In the throne room, Isabel who was now temporarily crown princess just declared that it was up to team Avalor to save the kingdom.

Isabel told Varian to bring in the Maruvian portal, they have been working on the machine since Quita Moz told them about it, they are going to use it to send the four shades of awesome back to the spirit world.

"Are you sure, this will work?" asked Naomi.

"Absolutely" Varian said with confidence." Now we just need everyone to be clear of the portal or else we'll get sucked in too."

"But in order to start the portal we need to lure Esteban to it so he activate the machine to send the shades back to the spirit world" said Isabel.

"If we can beat the syndicate first." Mateo interjected the they are the ones guarding Esteban while the Shades are causing chaos.

Then in that case let's get beat them! said Gabe

All of a sudden , Qurin ran for the lever that activates the machine

"AHHHHH! FOR ESTEBAN!"

Before he could even start, a electric shock on his helmet stunned him to the ground laying there unconsciously. Everyone was shocked to see this happen.

Varian ran to his father as fast as he could."Dad dad it's okay you're going to be okay, I promise."

"What happened?" Gabe asked as he knelt down to Varian's level.

"I thought about what you guys said about Esteban controlling my dad since he was a part of the syndicate, so I took...precautions." Varian said brokenheartedly. "I added a stunning mechanism to his helmet."

"Score one for team awesome!" Gabe said cheerfully. "Yeah, team awesome." Varian softly chuckled but there was no effort, he was still sad and depressed as he sat there holding on to his unconscious father.

Mateo bopped Gabe on the head with his tambourita giving him a stern look while shaking his head. Naomi was giving the same look while giving a cut throat hand signal.

Gabe got the message and toned down a bit. "Let get him someplace more comfortable huh?"

"I'll put him in a containment spell just in case he wakes up, and I'll put him in my workshop to be safe."

As Mateo cast the spell and moved Quirin, Varian sadly stood there while he watched his father being moved away to Mateo's workshop.

Isabel ran over to Varian to give him comfort. "I'm sorry Varian, I know this was hard for you to do."

"I know" Varian said depressingly. " I just...have to do whatever it takes to save the kingdom."

Isabel's heart broke for her friend, she knew how much Varian loved his dad, and that meant so much to him, just as her family means so much to her, especially her deceased mother and father.

Naomi put her hand on Varian's shoulder to give him assurance "Hey, your dad's going to be okay." Naomi said with a caring smile.

Varian managed to make a little smile because he knew he had caring friends by his side. Knowing that he got himself together and was ready to get back into action. "Let's go save the kingdom!
