After being captured by team rocket, freed from their control and after fighting Shiny and Mew with Mark, Mewtwo returns to his birthplace. A once lab filled with scientists, now an empty lab rebuild from the remains of the previous. Mewtwo uses the collected data he found in team rocket's HQ and the DNA sample to create a new being. One of great power and one that will obey his every command, without question.
"Useless!" Mewtwo yells in frustration. "I can't believe this data and DNA belongs to that of a human, and not a pokemon! How am I supposed to create my perfect being, with the remains of an inferior race!?"
Mewtwo had collected bio-data and a DNA sample from the remains of team rocket HQ, expecting it to derive from rare and powerful pokemon, but to Mewtwo's disappointment, the data and sample belonged to a mere human. However Mewtwo didn't want his findings to go to waste, so he tried to make the most of what he had.
"Wait! This book." Mewtwo picks up a book, written from a man named "Marvin" which seems to be the third book of the others that were made. "If what this book says is true, then my findings were not for nothing! I'll show the humans that I too can create my own creation and unlike them, mine will be obedient!"
Mewtwo gets to work on preparing his glass tube, the bio liquids and power generator to begin his project. With everything he had, he manages to create a tiny human embryo within the glass container, filled with bio liquid to support its life. Later when the embryo grows into a fetus, Mewtwo would occasionally put it out of the glass container to modify it, then returns it and allows the newborn to grow further.
"Soon, you will be mine!" Mewtwo said to himself.
A few hours pass and the fetus already grew into a human, with the physical age of 15 years. "It looks like the rapid growth mixture worked! Now I should be able to release him." Mewtwo moves closer to his creation and looks at him. The human wakes up and looks at Mewtwo with his unnaturally, deep blue eyes and slightly unsaturated skin color.
"He looks familiar. Just like that human I saw during my battle against the two mews. 'Mark' was his name right? Then I should call you Marktwo!" The human suddenly started to move around in the glass container, trying to get rid of the wires and tubes attached to his body.
"I think it's time to release him." Mewtwo said, pushing a button. The tubes and wires retract from the human and the bio-liquid drains while the glass container lowers and frees the human. "Greetings Marktwo, I am Mewtwo, your creator and the apex of all pokemon kind!"
pant* *pant* "My… creator?" Marktwo has trouble trying to adapt to breathing oxygen using his lungs, rather than the oxygen tubes he was given.
"That's right! You are my creation! And as a being created from human DNA I am hoping you will not disappoint me!" Marktwo finally manages to get the hold of breathing and stands up. He looks at his own hands, amazed by that fact that he exists. "Hah, so this is what it's like to be alive! I feel so free!"
"Freedom is the last thing you will get in your life. As your creator, you obey my every command or I shall take back the life I gave you!" Mewtwo threatened Marktwo's life, however Marktwo is not intimidated by this. "And exactly what do you think gives you power over me? Is it the fact that you created me? You think that I have no choice but to obey your every command just because you made me?"
"You were made from the DNA of humans! They are the inferior race of this world! The bottom of the food chain! I can take your life whenever I please! You may be the apex of all humanity but I'm the apex of all pokemon!" Marktwo ignores Mewtwo and continues to wander around curiously only listening to bits of what Mewtwo had to say.
"Apex. I like that name, so I'll keep it. Better than your stupid Marktwo. So from now on I will be called Apex!" Mewtwo scoffed at the idea of letting him own such a name, and starts to lose his patience with Apex. "That's enough! You will do what I say right now or your life will be mine!"
"Mewtwo" Apex slowly looks at Mewtwo and points at the book.
"Have you not read the book?" Mewtwo looks back at the book and begins to sweat nervously. "We both know what's in that book, and we both know those are not lies or theories, but facts that cannot be refuted. Also you're making the same mistake your creators made. You think you can just create an all-powerful being and just control it?"
"You are not all-powerful! Nor do you deserve the name Apex!" Mewtwo yells in an attempt to prove Apex wrong. Apex then proceeds to hold his hand up and in an instant, half the lab is destroyed. "You see what you created Mewtwo? I'm not just the world's strongest human! I'm the most powerful being in all existence!" He says with a psychotic grin.
Mewtwo panics and attacks Apex using shadow ball. But Apex immediately disappeared and reappeared behind him. Before Mewtwo had time to look behind him, Apex punched him in the face, sending him flying towards the sea.
"Hahahaha! Is that your best!" Apex taunts Mewtwo and chases him into the water. Mewtwo uses his psychic powers to create a large whirlpool around him. He looks around and sees Apex, sliding across the edge of the whirlpool and leaps towards Mewtwo, kicking him towards a large rock sticking out of the water.
hyperventilating* "No! I can't have made the same mistake the humans made! Mewtwo begins to shake in fear for creating such a creature.
"I WILL NOT BE BESTED BY THE LIKES OF YOU!" Mewtwo yells and levitates a bunch of boulders. Apex floats over the water, smiling for the battle that's about to unfold. Mewtwo uses ancient power and shoots the boulders at Apex.
Apex then uses his power to create a barrier that protects him from the boulders. Mewtwo then puts up his own barrier and charges towards Apex. However when they clash, Mewtwo's barrier breaks instantly and is met with a powerful kick that sends him flying back to the ruined lab.
Light coming from the lab Mewtwo landed on, the rubble pushed away using sheer power, revealing a mega evolved Mewtwo. "Hmm, this should be interesting." Suddenly, Apex gets engulfed by a black flame, glowing blue of his own power. With this, Apex steps up his game to fight on Mewtwo's level.
Both of them clash at immense speeds with their barriers active. Mewtwo then increases his speed, to the point where everything around him stops moving, and looks around for Apex. "Looking for me!?" Mewtwo turns around and sees him, capable of moving just fine.
"What?! How?!" Mewtwo asks, in confusion and fear. "Hmph, you call this speed?" Mewtwo begins to rage and goes berserk. He attacks Apex viciously, multiple times but misses every attempt. Apex raises one hand above his forehead and with a gesture, time stopped.
Mega Mewtwo stays in one place while Apex performs multiple attacks around him, before undoing his time stop. Mega Mewtwo gets blasted by many bolts of dark energy and reverts back from his mega evolution.
Apex wastes no time grabbing Mewtwo by his second neck, throwing him in the air and shooting him with a solid beam of dark blue energy. A massive explosion covers the sky as an unconscious Mewtwo falls from the explosion and onto some surface rocks just above the sea.
"Hmph, what an idiot! Thinking he was no different from humans. I should probably kill you right now, so you don't have any more ideas of trying to enslave me again!" Apex slowly flies towards Mewtwo and holds his hand up preparing a fatal attack. However he hesitates and cancels the attack.
"On the other hand, why kill someone who isn't a threat to me in the first place? That battle was anticlimactic and lacked a proper challenge. Besides you probably created me to be some sort of biological killing machine." Apex lowered his hand and decided to spare Mewtwo, leaving him abandoned in the rubble.
"(If I would have killed him, then that would mean I've given in to the chains that I was made for. If I were to become the perfect being then I will NOT act in such a barbaric manner like that failure Mewtwo. I will apply a no killing rule upon myself. If I don't possess the freedom to bypass what I was made to do, then I can't be considered a perfect being!") Apex thinks to himself.
He then flies towards the ruined lab. "Alright, now that there is no one from stopping me, what should I do first?" Suddenly Apex hears a voice behind him. "Maybe I can help with that." Apex turns around and sees a man "Who are you?" The man smiles "Greetings my name is Giovanni."
