Chapter 9:

A/N: In case it wasn't clear before, only my ideas are my own! Everything else belongs to J.K Rowling. Also, I noticed I had some grammar mistakes in the last chapter, if someone could let me know if they're in this one, that would be great.

Ivy interrupted Luna, "No, just no." Luna giggled.

Joseph cleared his throat, "In case it's not clear. For the bond to finalize, you have to have sex."

"In case it's not clear. The main reason Joseph wanted to tag along is that Neville's his mate." Evelyn smirked evilly at Joseph, who, in turn, whacked her on the back of the head and stuck his tongue out.

"Neville Longbottom?" Hannah clarified. "From Gryffindor?" Joseph nodded. "What house are you in?" She asked.

"Third year Ravenclaw." He shrugged.

"And you want to date a first-year Gryffindor? I thought Ravenclaw's were smart." Evelyn said in mock surprise.

"Oh, by the way, I know who Sirius's mate is," Joseph called out. Evelyn covered his mouth with her hand.

"No spoilers," She teased. "Speaking of Sirius, when is his trial?"

"Tomorrow," Luna told her. "The Headmaster is allowing those who want to go to watch the trial." She explained.

"Ahh." Evelyn nodded.

~OoOoO~

"Showtime!" Hannah murmured as everyone got themselves out of bed. "Hey, Han and Sue, wanna sit at the Gryffindor table with us?" Han and Sue looked at each other and nodded. "Sweet." Hannah smiled.

"I know that usually, we don't do announcements during breakfast, but classes are canceled." A huge round of cheering followed that announcement. "Now, we will wait for everyone to be seated so I don't have to repeat myself." Albus Dumbledore said.

Soon, his target walked into the hall with his house year-mates. Harry walked over to the Ravenclaw table and Samuel walked over to the Slytherin table. Samuel took the undercover Auror with him to the Gryffindor table and Harry took the Auror's brother to the Gryffindor table. "Can we sit with you, Neville?" Harry asked.

Neville nodded. Hannah arranged them so that Joseph was sitting next to Neville and Ron was on the other side of Neville. She put Evelyn across from her brother. And the rest made a protective circle around the four. Hannah could already see the Weasley twins give Ron ugly looks.

As soon as Albus spotted the last student walk into the Great Hall, he began. "The trial for Sirius Black will be beginning at 11:00 in a few hours. Classes have been canceled and-" He was cut off by the cheering that followed. "And those who want to go to the trial, meet me at the Great Hall entrance in two and a half hours." The cheering that followed… was very loud.

~oOoOo~

Albus looked at the group assembled in front of the Great Hall. All of the Hufflepuff firsties, Neville Longbottom, Evelyn and Joseph Valentine, Percy Weasley, and a couple of Ravenclaws and Slytherins. "This portkey will take us to the Ministry Atrium, then we will all stick together as we go to the trial. If you wander off, there will be consequences." He told them. Ivy raised her hand, "Yes Ms. Graves?"

"What about witnesses?" Ivy asked.

Albus nodded, "Very good question, Ms. Graves. The witnesses are the following: Percy Weasley, Hannah Ahava, Draco Malfoy, Ron Weasley, and Eliza Raines. Also, Professors Flitwick and MgGonagall." He took a look at the group in front of them. "The rest of you will be sitting with them to provide support. But, you will not be witnesses. Everyone understood? Good, now everyone, touch the portkey."

They appeared in the Ministry Atrium. "This way, children." Albus led the children over to the lifts and they piled in. "So children, we are going to Level Ten." The lift moved to the right and shot up like a bolt. All the children, except for Percy and Auror Valentine, started screaming before it slowed to a stop.

"Ministry level ten." An ethereal voice said. The group stumbled off of the lift, clutching bruises.

"This way," Albus said, walking up a staircase to the left. Soon, they arrived at the Courtroom.

"Names and reasons for coming here?" The same ethereal voice said.

"Say your names and why you are here." Albus whispered, "Albus Dumbledore, Chief Warlock of the Wizangamot." He spoke. A badge appeared in a slot, saying 'Albus Dumbledore, Chief Warlock.'

Hannah Abbott went next, "Hannah Abbott, Witness Support." She said bravely. She put on the badge that came out.

"Hannah Ahava, Witness."

"Samuel Di Angelo, Witness Support."

"Harry Potter, Witness Support."

"Ron Weasley, Witness."

"Percy Weasley, Witness."

"Ivy Graves, Witness Support."

"Luna Lovegood, Witness Support."

"Draco Malfoy, Witness."

"Eliza Raines, Witness."

"Cho Chang, Witness Support."

"Susan Bones, Witness Support."

"Daphne Greengrass, Witness Support."

And the list went on.

When they were finally done, Albus led them into the Courtroom. He directed them to sit at a nearby table, Flitwick and MgGongall already sitting at it, that was marked "WITNESS" and they crowded around it. An hour later, everyone had arrived. "First order of business?" Albus barked out, banging his gravel.

Amelia Bones stood up, her monocle glinting on her eye, "The Department of Magical Law Enforcement has a problem. An innocent man has been sent to Azkaban under false charges for twelve years." A huge yell went up. Amelia had to shout to be heard, "Sirius Black is innocent!" People started yelling louder.

"Sirius Black is guilty!" Lucius Malfoy yelled, his forehead slicked with sweat. He had been the one to bribe Barty Crouch into sending Black to Azkaban.

Albus banged his gravel, "Shut up!" Everyone looked at him, now silent. "Anyone who speaks will be BANNED from this trial!" A look to Amelia and she flooded the chamber with Aurors. A few members thought about shouting but they didn't want to be banned, so they didn't.

"Bring in the victim!" Amelia ordered. Evelyn Valentine and a pink-haired Auror pulled him in, in chains of course. They seated him at one of the tables facing Albus, to the right of the witnesses. Sirius looked perfectly at ease. "Bring in… Peter Pettigrew!" A wave of noise went up. The Aurors went about, stunning about a third of the Wizangamot and dragging them out. Including, Lucius Malfoy and his band of cronies, a couple of fence-sitters, and one or two other bigots.

"Proceeding. Bring in Peter Pettigrew." Albus announced. This time, at least six Aurors had the rat-like man. They forced him in a chair to the left of Sirius's table and chains wrapped around him.

"Harry?" Sirius choked out. Harry waved a hand at him. Sirius felt like Harry already knew who was innocent.

"Silence," Albus reluctantly reprimanded Sirius. "Proceed with the investigation, Head of DMLE, Amelia Bones.

She stood up, "We all thought that Sirius Black was guilty. Guilty of killing James and Lily and twelve non-magic users and, of course, Peter Pettigrew. But last night, I got a floo-call from Minerva McGonagall saying she and some Hufflepuff first-year students had caught Peter Pettigrew. One of the first-year students raised an interesting point. If Peter was alive that meant that Sirius Black didn't commit some of the crimes he was illegally jailed for, without a trial! Minerva McGonagall, please describe that night." She finished.

Professor McGonagall stood up, "It was a night like usual, I was grading some papers when I heard a knock at the door. To my surprise, it was four Hufflepuff first-year students. They had Percy Weasley's rat. He was acting strange, one of the girls suggested he might be an animagus. I had to test it, of course. I used the animgus reveal spell and it said the rat was an animagus. I contacted Filius Flitwick and we both cast the turn-back spell. It was Peter Pettigrew. He immediately turned his wand on the children. As he turned, the Dark Mark was clearly visible. We stunned him and tied him up in self-tightening ropes and contacted the ministry." Minerva McGonagall explained.

"Sirius Black. Do you plead innocent or guilty to twelve counts of non-magical murder, two magical murders, and breaking that Statue of Secrecy?" Albus Dumbledore asked.

"I plead innocent to all." Sirius rasped out.

"Do you consent to use Veritaserum?" Albus asked. Sirius nodded with no hesitation. "Do you consent to questions?" Sirius nodded again. Amelia administered the Veritaserum. The Attorney for Sirius Black questioned him.

"What is your name?"

"Sirius Black."

"When were you born?"

"November third, 1959."

"Do you have a Dark Mark?"

"No."

"Are you a Death Eater?"

"No."

"Did you sell James and Lily Potter out to Voldemort?"

"No."

"Were you not the Secret Keeper?"

"Peter and I switched."

"What happened after you hunted down Peter Pettigrew?"

"I found Peter on the street, he yelled out that I had killed James and Lily, and then he exploded the street and went into the sewers."

"Why didn't you take care of Harry?"

"I arrived at the broken down house and found Hagrid cradling. He said that he was going to help Harry and wouldn't give him up. I gave him my motorcycle so they would reach whatever destination safely."

How did you know that Hagrid wasn't under Polyjiuce?"

"Hagrid is half-giant."

"Sirius has answered all the questions he needs to."

"Peter Pettigrew. Do you plead guilty or innocent to twelve counts of non-magical murder, two magical murders, and breaking that Statue of Secrecy? Do you consent to Veritaserum? Do you consent to questions?" Albus asked.

Peter shook his head violently, "I plead guilty! But I will not take Veritaserum. I know what I did was wrong, but I wish not for people to know the horrors I have suffered. All that I wish you know is that I made a mistake and I made the price." He squeaked.

"Sirius Black, we issue you an apology and 20,000 Galleons. Peter Pettigrew, you are sentenced to fifty years in Azkaban." Albus declared the final result.

When Sirius was freed, Harry was immediately moving. "Padfoot?" Harry asked, stopping in front of his godfather.

"Hey, you must be Harry. I'm your godfather. And I was known as Padfoot." Sirius rasped out with a wry grin.

Harry tackled him in a hug, "I knew you were real." He melted into the arms of the man he had come to know as a father. Sirius immediately hugged him back. Harry pulled back eventually. "Padfoot, this is my boyfriend."

Sirius studied the boy holding his godson's hand. Sirius could tell that Harry was desperate for him to answer, "Nice to meet you," Sirius sent a questioning look at Harry.

"Samuel. Samuel Di Angelo." Harry quickly answered.

"Nice to meet you, Samuel. You hurt my godson and I'll rip you in half. Same rules if you were girl, Samuel, keep yourself out of my innocent godson's bedroom." Sirius snickered at the blush Harry was sporting.

"Sir, I would never hurt Harry," Samuel answered. "Siriusly though, I doubt you could keep me out of his bedroom," Samuel said smugly before quickly hiding behind Harry.

Sirius let out a burst of booming laughter, "I can already tell that you are perfect for Harry. Treat him well or else."

"Sirius, I want you to meet someone," Harry said before disappearing into the crowd. He pulled out a beautiful girl, "This is Evelyn. She's single so take a hint." Sirius only heard 'Evelyn', his brain had already shut down in the face of this girl.

"I'm Evelyn Valentine." Evelyn stuck her hand to shake. Sirius decided to go the romantic way and kissed the back of her head instead.

"It's nice to meet you, you're very lovely." Sirius stammered.

Evelyn smiled, "Do you want to meet at Hogsmeade? I work undercover at Hogwarts, so…" She was cut off by Sirius.

"I love to." He practically blushed. Harry burst out laughing and introduced the rest of the group.

~OoOoO~

"Draco. I need to talk to you." Eliza said bluntly later that night, after dinner. "Harry come too."

"Okay?" Draco said. Eliza drug them into an alcove.

She began to talk, "I know where you came from."

Harry looked at her, "You mean the Dursleys?"

"No. I mean a different dimension." Harry tried to cut off Eliza, but she was having none of it. "I know Samuel's an angel. I know you come from the future of a different dimension. And I know I'm not supposed to exist. But you aren't the only one to come back. I did it too. But I did it with the specific instructions of the Devils and Gods. Officially sent back, unlike you guys. I had a worse childhood than both of you." Harry interrupted Eliza with a snort. She glared at him and continued. "I was sexually assaulted when I was little, my father killed my mom, and he regularly beats me. I slept outside in the elements except for when that man invited his friends over. I ate about once a week, and then it was usually a piece of bread. And I had to deal with the people my father had over and I had to do all the chores. You never got beat by your Uncle and Aunt or attacked and you slept under a roof. You got daily food. You cannot compare to my life. I died when I was eleven. My father found out I was a witch. He beat me to death." Eliza finished.

"I'm sorry, Eliza." Draco whispered with wide eyes. She shrugged.

"Anyway, I need to tell you some stuff. I'm a demon, first off. Like, Ivy Graves." She concentrated and changed slightly. Her wavy red hair lengthened and started moving like flames, her violet eyes started glowing, and her ears finished their journey to being completely pointed. Two small violet horns grew out of her head and two violet phoenix wings grew out of her back. She bowed, smiling, "Raines, the fire demon, at your service." She said with an American accent.

"Also your little friends, Rose and Demetrios. Well, the Boss is pissed. Demetrios's boss was demoted for telling them to do that. They are in trouble, first for interfering in mortal affairs, and secondly for sending people back." She finished. "They probably got demoted, or worse, sent down to Earth to make sure you do this correctly." She said with a wince.

"Oh, you think?" A new voice snapped. A tall lady leaned against the wall. With pointed and delicate features, her green even more red-tinted than usual, and her dark-red hair with so bloodred, it practically dripped off.

"Roselie." Eliza greeted with a laugh.

"Listen here, my least favorite niece, we got DEMOTED. Also, don't call me that or I'll tell your mom." Rose smirked elegantly before disappearing with a flash of heat.

~OoOoO~

"Okay, so let me get this right. You are a demon." Ivy pointed at Eliza and the girl in question nodded. "And your aunt is Rose. And you come back from a 'different dimension' too?" Eliza nodded, and Ivy sprung at her. Ivy wrapped Eliza in a hug, "That makes you my cousin! My mom, Stella, is Rose's sister. And your mom, Briar, is also their sister." Ivy finished excitedly.
