Marmalade struggled to wake up, her drug-soaked brain refusing to fully wake up.
"Agate?" she called out "Agate, where are you?" she got no answer.
Arghhhhhh I'm going to have to go find her myself
Marmalade wobbled out of her cave, her legs stiff from disuse, hiding behind a corridor she saw dragons milling about talking quietly in somber tones.
What is going on, and how long was I out?
No one was in the prey center, classes were empty, and the teachers appeared to being a meeting.
Arghhhh fine I enchant this pebble to teleport me to the entrance of the room Agates in
Immediately Marmalade found herself Infront of the medical cave.
"A-agate?" Marmalade whispered, no response, she poked her head into the cave and nearly screamed.
"A-agate" Marmalade cried tears streaming down her face, Agate was breathing slowly, her eyes closed, the worst part was the bloody bandage tied around her neck.
"N-no please no, this can't be happening" she rushed to the hammock, and gently nudged Agate, "please *sob* wake up Agate" Marmalade wept "y-your my only *sob* friend" the stillness of Agate made it worse "p-please I n-need you" brushing her claws across Agate's still face, "I-I *sob* l-love you" Marmalade began to uncontrollably cry.
"uhhhhhh…" Marmalade heard Sunny say as the Sandwing walked in.
"p-please don't tell anyone I'm here" Marmalade asked, visibly shaking the tears still flowing down her face.
"Alright" Sunny sighed, sitting next to Agate's hammock.
"Who did this to her?" Marmalade asked.
"It was a scavenger" Sunny responded looking at Agate sadly "it attacked her a week ago, Thorn dealt with it shortly after" Sunny then proceeded to put her face in her talons and weep.
I enchant Agate the Sandwing to be healed of the injuries caused by the scavenger that attacked her
Marmalade pulled the bandage off, placed her talons on top of Agate's, and watched as the scales smoothed over the ragged wound.
"Agate?" Marmalade whispered, half expecting nothing to happen.
"Mrffm" Agate responded groggily.
"You're okay" Marmalade murmured, tears in her eyes.
"What happe-" Agate was cut off by Marmalade bending down and kissing her in what could only be described as an awkwardly fast "oh screw it" kind of thing.
"Sorry" Marmalade said looking embarrassed, "don't really know where that came from"
"Uh, I don't… I mean I didn't… it was…ermmm" Marmalade was surprised when Agate returned the favor, practically leaping out of her hammock to lock jaws with her.
"What was-" Sunny was ripped out of her tear-soaked thoughts, by the sudden loud noises, and was shocked to be met with Agate and Marmalade awkwardly making out in the corner.
What am I doing? I mean I love this but, how on the moons did I get here?
"uhhhhh glad to see your up… uhhhh normally I would give you a hug… but I'm going to leave you two at it" Sunny said not quite Shure what to do, before deciding to leave.
Oh, shit I forgot she was here, hopefully I don't get knocked out again, oh well I'm going to keep this going as long as possible
"Well, that was something wasn't it" Agate laughed trying to catch her breath.
"Well, I guess you know how I feel now" Marmalade chuckled awkwardly "does this mean you feel the same? Or-"
"I just made out with you for a solid two minutes, so what do you think"
"So yes"
"Correct, we have a winner!"
"Er what was it like to be in a coma?"
"I didn't know I ever fell asleep" Agate responded confused "why bring it up now?"
"wanted to know if it was different from my drug induced coma then"
"What do you mean by drug induced coma?"
"Well, you've been out a week and they topped up my sedative every day after you stabbed me, the only reason I got out was both becoming resistant to it, struggling against it, and today whoever it was is late"
"Oh sorry"
"I deserved it Marmalade responded"
"No, you didn't"
"Its fine, were fine now"
"Well, I guess" Agate resounded
Marmalade looked onto Agates dark eyes, "everything is fine, I have you now"
"I have you now" That line repeated over and over inside Agate's head.
"And I have you" she shot back feeling as if she might float away, Marmalade chose this moment to tilt her head and start the kiss back up.
Sure, I'll go along with it
It was almost surreal to Agate that she would fall for Marmalade, mostly because she wasn't particularly interested in females, there just seemed to be something about Marmalade that was special, a spark per say, she couldn't put her claw on it though.
I think it's just the way she so completely trusts me? yes, it's her faith that makes the difference, and her selflessness, traits I lack in some situations
She cut off the internal debate, and simply began to enjoy this time with Marmalade.
Got to enjoy this while it lasts, dragons will most likely be heading in this direction and I'd rather not be first seen doi-
Moon Qibli and Thorn burst through the door.
Oh shit
"uhhhh how's it going?" Agate tried, untangling herself from a flustered Marmalade.
"you're okay!?" the three burst out at once.
"Well yes, as you can see" Agate responded.
"I thought you were going to die" Thorn cried, tears of joy running down her snout.
"I probably would have honestly" Agate responded now letting it sink in herself.
"I assume Marmalade prevented that" Qibli said, clearly thinking to himself.
"Uh yes that's right"
We did much more than that, it was great, of course but I'm not telling anyone about that
"You did what?" Moon responded shocked by what she saw while prodding through Agates thoughts.
"Shit I should have put up my mental shield" Agate muttered to herself, she then heard Marmalade murmur something.
"What did you enchant" Qibli asked Marmalade, seeing Moon's expression change to confusion.
"uhhhh nothing"
"What Did you do?" Thorn asked menace creeping into her voice.
"IenchantedAgatetobeimunetomindreaders" she mumbled quickly.
"WHAT?" Thorn screamed raising her tail barb, "you enchanted my daughter"
"Yes, how else would I enchant someone?"
"A bracelet a necklace or anything else!"
"Oh, I can do that?" she asked.
"YES" Moon and Qibli shouted in unison.
"Take the enchantments off my daughter" Thorn commanded tail barb raised.
"No"
"Five seconds"
"But if I do that she'll die!" Marmalade cried out "in fact I enchant Agate so that nothing can undo the previous enchantments placed upon her as well as any new ones I add"
"Wrong choice!" Thorn shouted stabbing with her tail.
"omffffff" Agate grunted as the stinger went through her wing and was blocked.
"AGATE WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Thorn screamed seeing her barb pierce her daughters wing membrane.
"Stopping you from killing my girlfriend, while your irrational and angry" she responded to the surprise of the dragons who had gathered outside, "Thanks Marmalade" she sighed as her wing healed over and the small venom starburst vanished.
"Anyway, who's hungry?" she asked "I for one haven't eaten for a week, and I'm sure Marmalade feels the same" she left her audience breathless as she led Marmalade to the prey center.
Kizar woke with a jolt, the cold stone of his cave pressing against his bare flesh.
Why the fuck don't I have clothes on?
Then it dawned on him.
Holy shit Thorn killed me, wait that makes no sense I enchanted myself to be unable to… well that was stupid as fuck, I left the wording up to interpretation
Kizar had no clue what he was going to do, on one hand he could attempt to reclaim his belongings, but risk dying again, or he could put the enchantment to use and become a dragon and not die from hunger or thirst.
Well as much as I hate the prospect of it, I'm going to have to become what I hate
Kizar quickly left the cave and made his way along a long corridor and saw a mob of dragons inside a medium sized cave, "what the fuck" he exclaimed as he noticed they were huddled around his bloated corpse.
How long was I dead?
He continued down the hallway and noticed Agate and her friend sitting in a library reading scrolls.
Well, I can't be too salty can I, I did technically attack her first, but back to the question how long was I gone?
He ran towards the rays of morning sunlight that streaked in from the end of a small corridor, only to be disappointed by the fact that there was one very large Seawing blocking his way out.
Tsunami I think, if I remember correctly one of the "precious" dragonets of destiny
Kizar looked at the Seawing then at the dark torch lit caves.
You know what, fuck it I would rather die again than be stuck in these caves
Kizar simply began to sprint towards the menacing dragon, "OVER HERE BITCH!"
Tsunami clearly confused looked down to see Kizar slide under her.
"What in the moons?"
"Bet you didn't expect this!" Kizar shouted as he began to rapidly gain mass, face extending into a snout and developing a tail, the result was a nearly white Sandwing with orange Seawing webbing "well… this honestly looked cooler in my head, but beggars can't be choosers"
"WHO ARE YOU!?" Tsunami screamed; shock written all along her face.
"Kizar, Vanguard Mother fucker!" he shouted back, before jumping off the cliff face before him, it was at that convenient moment he realized he had no idea how to fly.
"OH, SHIIIIIIIT" he screamed, effectively rolling down a cliff, it was 10 minutes later when he was picked up and brought in for medical treatment.
