Marmalade looked as if she might sink into the floor.

"She certainly is similar isn't she" Conifer said carefully, "why would that be?" he gave Marmalade a venomous glare, clearly putting the pieces together, Dragonfly caught on fast, her eyes widening.
"Anything you want to tell us?" she asked her voice radiating menace.
"N-no" Marmalade whimpered beginning to cry.
"Enough!" webs shouted for attention "Marmalades personal affairs are none of our business"
"I disagree" conifer responded "these are details I feel we should know"
"Agreed!" dragonfly exclaimed "something your hiding Marmalade?"
"Can you cut it out!?" Agate yelled at them "you-are-scaring-her!"
"WE DESERVE TO KNOW IF SHE IS RELATED TO WASP!"
"BY THAT LOGIC SHE COULD BE RELATED TO JEWEL!" Agate screamed back, "HOW DID YOU EVEN REACH THAT CONCLUSION!?" her blood was boiling at this point, the others still overlooking the scene.

"So, what are you hiding?" dragonfly spat "you are royalty for one and look strikingly like wasp for another" she listed off.
"Just stop it" Agate retorted.
"N-no, I-Its fine" Marmalade sobbed tears streaming from her face, "its… you, you get u-used to being blamed for your family, and what they d-did"
Oh, Marmalade, why you of all dragons?
"C'mon it's okay" Agate tried to calm Marmalade.
"Its okay!?" Dragonfly scoffed "No it isn't, were supposed to trust each other!"
"So, she has to tell us the details of her life in the first introduction"
"Yes" Dragonfly responded.
"C'mon Marmalade" Agate said evenly "were out of here"
"Wait!" Webs shouted as they walked out the door "where are you going?"
"Anywhere but here" Agate shouted back.
"W-were am, are we going" Marmalade asked her voice still shaking.
"Want to go to our cave?"
*Sniff* "Uh-uh o-okay"
"Alright let's head over"

Why is it always the dragons that clearly can't handle these things, I hope she's going to be okay.
Why did I have to be born to Wasp? She had other heirs; she didn't need me.
"Marmalade?" Agate snaped Marmalade out of her thoughts.
"*sniff* yes"
"Are you okay?"
"Y-yes" Marmalade stammered "I'm fine"
"Marmalade please," Agate murmured looking into her eyes.
"I-I-I *sob*" Marmalade broke down, the last of her mental fortitude shattering, "they all hate me!" she cried, her tears blurring the rest of the room, "I never even met my mother! She was dead before I even hatched! But they still act as if I'm tainted, she buried her head in her talons.
She probably hates me, then I'll have no friends
Marmalade was dumbfounded when agate got up, sat beside her, and proceeded to wrap her into a warm hug.
"it's not your fault Marmalade" Agate murmured "you are the sweetest dragon I have ever met; you deserve a chance to prove yourself" Marmalade simply didn't know how to respond.
"Would you like me to show you a special spot I discovered?"
"Y-you s-still want to be my friend?"
"Would I be asking you to come with me if I didn't"
"Yes! Let's go!" Marmalade shouted unable to control her smile.

As they flew out of the mountain, Agate was happy to see Marmalade in good spirits.
"You're going to find this so cool"
"What is it?" Marmalade asked.
"it's like a really big cave, but not a cave, a really huge pit I guess"
"What from?"
"I have no idea" Agate answered "you have to see it then you'll understand what I mean"
They flew over the grassy fields in silence, the lush hills passing by beneath them.
Where is it? I swear it was one of these, oh there it is!
"Were here" Agate shouted over too marmalade gesturing over to the large hill that lay before them.
"Wow" Marmalade breathed.
"Quite strange isn't it" Agate murmured still trying to figure out how the massive gash in the slope formed.
"Want to go inside?" Marmalade asked.
"Shure, we better be careful though" Agate responded half listening as they landed on the slope, and began their decent.
"Wow" Marmalade exclaimed her voice filled with wonder "it's the size of our cave"
"This is pretty awesome" Agate agreed.
What is that?
Agate crouched down to examine what looked to be the oxidized bands of a bracelet, upon closer inspection it turned out to be made up of twisted bands of copper and three moonstones that glimmered a faint white light, next to the curious bracelet, was a mouse skull that had been smoothed to the texture of velvet.
"Hey marmalade look at this!" Agate whispered.
"What are those doing down here?" Marmalade asked mystified.
"I have no clue"
"let's take them with us"
"alright" Agate agreed slipping them into her pouch "but let us get out of here first, it's getting cold, andidontlikesmallspaces"
As interesting as the hole had been, the treasure's that Agate had found where even better.
"Thanks for showing me this Agate, it means a lot"
"No problem" Agate grinned back.
"So want to look around and see if there is anything else lying around?"
"Shure" Agate replied "it's not like we have anywhere to be"
The two began to look around for any other interesting things, they found a grand total of: nothing, however as they were preparing to head back something under a rock caught Marmalade's eye.
"Look at this"
"What is it?" Agate asked, gesturing to the charred piece of scroll in marmalades talons.
"I don't know" Marmalade responded, excitement radiating off her "it says something"
"let's see it" Agate said only mildly interested.
"Carful its heavily charred" Marmalade warned, excitement only growing as Agates eyes widened reading the tiny piece of scroll.
"M-marmalade" it was shocking to hear Agate's voice waiver.
"yes" marmalade answered cautiously noticing Agates suddenly serious tone.
"Do you know what you just found?"
"N-no"
"You just found the most powerful thing to ever exist"
"What!?" Marmalade squawked eyes wide.
"You, just found, possibly the last piece of Darkstalkers scroll to ever exist"
"What does that mean" Marmalade gulped.
"It means you have the power to do anything"
"You mean we, have the power to do anything!" Marmalade exclaimed giving Agate a hug.
Agate had no idea what to do, she had the most powerful item in Phyria and yet now more than ever she was questioning everything she had done up to this point, Marmalade however was the happiest she had been all day.

"Hey Marmalade, want to get dinner?"
"Okay" Marmalade responded still looking at the piece of scroll.
"We should probably hide it" Agate suggested knowing it wouldn't be hard, as the remaining scroll was about the size of a claw.
"How about in this book" marmalade suggested taking out a copy of the book of Clearsight she had, even though her reading ability was fairly poor.
"That should work"
"What are you working on Agate?" Marmalade asked as agate finished fixing the bands of the bracelet.
"Just fixing this for you" Agate responded.
"Why aren't you keeping it?" Marmalade asked.
"Well, a thank you would have been appreciated" Agate joked "as for you question, I already have enough jewelry whereas you have none, mainly I am giving this to you because you are my friend"
"Oh thanks" Marmalade said only now noticing her lack of sparkles, stark even next to Agates minimal jewelry: a pair of gold bracelets and an amber teardrop earing.
"Well, you going to put it on?" Agate said handing it to Marmalade.
"Uh, okay" Marmalade said slipping it on to her left wrist "let's go"
Lets hope they decide to be nicer to her, or so help me someone is getting stabbed.
