Discovery

I woke up to the smell of Mother's cooking. 'Mmmhm, she's making ramen again' I told myself before eagerly getting of my bed to get a shower first. The flowing mountain water washed my worries and sores, yes I was very tired and sore from yesterday's training. I sighed in relief as the cold water refresh me, though I know today's training have to be harder than yesterday, just like everyday I plan my exercises to constantly increase in difficulty.

But I shoved those thoughts aside as I dried myself and head towards the dining table. Mother was pampering my brother and changing the sheets of his bed, that little brad still can't hold his pee. I ran and hugged her, "Goodmorning Mother. Changing Hashibuya's bed like usual? Is there anything I can help?" my solemn yet childish voice never fails to surprise her like always.

"Goodmorning too Kato, I didn't hear you coming! You sneaky child, you'll be a good ninja one day, I know it!" she said, hiding her shock behind a smile. "Yes, well your brother keeps soiling the sheets. And we ran out of diapers for him, can you run to the store to buy more? Take my wallet here, and make sure to buy extra for our supply. But please have your breakfast first, I know you woke up at this our because of the fragrance" she told me, with a wink. Damn that woman and her delicious foods.

"Okay Mother, then I'll go eat first. Thank you" I bowed politely, pretending to imitate Sister when she's interacting with Father as a Shinobi of higher rank. "Oh you little tease, just go" she stifled a laugh and proceed with her chores.

I head to the table and pour myself some green tea and a bowl of ramen. She made sure it was vegetarian because I kept faking allergy to meat, after all I can't just start eating them after living as a vegan for my entire 24 years life. 'Oooff, nothing's better than a bowl of hot ramen' I thought to myself, enjoying the breakfast to it's fullest.

After that I head out to the general store after grabbing my own wallet. I was going to buy some more books about Shinobi and Chakra stuff, it's due time I learn how to make a henge and clone since Father, despite all his teaching, doesn't let me attend the ninja school yet.

"Even if you're a prodigy, you should enjoy your childhood first. You have plenty of years to grow before you're the same age of the other kids who join the Academy" I recall him saying something like that. Overprotective bugger, that one. I guess he still suffer from grief when he lost his brother during their Genin years. Well, if he does, he never wanted to talk about it.

For now I'll just play along and be the bigger man I am (though I'm not bigger nor a man), I understand my family has their own ways of looking out for me. And it's not like I'm impatient to start training, well I am obsessive to a degree, but enjoying the couple of years left I have as a child can't be harmful. Can it?

Half an hour pass and he arrived at the Store. The family store helper is already familiar with my face, she smiled and approach me "Hello there, little friend. What can I get you today?" she asked me politely. Suddenly I found myself staring at her a bit too long, she couldn't be older than 12. She looks really cute and huggable, 'Ugh I hate this childish body and it's urge to hug anyone cute. Stop it!' I cursed inside.

The girl was confused and asked me if everything is alright, I told her (sheepishly) that I want to purchase some books about chakra exercise and Shinobi history, and a lot of diapers. Her response was a stifled giggle and she teased me if the Diaper was for me, and the books for my brother… Because I don't have to be shy, her little sister still wet her bed while she's about the same age with me.

"N-no, not what I mean. The books was for me, I like to read. The diapers for my infant brother, don't get any wrong idea!" I scolded her with a little more vigor than necessary, but she probably find it cute because her response was an episode of laughter. I sighed, 'Never realized being a child was this difficult'

I told her to just get the things I asked for or I'll find another store, with all my anger I probably look like a cute plushy toy throwing a tantrum. She stifled another laughter before telling me to wait. The girl came back five minutes later and handed me the items I requested. I paid the bills and throw away the receipt, because I don't want Mother to see how much I 'wasted' my allowance for books instead of buying sweets like other normal kids does.

Anyway I'm too irked to stay there any longer and see her adorable, teasing smile. And so I make my departure after giving her a well-deserved mock my with tongue-out.

Saori blitz through the forest before she stop at a nearby village to catch her breath. She had been on the roads for two days, and her not insurmountable chakra reserve is waning dangerously low. 'I'll rest for a moment and stock on some supply on that general store. The boy's village isn't far from here, I'll take it on foot from here' she told her self, taking a breather and heading towards the store.

She enter and quickly order a supply of Shinobi rations, enough to last her for months. Just before she finish her transaction, she spots a curious-looking boy enter the store. She suspect that this boy was her mission, but the storekeeper girl engage the boy in a conversation. 'I'll just stick around and observe him for a while' she thought.

Said boy was sporting a home-made robe, had a slightly purple hair with a straight cut. His skin was light brown, and his eyes was brown, just like everybody else's. While he seems a bit older than the files, everything else matches, his hair, skin and social class. Everything except the eyes, it was stated that he'd have a very distinguishable eyes with a purple complexion, and a lively shimmer of light that glows slightly under the dark.

'Maybe it's his relative or some sort, I'd best gather more information' she thought, following the boys as he skim through a number of books before stopping at a book about chakra control exercise.

'This boy, he means to learn about chakra control and it's training. A book that's made for higher-Genin nonetheless.. M-maybe he's the one I should bring to the village' Saori told herself. Before she have the opportunity to approach him, the store keeper brought the items he requested, and after some childish banter he left the store, possibly to return home.

She followed him for some time until they are well outside of the previous village's border.
Saori jumps in front of the boy, planning to strike a conversation while they two are alone.
But she didn't expect the boy to rush at her with a punch immediately after she land, his strike strong enough to send her whirling into a nearby tree.

I was constantly on edge, my paranoia gets the better of me when I realized that the small woman from the store had stalked me from the roof and trees! Bloody Ninja's just can't spy like a normal person..

I'm not sure what her intention are, I didn't feel even a hint of Killing Intent despite my slightly heightened senses.
It wasn't even a chore to detect her, she let her chakra flows and it was powerful. She's at least a Jonin class in comparison with my Father who was a Chunin.

'Maybe she's an acquaintance with Father, a fellow Konoha Shinobi. But what does she want, stalking me like that? If she's indeed friendly she wouldn't need to hide. Maybe she doesn't want to be seen interacting with me, I'll just play along and lead her away from home

Imagine my surprise, being all tense and on edge, when the girl suddenly Shunshin in front of me.
I immediately access my cultivated chakra, my eyes glows a faint purple, and launch at her in a burst of speed.
I manage to land a punch in her stomach, and launch her crashing into the trees.

"Who are you and what do you want?!" I shout while dropping to my taijutsu stance.
My eyes must have been glowing more than before because I can see a very faint aura of chakra cloaking my fists.

I must have knock her out because she was still and dazzled.
Not wanting to take any risk, I conjure what little Earth Jutsu I learned and slowly create a formation of earth that binds her limbs and tied her to the ground. I quickly disarm her from her sheathed blade, weapons pouch and anything else I deem a theat.

While doing that, I can't help to notice that this girl was very young. Like, 16 years young!
And she already had a chakra signature way above my Father. I can't imagine if I didn't land that lucky punch, and got into a struggle with her.

She's clad in a grey silk robe, accented with faded-maroon belts and sash. She's.. dare I say it.. dangerously beautiful.
Her hair's a smooth strand of night, and her skin might make me salivate if I already reached puberty.

'No-nono! Keep your lewd locked up and throw away the keys Kato! She's just a child after all, you might be 5 years old but you used to be 24. Enough with the oogies' I scold myself, focusing on the chore of releasing her weapons.

The blade she carry was slightly curved and about 1 feet long on the hilt, and 3 ½ feet long on the blades.
I try to unsheathe it but it wouldn't come off, meh, it's not like I'll be any good with a blade after all.

I held my breath when she stirred and regain consciousness. Her expression was of shock and incogitable.
I mean who would've guessed to be sucker punched and tied up by a 5 year old boy who had no formal training (she doesn't have to know the last part).

"You did this? Y-you knocked me out, kid?" she asked, her voice conveys her denial of the implausible.
"I did that, and more" I nod towards the pile of weapons that I've disarm.

"T-that's, uh-uhm impressive. I-I'm sorry for scaring you like that though, I just wanted to talk where there's no one else around" she apologized.

"First, state your name and rank. Second, tell me what you want with me. Third, if you just wanted to talk then approach me like a normal person. Jesus, I'm just five!" I scold her, slipping into habit of cursing like I used to back on Earth.

"W-wait, you're him! Jesus! You know Jesus! You're from earth!" she exclaimed, gaining a sudden rush of relief.
"T-the fuck you mean woman! YOU know Jesus?! A-are you from earth too!" i retort, half part wanting to disbelief how strange this is, the other half wanting to believe I found some one from Earth.

"Y-yeah, that's r-right. Well, I was assign to recruit you and bring you back. As for who I am, my name is Saori. Tokubetsu Jonin of Yamigakure. My intention is to recruit you, a reincarnate, just like us. And have you live under the protection of our village" she explained.

"THERE'S AN ENTIRE VILLAGE OF PEOPLE LIKE ME?! WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST SAY SO!" I shouted in exasperation.
But, I paused and let my paranoia speak for a moment 'What if she's lying. What if she's not lying but this secret village is evil. How can I trust her?' I thought

She must have noticed the look of doubt plastered in my face, I really should work on masking my emotion like that.
She asked me "You don't believe me? That's understandable. Many incarnates who wasn't discovered as a baby or lived until they're older usually had a hard time believing my story. But I mean you no harm, I promise" emphasis on promise because just then she flared her lightning-chakra and the makeshift earth shackle crumbles into dust.

"I, no, we mean you no harm. If I wanted you harmed or your strange Kekkei Genkai I would've done so before, as I could've done right now, easily" she smiled, her words appear like a threat but I can sense sincerity in her.

Giving her the benefit of doubt, I'd thought I just roll with it so that she'll tell me more.
I might not be ready to leave my home just yet, but I need to know about this unknown village that's consisted of reincarnated people just like me, and well, like her too.

"A-alright, let's head back to that village. You can explain more over coffee. Wait, nevermind.. They don't have coffee here"
I internally facepalm over my blunder, and we make our way inside the village again. Settling into a small diner as she tells her story and village.
