down at the middle table, "The animatronics? They're robots Mike." Mike grew impatient. He walked up to the stage and inspected the back panels of each of them. "What the hell are you doing?" Michael expressed in a shocked tone, "If Terry knew you tampered with the Animatronics on your night shift, he'd have your head." /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""They should be up by now, give me a second." Mike grunted shining his flashlight at the nape of Freddy Fazbear. Michael pushed himself off the chair with a grunt and turned to the exit of the building. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""If there's nothing else, I'll be on my way." As the last of Michael's words left his mouth a mechanical whirring sound could be heard from Mike's general direction. Michael slowly turned around to face Mike. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""I knew it!" Mike shouted over to Michael, "This big switch thing wasn't lit up." /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""The.. circuit catch," Michael stuttered "It's basically the manual off and on button for the animatronics, I turned it off to maintain them over this weekend…" /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""You idiot this is who I wanted to show you." Mike laughed. Michael glanced over at Mike wondering just how clinically insane his new colleague was. Before he could return an aggravated retort, he heard Mike's simple question to a seemingly impossible situation, "You Good" Mike uttered to the seemingly lifeless animatronic bear as it slowly began to lift the components in it's neck. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Well rested, sir," Freddy remarked almost sarcastically. Michael's veins ran as cold as the mechanical innards in which were harboured in each animatronic. He choked to exhale any noise in which to speak but found himself and his vocal cords completely frozen stiff. He was feeling sheer terror. Mike turned to his new friend and immediately recognised the face Michael was making, as he himself had done so in the past. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Michael, listen buddy," Mike began turning cogs in his head on how he would explain the situation without causing log term mental trauma to Michael, "Take a deep breath and sit back down, okay?" Michael couldn't meet Mike's gaze. He was fixated on the 8-foot-tall bear in which he had spent many years repairing and working on, now stretching his arms like an overworked salaryman. Mike approached the technician slowly as to not cause him panic. He carefully rested his hands on Michael's shoulders, which caused Michael an involuntary spasm back into reality. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Mike, we need to get the FUCK out of here." Michael struggled to keep his voice low as to not cause any reaction to Freddy. Mike nodded calmly and proceeded to push Michael into the chair he was previously sat in. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Wait," Mike breathed, "I know how freaked out you must be right now but the one thing I must make perfectly clear is that they will not hurt you." /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""They" Michael shuddered as his eyes slowly panned over the remaining animatronics on stage as he noticed they, too, also began to slowly move. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""The best piece of advice I can give you right now," Mike paused as he knew his next words were sure to tip the technician over the edge, "Is to not run." Michael desperately wanted to but for the past ever-lasting seconds he had been watching Freddy he had lost all feeling in the lower part of his body. "Take a deep breath okay, I'm going to start the introductions." /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;" /span/p

p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;"Scattered bottles of liquor and half-smoked cigarettes lay strewn across the kitchen counters as the tipsy monster stabbed at his mind on why he let his employee treat him like a villain. He knew why. The answer plagued his every minute of conscious thought. The day the question was answered, he knew, would be the day he paid his dues. For now the two emotions of self-hatred and blood lust made love as he reached for his phone and dialled a harsh tone. The phone clicked as a raspy voice breathed down the other end. "When and where." This wasn't so much a question as it was an informal acceptance of the task brewing in Terry's mind. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Fazbear's Pizza, 6am." The other end fell silent as the feint sound of a lead pencil scrawling messily along paper was heard throughout. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Payment first." /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""I know the drill," coughed Terry, ignorant in his drunken stupor. He opened his computer and signed into his bank account. As the slow churning of computer components filled together to complete terry's task, two silent beeps where heard on the other end. They had received the payment. "I want pictures." Terry growled; his sinister grin almost heard through the phone. A couple of excruciating second later and the connection was cut. Terry coughed up a laugh, the same childish giggle a child would do if they had blamed their missing homework on the dog. Something had been set in motion and it wasn't a pizza delivery. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;" /span/p

p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;"Michael couldn't move. It had been almost an hour since the shocking revelation had left him in an almost hypnotised state. Mike had moved himself up onto the stage now and had started explaining the situation to the three animatronics, "Right listen guys," Mike began, "This guy is my new friend and OUR new step in the right direction to catching whoever did this to you." /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Yeah?" teased Bonnie, "Let's see exactly what he knows." Bonnie turned his attention to the technician who stationed his gaze firmly at his feet below. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Not a good idea, Bonnie," Freddy cautioned, shaking his head at the Bunny, "You want to give this guy a heart attack? Look at how he's acting before you go all 'good cop, bad cop' on him" Bonnie sighed and past a turning glance at Mike. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""What do you suggest we do?" Bonnie prodded. Mike scratched the back of his neck and let out his held breath. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Honestly," Mike questioned himself, "I didn't expect him to react like this, he had always been so level-headed." Mike sat on the edge of the stage and hopped off to the floor. "Give me 5 minutes and I want you to approach, Chica, when I give the signal, slowly." Chica nodded diligently. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""I am the kindest choice." Chica explained. Bonnie shot her a glance of childish jealousy and disbelief before Mike left their vicinity. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Hey, buddy," Mike cooed towards Michael's direction, "How you holding up?" /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""I-" Michael gathered himself for a brief moment, "I want to know what's going on, but at the same time I'm terrified to know the answer." Mike sat next to Michael and offered him a cold can of soda out of his backpack he had placed on the table previously. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""We have all night. Let's just take this slow, okay?" /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Yeah…" /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;"Mike glanced in Chica's direction and the giant Yellow chicken slowly approached them. With every heavy footstep Michael shuddered, not wanting to accept what was stomping towards him. Michael forced his eyes up towards the chicken's and forced back any violent shakes of terror. His father always told him that if he was to face death, do it as an old friend. These words rang true to him in this moment. Chica let out as kind and sympathetic a smile as a haunted robot could. It was rather chilling. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Okay remain quiet right now and just answer his questions," Mike whispered in Chica's direction, "This is the best way forward." Chica nodded and knelt down at the end of the table to meet Michael's gaze. "Alright Michael, ask any question." Mike pulled himself together just long enough to ask the most pressing question. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Are you alive, or rather awake, sorry, when I do my maintenance on you guys?" Chica let out a small giggle which shocked Michael at first but subconsciously helped him to relax. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""We're awake," Chica smiled, "We just don't, or sometime's can't respond." Chica tilted her head as the technician nodded slowly. "We love your stories by the way," Chica cooed, "Especially the one about you in the mirro-"/span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Alright! I get it no need to share the rest!" Michael interjected. Chica let out a loud yet slightly mechanical giggle. Michael realised it's exactly the types of giggles you hear from a little kid on Christmas. A few seconds pass and Michael joins in the laugh, then Mike and the other animatronics. He was finally relaxing. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Hey tell Mike about the sport's event in second grade Michael!" Bonnie jeered from off the stage. Another few hours passed as the animatronics and the two men swapped pleasantries and then revealed who they were, why they were and why they weren't. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Okay, wow," Michael sighed jacket now sat on the chair and a couple of empty cans sitting strewn next to him, "So you were the kids from… back then?" /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Yeah." Freddy replied. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""We don't remember much," Foxy chimed in for one of the first times tonight, "We remember the day and we remember snippits of information like the uniform and the… pain but after that we only remember waking up like, this." Michael shook his head in disbelief, not at the situation but at the fact someone could do something like that to children. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""That thing about Terry as well," Michael turned to Mike who was sat laughing with Bonnie, "That all true?" /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Oh yeah," Mike sneered a vicious grin at the floor, "Caught him myself. That's why he's the main suspect right now." Michael solemnly nodded taking everything in. He knew this company was dodgy since he was a child but he had no idea to the extent of how far the villainy fell. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Right well since you've shared with me," Michael began opening his briefcase and pulled out a few dusty folders, "Here's my suspects." By the end of the night the 6 had come up with 4 suspects they decided to follow. Terry Fazbear, the lead suspect. Reggie Ortega, a shareholder in the company who had went to prison previously for kidnapping and sexual assault of a minor. Lucille Trapp, previous head of Food and beverage at Fredbear's Diner who mysteriously disappeared around the time the killings took place and finally, Mr. Fazbear, Terry's dad who had previously ran the two establishments. Although Terry never wore a purple uniform he had access to them so he still counted. The names were set and it was only a matter of tracking them down and finding out the truth. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;"6am rolled around sooner than they all had thought and with all leads now shared between the group, Michael planned to keep turning up every evening with Mike so that they could share new developments. The four animatronics bid the two of them a goodbye and rested back into their positions for the day ahead. Mike walked Michael back to the office and stored the information securely in a locked box so that they would not lose them. He picked up his staff ID and headed towards the door, locking it behind them. The sun was barely peeking out behind the skyline and Mike let out a triumphant yawn as a sign that the meeting had gone well. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""So they're not so bad are they?" Mike laughed as Michael stretched his back. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""I just can't believe they had listened to all my stories." They both shared a laugh as a black sedan hurled into the car park. "Morning shift isn't supposed to arrive for another two hours." Michael questioned checking his wristwatch. The car screeched to a halt a few metres in front of the two, completely ignoring any spaces free, instead choosing to park in between a curb and a lamppost. Four stocky men appeared out the car all dressed in dark clothes. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Can we help you, guys?" Mike shouted over to them, "Freddy's isn't open for a while" The man who stepped out the left side of the back approached slowly with his hands in his pockets and a raspy tone upset the peaceful quiet of the early morning. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Didn't tell me there was two of ya." The man spat, "That's gonna cost double." Mike and Michael both looked at each their with a worried expression. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Listen just get back in your car and we'll forget we ever saw you, okay?" Michael bargained before he was approached and quickly grabbed by two of the other men. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""What the fuck are you doing? Who are you?!" Mike gasped angrily at his friend getting grabbed moments before he two was grabbed from behind. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"span style="font-size: 12pt;""Greetings from the boss, kid." The man who had spoken revealed a switchblade from out of his pocket and before Mike could react he felt an impossible pressure within his side. He had been stabbed. Mike fell to the ground with a flood, blood slowly seeping out of his fresh wound as Michael roared. He kicked his legs up and struck the kidneys of one of the men holding him to wriggle free from the grasp. He stormed towards the man with a knife but before reaching him his head was cracked with a baseball bat by the fourth man. He, too, fell to the ground. /span/p

/span/p
