"… and then she was like "We can fix this together." Said Amity while pacing around her room. (What a surprise!) "And it was super cute and… Are you even listening to me?" She asked me while, thankfully, stopped walking and instead decided to glare at me with her arms crossed.

"I stopped listening to you about two hours ago!" I answered while sitting up straight o her bed. "Honestly, Mittens. You've been talking, non-stop, for four hours! And you still won't admit that you have a crush on Luz."

And, to no one's surprise, her face gets all red and huffs in anger. But then her face changes to a smirk and, when Amity's smirking like that, I know that something bad (for me) is about to happen.

"I'll admit I have a crush on Luz, when you admit you have one on Willow."

I groaned and threw my head back. "This again? How many times do I have to tell you that I don't have a crush on Willow!?"

"Whatever you say, Val. Whatever you say." She says with a chuckle while sitting on the other end of the bed. "But… I think you're right."

"You think? You can actually think?! Well color me-oof!" And my statement got cut off short because Mittens, being the really mature person she is, decided to throw a pillow at me. At least it wasn't a fire ball this time! I call that: progress.

"Ugh, you're insufferable!" But there was no bite to her remark. She loves me too much to actually mean it.

"Love you too, Mittens." Another pillow at my face. "But enough about you and your crush on the human." And she has the audacity to throw a third pillow at me! "You need to talk to Willow."

She sighs and slumps down against the headrest (since I am now hogging all the pillows) and pouts. "I know, I know. It's just… how do I apologize for all that I did to her? Breaking off our friendship like that, the years of bullying and then some more of just standing on the sidelines."

"Well I still don't know what happened, but I guess that apologizing for being a total bitch would do the trick." I was half she'd throw a fire ball at me (since she ran out of pillows), but instead she sighed again and slid further down the headrest.

"I… I guess you're right. I'll do that tomorrow morning at school, right before classes." Then she sat up straight and looked at me with pleading eyes. "Come with me? Please?"

I try to cover my eyes to shield them from the full force of Mitten's pleading eyes. But it's useless. I already saw them and can feel my resolve crumbling.

"Fine! Fine! I'll go! Now, will you stop using those against me?"

I hear Amity giggle (the audacity of this bitch!) and then uncover my eyes. "They always work."

"And you sure as hell love to abuse their power." She simply sticks out her tongue at me and I do the same. So mature. "Well since I'll be waking up early because someone is a coward, so I'mma go now." I said while standing up and letting the mass of pillows fall to the floor.

"Can you at least give me back my pillows?" She asked, trying to use her secret weapon for the second time today.

Luckily for me, I was prepared for her assault and threw one of the pillows to her face, then another, and then the last one. "There. See ya tomorrow, bitch."

And with a strange feeling of dread, I left the Blight Manor.

Why am I doing this again? Why did I agree to wake up so fucking early? Oh right… I'm supposed to be a good friend.

That was my inner turmoil as I made my way towards Hexside at an hour that I'm not used to arrive. After whipping my eyes from a pretty long yawn that got my eyes a bit watery, I spotted someone walking from the storehouse towards the greenhouse while carrying a bag of soil.

Now this fact alone could have been obvious enough that it was someone from the Plant Coven, meaning it could have been anyone I knew. Hell, it could even be Amelia for all I know. But as I got closer and closer to the school, that feeling of dread that I felt when I left Blight Manor yesterday returned and began to grow as I began to make out details of the student.

The witch was wearing only the lower half of the school uniform (probably left the shirt and cowl at the greenhouse so it wouldn't get dirty,) and on top she was wearing a white tank top that left her well defined arms exposed. That sight alone was enough to make me swallow hard, but it wasn't until my eyes went a bit higher that I knew I was screwed. Wearing her blue hair in a small ponytail (probably so it wouldn't get dirty,) and with a smile on her face, Willow carried that bag of soil like it was nothing.

"Oh no, oh no, oh no" To say that my face was blushing would be an understatement. "She's hot! Who gave her permission to be this buff? And how the fuck I didn't notice it?!Not only is she cute, smart and funny, now I find out that she's buff and could probably bench-press me and- Oh fuck she's coming this way!"

Sometime while I had my not-so-small gay panic inside my head, Willow spotted me, dropped the bag of soil she was carrying, and began to jog towards me. Now, to be able to be a functioning person in the face of my new crush, I began to repeat on the inside of my head "Don't freak out" like a mantra and hoped that my face wasn't as red as it felt.

"Morning, Val!" Willow said to me once she was close enough. Fortunately, or not, she got to where I was before I could answer her greeting. Once in front of me she wiped a bit of sweat from her forehead, which allowed me to watch how her well defined arms moved, the muscle beneath them shifting. "Those are some strong arms… that belong to a strong girl who could pin me against a wall and she's talking to you so pay attention!" "…here so early? You usually arrive right on time."

"W-Well turns out that Mittens needed my moral support for something." Which involves you, so I was going to find out about you being buff one way or another. "And so here I am and… no sign of Amity."

"Let me guess, she used the infamous "Amity pout"?"

"Yeap." It took me a second to fully process her question. "Wait… you're telling me that she has been using that ever since back then?!" I only got a nod as an answer. "No wonder it's so effective! She's been perfecting that technique since she was small."

"Why do I get the feeling that you two are talking shit about me?" Speak of the devil and she shall appear.

"Took you long enough, Mittens." I said while turning around with a smirk on my face and my hands on my hips. "I was starting to think that you had chickened out."

Amity scoffed and crossed her arms. "Me? Never."

"Umm… what are you two talking about?" Willow, Titan bless her and her cuteness, asked with a small tilt of her head. "Want me to leave you two alone?"

"No, no it's fine." I said while dismissing her comment with a wave of my hand. "In fact, it's me who should be giving you two some privacy. Because, you see, Mittens here has something to talk to you about." As I said that, I placed an arm around Amity and pulled her to a half hug. "Now if you excuse me." I then let go of Amity and walk towards Hexside, but not before turning to look at them. "Amity, Willow. I'll be seeing you two later." And, in an act of boldness, I threw a seductive wink at Willow (Emira would be so proud of me) before turning around, and mentally prepared myself for the not-so-fun day of school I was going to have.

So it turns out that I was right. My day at school sucked, and not because it was a bad day per se (we don't talk about my gay panic from that morning, thank you very much.) What made it suck so much was that I couldn't seem to control myself whenever Willow was close to me which, to my misfortune, ended up being most of the day.

Thankfully I didn't do too stupid, but still managed to make an ass of myself by making a small mess during lunch. Aside from that, nothing else happened.

Then it was Grubgy practice and Boscha, who's still mad at me, made the practice ten times harder (for me and only me) than it usually is. So when I finally got home, and Byron received me with the news that "Young Miss Blight" was waiting for me in my room, I walked there with the determination of someone who was about to commit murder. Once I got to the door of my room, I threw it open and found Amity siting on my bed with the biggest shit eating grin I've ever seen in her face.

"You little shit!" I yelled at her after closing my door with a slam. "You knew about Willow being buff, didn't you?"

"I have no idea what you're talking about." And the bitch has the guts to feign ignorance! "But not that you mention it… I think I remember seeing her a few mornings ago carrying a few bags of soil just like this morning." And she smirked again.

"You set me up… it was a fucking trap!" By now I was furious not really with Amity. "Did you at least talk to her?"

"Yes, I did." And now she got a bit serious, which made me calm down from my murderous rage. "After we had a proper conversation and I apologized, she accepted them and forgave me. But she made it clear that there were some things we still needed to work out before she could fully forgive me."

I sat beside her on the bed and placed a comforting hand on her knee. "I'm sure everything will turn out alright." I gave her a small smile and then patted her knee. "Now, can I please know what happened between you two? I've been dying to know!"

She chuckles and shakes her head. "You and your gossip." She then takes a deep breath and lets it out. "It happened when I turned five. My parents made this huge birthday for me and invited a lot of people, but Willow wasn't invited, but since she was my best friend, I snuck her into the party. When my parents found out that she was there they pulled me aside and threatened to make it impossible for Willow to get into Hexside if I didn't cut ties with her."

"And so you told her you two couldn't be friends anymore. You did it for her own good… even if she hated you for it, you did what you thought was the right thing to do."

"After that… well you know the rest of the story. Our parents forced us to be "friends", but you actually put up the effort to be one, unlike Boscha who was a total bitch and the others who followed her example because they were scared of her."

"Well what can I say? Other than I'm amazing that way." Amity chuckled and gently shoved me aside. "But all jokes aside, your parents suck."

"Yeah… they do. But enough about my depressing backstory with Willow, and let's talk more about your massive crush on her."

"Only if you're willing to admit that you've got one on Luz."

And, just as expected, Amity blushed hard and, to my surprise, didn't do anything to me. Instead she groaned and covered her face with her hands. "I've got it bad, Val. So, so bad."

"Ha! And she finally admits it!" I say while throwing my arms up in victory and then fall back to lay on my bed. "And now I have one big question for you, my dear friend: Are you going to ask her to Grom?"
