Balto's p.o.v

Jenna's constant heavy breathing and panting awakens me. She walks in circles around me. She keeps on licking her private area. Drops of blood trickle down her legs. I put my

The vet swings by the house at one point in which increases my fear and anxiety even more. I wear my heart on my sleeve in which easily detectable for my teenage

daughter Aleu who has returned home. I am about to question Aleu about her whereabouts when Rosy and the vet tells us that Jenna lost the puppy. My heart

breaks over the realization that we were expecting a male puppy named Sable.
