UNSC Spirit of Fire
26 November 2558

Bridge

Two human ships, according to the Polish saying, fell from the rain under the gutter. Against them stood a small welcoming fleet with the former Covenant Assault Aircraft Carrier now belonging to the Banished and the Cerberus fleet consisting of 2 cruisers and 8 frigates, 4 for each cruiser.

You could say that's quite a lot of firepower for destroying two ships, and both ships are currently a bit outdated for those using them. Spirit of Fire more so considering she hasn't been in dock for 27 years. The Upiorna Sprawiedliwość on the other hand is an older class of assault frigate of the Upiór type, though in this case she is a specially modified version for the Imperial family.

"I don't like the power ratio," Cutter said after studying the parameters of the Upiór-class frigates and updating the combat system to recognize Ceberus' ship classes correctly. Initially they were all considered frigates and corvettes given their size.

Shepard wasn't surprised, before they jumped using Sprawiedliwość in FTL he saw UNSC ships in Earth orbit and noticed they were larger than their Alliance counterparts. Well it's hardly surprising this humanity already has a few centuries of being in space more than his.

""Well welcome to the club" Shepard said to Cutter and then said more seriously, "What's our plan to break out of this trap?" Pluta walked over to the map and started showing a close up view of the enemy formation. Noticing this after a long moment Cutter asked "What is your plan?"

Pluta nodded to himself and replied "Classically Spartan." Cutter raised his eyebrows catching the hint. Shepard didn't understand and asked "What do you mean?" Surprisingly the one who answered was Jerome "He's going to board the enemy carrier by boarding and blow it up from the inside with a bomb."

Shepard on the other hand hung up for a moment "Now what does he want to do?" Jerome rolled his eyes behind his helmet and repeated his statement. Shepard nodded slightly and said a short " Uh-huh". The Doctor in turn giggled along with Pluta seeing Shepard's confusion. Shepard quickly shook his head and asked "How are you going to do that? It seems to me that this colossus has a lot of spot cannons for defense."

Pluta waved his hand in agreement "And you're right, this one is twice the size of the Spirit of Fire, the CAS has over 700 lasers exclusively for short-range combat, a huge number of aircraft on board numbering at least 300 machines, and over 40,000 warriors on board though the ship's crew is only 200 men."-Shepard looked at him.

Shepard looked at him in shock hearing all this then added "I guess he has even more dangerous stuff on board?" Pluta nodded "Yes but we're not talking about that, although a cannon capable of blowing up with one shot a ship that is the closest equivalent to a battleship in the UNSC Fleet is worth mentioning"

He then brought the CAS closer and next to it showed his frigate. "I intend to use the boarding pods on our deck. I intend to launch five Spartans onto the deck closest to the reactor and then use a nuke to blow it up from the inside thus weakening the thinking organic forces of the Reapers by a massive ship."

Jerome looked at him and asked "Now there are only 3 Spartans on board where are the others?" Pluta looked at him and replied "I am the fourth Spartan and Chief is 5, anticipating questions as to why he is not here, he had a feeling he would be more useful stoically replied "I understand sir. What next? "Pluta quickly changed the image "With the help of the Ewelina we will quickly fly to her frigate deck, as we do so the Ewelina will join the space battle and draw the attention of the Cerberus ships away from us thus covering the Spirit of Fire." Cutter nodded slightly at this.

"Our air wing will attack any Cerberus ship that breaks away from Ewelina's pursuit. The Spirit of Fire's job will be to not get caught and destroy the enemy, this ship is not suited for combat especially since we don't know what Banished did with their ship." said Cutter to Pluta who agreed with him.

"All right, what about me and my men, aren't they useful?" asked Shepard, Pluta quickly turned to him, "You'll stay here and advise Cutter on the characteristics of Cerberus ships Commander." Shepard nodded and then added, "I understand sir, but this plan is a little crazy." Pluta smiled at him, "Crazy? It was actions like this that allowed us to win the war against the Covenant, it would be more insane to hijack this ship like for example the Chief did after destroying Halo 04 with 6 people attention." This time everyone looked surprised even Jerome.

"I'm sorry sir, but what did Chief do?" Jerome asked. ""It would take a long time to tell you, but I'll just say that the Chief along with an ODST, a Marine, an ONI Officer, a Pilot and his AI captured a DDS-class aircraft carrier. It's a ship 500 meters larger than the one we're on now," replied Pluta with a look of recognition on his face. "All that's missing is an army soldier and we have a complete armed force." Spirit joked.

Shepard was the least surprised, he himself had done something similar against the Gatherers. The only thing he thought about was that if he could, he would take the Chief on a suicide mission. With him they would have done it with a finger in the nose. Suddenly he squinted "Can't we use the Doctor's TARDIS to get there?" asked Shepard looking at Pluta.

Pluta laughed and said "First of all, my way is more fun" then he got serious and added "And secondly, the TARDIS better remain a hidden ace up our sleeve for as long as possible" Shepard looked at the Doctor to see if he agreed. The Doctor nodded that he agreed with Pluta.

Anders suddenly as if something had startled her in her head she said. "Now the TARDIS?" Shepard nodded in agreement. Anders turned to the Doctor -You're Doctor Who? From that show? The Doctor smiled. "Yes, Miss Anders. I'm Doctor Who from the show. What season is it now?" Anders stopped and then said "We're in season 467, Doctor."

The Doctor nodded "Excellent, you can see he's still hanging in there. I can see you're very curious to see how it goes. But I'll say it on a more suitable occasion." Anders had a smile in her eyes like a little girl getting a lollipop. The doctor shook his head as soon as he saw this. Shepard nodded slightly at this as well as quietly said, "Actually, I myself am curious as to how this is possible."

Pluta just laughed and then added with a smile on his lips, "Well, ladies and gentlemen. Let's get this party started! " The doctor smiled slightly at that. The others looked at Pluta with astonishment. The one who broke the silence was surprisingly Jerome "Pluta is right, let's put this plan into action before our ship is scrapped."

Cutter was quick to respond "Captain Spirit, you heard everything, prepare the ship for battle." Spirit jumped slightly when Cutter turned to her. She quickly saluted him and immediately took command of the ship rushing everyone to work. Pluta on the other hand quickly using spartan gestures told Jerome to go with him and call the rest of the team.

Then they both quickly left the bridge. Shepard walked over to the holographic table with Cutter and said "What do you want to know sir?" Cutter looked at him, then at the monitor where the Polish Commander was and then said to them "Son, tell me how it's going with you." Both Commanders smiled and Shepard began

"So, Rear Admiral...

Enduring Conviction

Shipmaster Let 'Volir watched the holograms of the two human ships at his command post. He knew these were human ships from that Leng of Cerberus who came to them recently from another world. He didn't know the entire content of Leng's conversation with Atriox or their agreement but he knew one thing Atriox had accepted the offer and Cerberus had sent reinforcements to gain knowledge from the Ark and to destroy a certain Commander Shepard and his people from their universe.

Of course he didn't mind agreements with humans, he valued his crew's lives and his own more over the Covenant's faith and desire to destroy humanity and Atriox had shown more than once that he was a better employer than the Covenant and its separatists despite Volir's dislike of the Jiralhanae. But what this Cerberus offered Atriox to join them is unfortunately known only to him. The only thing he passed on was that Cerberus offered a suitable reward in exchange for Banished assistance.

Their first act of cooperation was to destroy a human ship that would come here through a wormhole. How they knew what ship it was and when was a mystery to Leta, but their information was confirmed in full. What they did not expect was a second ship the size of a human Frigate next to their target.

The Shipmaster had a gut feeling that this unknown frigate was more dangerous than it appeared and the Cerberus fleet commander's reaction to their appearance if he understood human reflexes correctly was a clear sign of distress and anger. So he ordered their fleet to line up in defensive formation around his carrier and wait to see what the enemy would do.

Suddenly both ships moved forward and he noticed that the Frigate had overtaken the larger ship as if she wanted to take the first hit herself to protect the old ship. Suspecting the worst, the Shipmaster ordered the preparation of plasma torpedoes and aimed them at the Frigate. He did not know what she was planning and did not want to find out.

When the two human ships were about one light-minute away, the Frigate opened fire on them, only to have her shell gut the port cruiser, tear apart one of her frigates, severely damage another and hit the front of the carrier, lowering the plasma shield level by 10%!

The entire crew on the bridge gasped at the sight. "What the hell and fuck was that!" Said the Cerberus fleet commander loudly who fortunately was stationed on the other cruiser. "After all, it's a whole fucking light minute away! A whole almost 18 million kilometers and they fucked up an entire cruiser in a minute!"

The Shipmaster on the other hand looked shocked at the projector and replayed the entire event on the recording. Barely seconds had passed between the shot and the hit and the cruiser was already gone and his ship had lost 10% of its shield in a single shot, all of it of course.

Because at the point of the hit it was already 50% of the shield. Volir seeing this quickly began to give orders. He told Atriox to move forward on the message and then without waiting for a reply he ordered at full power to move forward to reduce the distance. The damaged frigate on the other hand he ordered to stay and support the ground forces on Ark.

"This is going to be an interesting battle" said the Shipmaster to himself then ordered the remaining frigates on the left flank to get up and strike from above while the ones on the right did it from below.

ORP Upiorna Sprawiedliwość

Boarding Capsule Bay

A team of five Spartans gathered in front of the Abordage pod in the bay. After a quick explanation of what and how and the obvious greeting of the long-lost siblings by the Chief in Spartan style they began discussing the details of the abort.

"Our target will be the carrier's reactor, that's where we'll leave the package with the false counter" Said Pluta showing the internal plan of the carrier on the hologram.

"Sir, please explain what fake counter?" Asked Alice curiously. "A simple trick to give the false hope to Banished that they have the ability to disarm or get rid of the bomb in time. In reality, I will have the detonator and set it off the moment we jump into space." Opined Pluto.

Alice nodded that she understood. Douglas asked, "And with this capsule, where are we going to get in?" Here he answered the Chief, who had previously checked the strength of the capsule and asked the Polish soldiers. "He marked the place of the proposed landing with the help of a panel. "That way we'll be able to get to the reactor quickly without being too tied up in fighting with Banished on board."

Pluta in turn added "Yes I agree but..." He then moved the capsule further inward "... we'll get all the way in here, I'll adjust the impact settings to be stronger so we can get deeper inside." Jerome looked at him questioningly "Won't that be too dangerous sir? From what I can see the system considers it life threatening." Pluta turned and replied "For ordinary people who usually use it yes, but for us not so much."

Jerome nodded in agreement and then added "Well then who will take the package?" Pluta smiled "What do you mean who? Chief, he of all of us is lucky enough not to lose or damage it." Team Red smiled at that. While Chief showed no reaction to this, they would be focused on the map. "Then when we leave the gift we will move towards the Hangar and requisition the transport from our beloved Brutes who are abundant on this ship." The old Spartans nodded at this understanding the allusion.

"Well anything else?"

Said Pluta then seeing that no one wanted to add anything he raised his hand in the direction of the armory "If you want you can rearm before you leave, maybe something will interest you from the armory."

The Reds looked at each other then went to the armory out of curiosity. Pluta walked over to the Chief, he knew the Chief hadn't heard the last of it, as he was staring at the hologram. He then poked him shaking him out of his reverie. "Chief, are you ok?" He asked worriedly knowing what Chief was thinking about. The Chief looked at him and even though the Chief was wearing his helmet the whole time Bartek knew he was looking at him piercingly.

"Yes Sir." Pluta made a disbelieving face "Do you realize I can read minds?" The Chief frowned for a moment "Is this a joke sir?" Bartek shook his head "No, it's not a joke. I know you still can't deal with the fact that you didn't keep your promise to your friend or the repercussions of that." Chief squinted behind his visor at Pluta but said nothing.

After a long moment of silence Pluta replied "John, I'll give you some good advice..." he held up his right hand clasped in a gesture of rejection "and it's not in the cycle you have to accept it" he said then lowered it and added "talk frankly to Shepard, he's a good lad who knows how to keep his mouth shut and he himself has been in a similar situation to you a couple of times, you'll quickly find common ground" after which he squinted his eyes as if he had forgotten something.

After a moment he raised his hand up to the height of his chin and said, "Oh, I should forget." And with his eyes sewing on the Chief's visor he said "You are to inform me of any visions that will haunt you regardless of what is said in them and by whom. Is that clear Master Chief Petty Officer 117?" The Chief surprised by the tip swallowed his saliva and replied "Yes Sir."

Pluta smiled at this and patted his right shoulder with his hand "That's good boy." And then they both heard Commander Werner "Attention, Attention in 3 Minutes we will be there, I hope the team is already ready to abort Marshal." Pluta tapped the Chief lightly on the shoulder "You heard the Chief, gather your gear and pack up the Osa we are about to attack."

The Chief nodded and checking his weapons one last time went to the armory to grab thermal grenades in large numbers. He had a chance to use them in the Polish equivalent of War Games called simply Deep Virtual Reality Simulator/Głębokim Symulatorem Wirtualnej Rzeczywistości (GSWR). What surprised him was that he could fight in it with the Covenant and in the places where he fought!

A quick question to the operating technician explained that in their world he is the hero of a series of shooters called Halo and the Covenant's realistic behavior is a result of Pluta, who on the basis of his memories built an AI that effectively simulates the Covenant. This pretty much explained why many Polish soldiers and sailors recognized him.

When he entered the armory he saw that the red team took a few new toys. And so Jerome, next to his already worn-out shotgun, took a Polish experimental SP-56 plasma shotgun, caressingly called Wypalacz. Of course, the shotgun itself was not a very safe weapon and required great precision of use, just in time for Spartan.

Alice took for herself a rotary laser cannon normally used by Polish Heavy Infantry in Power Armour. Apart from that she also had her battle rifle and her pistol.

Douglas, on the other hand, next to his combat rifle, took a Polish Grot automatic rifle. When asked why he took it, he said he was curious about it and how it differed from the UNSC assault rifle. On Chief's advice, everyone took four thermal grenades with them.

Pluta, on the other hand, took an extremely clumsy green-painted rifle that had a gold-plated skull with wings at the end of the barrel. When asked what kind of weapon it was he replied "Lasgun" and smiled mischievously giving the other Spartans a bad feeling. In addition, he had two pistols on his hips that looked like old Colt M1918As and a futuristic looking machine gun on his crosshairs.

They then packed themselves into the Capsule and sat down on the seats then secured themselves on them. After a moment they heard the countdown of the sailor operating the boarding pods. Chief, out of curiosity, turned off the translator for a moment causing English to become Polish and heard the last numbers in Polish.

"Trzy"

"Dwa"

"Jeden!"

Then the capsule fired with tremendous power from the Frigate towards the Aircraft Carrier while a screen on top of it turned on showing the area around the capsule. The Spartans looked up curiously and admired the view that could be seen.

After a moment Alice asked, "Sir? What is the purpose of this?" Pluta looked at her. "For orientation for the attackers, these pods could just as well be used for a planetary drop." Alice nodded slightly and glancing back realized that the image showed the front of the capsule.

After a while they reached the aircraft carrier and felt clearly and the screen showed them breaking through the plasma shields and then through the ship's armor. After a few seconds that seemed like an eternity the pod stopped and the image changed to the back of the pod showing the corridor they had broken through to. After a quick check and unhooking the security, Jerome pulled the exit lever and they emerged into the corridor.

There they saw how deeply they had penetrated the ship and on the hole Douglas spotted the blood of one of the aliens captured by the pod. Despite his hatred and indoctrination, for a moment he sympathized with the unfortunate man who had the opportunity to stand in the way of the pod.

Then Spartan-II looked wordlessly at Spartan-III, the only one among them, who showed them where to go. Then they ran towards their destination together. The first few minutes passed in silence without meeting any enemies, and from time to time they felt the ship rumbling under the influence of the hits of the human ships. Not wanting to draw attention to themselves the entire team maintained radio silence making them blind as far as the space battle was concerned.

Unfortunately, the team was interrupted by a sudden attack from a masked elite who attacked Pluta, the elite didn't even care as he ran at his opponent and slammed his fist under his neck. The elite flew backwards and then grabbed his neck when he realized it was pierced and bleeding and then started choking from the blood. Chief was the only one of the Spartans to notice the blade retracting into his bracer.

Unfortunately it was a short moment before the rest of the masked alien assassin's team moved to attack. The Spartans didn't wait long for the invitation and opened fire. The first to do so was Jerome using the plasma shotgun, the effects didn't have to wait long the plasma hit the elite and pierced his shields without a problem and then burned a huge hole in his chest without even bothering with the assassin's armor.

The sight after the hit was gruesome and the elite himself roared in pain horribly before falling forward dead. Jerome, on the other hand, did not see this anymore, focused on fighting another elite who, noticing the effect of the plasma rifle, began to do everything in her power not to be hit by it. Jerome had to be careful not to overheat and thus not to melt his weapon.

Elsewhere in the corridor Alice was fighting two other assassins with her rifle and fists. The cannon, of course, she could not draw, not against such agile opponents. Despite her speed, she couldn't outmaneuver them yet and the teamwork of these two was impeccable, what's more it was obvious that they had experience in fighting against Spartans.

The fun would probably have been even longer if Alice hadn't used her Polish grenade. Seeing that she was unable to outmaneuver them she simply threw one to distract them. But the grenade surprised all three of them. Alice of course had brief information on how it worked but to see it with her own eyes was something else.

The grenade at first quickly flew apart while it was in the air and began to draw the two assassins towards it and then a small sun appeared and exploded instantly destroying the elites shields completely and literally melted their combat harnesses and burned much of their skin. Then a shockwave appeared which knocked the two aside like puppets.

Alice quickly checked both bodies making sure they were dead, after that she whistled quietly and looked at the remaining grenades. "I like these babies." After which she turned to see Douglas holding a Grot with one hand firing it like a machine gun at one of the elites taking off his shields to kill him with a BR shot to the head in his other hand.

Further admiration was interrupted by the flight of another now dead elite who slammed into the wall next to Alice, she looked in that direction noticing Chief who was just killing another elite with his pistol. Chief noticed her and nodded slightly to her and then they both turned quickly when they heard a scream. When they looked in the direction from which the scream came they saw Pluta who with one hand was holding the Elite's head and crushing it, more strangely they could see blue energy around the glove of his hand that was holding the alien.

After a while Pluta let go of his opponent with his crushed head at the same time saying. "A good Xenos is a dead Xenos." The corpse on the other hand was well massacred by Pluta, the right arm was missing, the left arm looked to be broken in six different places while the chest looked like the alien had a third degree encounter with a car.

Further admiration of the dark crossbow in the art of killing was interrupted by Jerome slitting the throat of his last opponent, dropping his shotgun to the ground and using his fists and knife. Feeling the eyes of the rest of the team on him Jerome turned around and asked "Did I miss something?" and then saw Pluta's massacred elite corpse.

"Nothing interesting Red One now get going we have a target Station to blow up in the cunt." Replied Pluta to Jerome in a voice devoid of emotion despite the expression used and the look alone sent shivers down the Spartans spine. "Understood Six" Jerome replied and took back his shotgun which he threw on the ground and checked its condition.

The Chief was reminded of his Noble Six's file and more specifically Max-B312's file which he checked out of curiosity wanting to know more about the Spartan who brought Cortana to the Pillar of Autum and eventually lost his own life giving the old cruiser from Reach an opportunity to escape, inadvertently contributing to ending this war significantly.

Unfortunately he was very disappointed because there was more ink than words and all he got was that he had the same level of combat effectiveness as him but without his luck, and that he was pulled out of Beta right after training for some unexplained reason and was used by ONI for the original purpose of the whole Spartan-II Program. There were also some changes about Noble Six himself and among them was the terrifying sight.

As you can see it may be from another universe but the frightening gaze is one of the characteristics of Noble Six regardless of the universe as if it were one of its laws.

Back to reality one thing the Chief wondered was how did Pluta become Spartan-III? He could understand if he was Spartan-IV but everything he noticed indicated that he was a third generation Spartan, his armor was unmistakably from that generation and the symbols on his Armor were from the Covenant War era albeit faded.

Of course, it was Mjolnir and not the SPI they usually got in threes. But going back it was a strange anomaly that he could only explain in one way. The multiverse was the cause.

Further contemplation was interrupted by the raising of the hand of Pluta's handler at the next joining of corridors. He then gestured for everyone to press against the right wall. The Spartans quickly did so and out of the corner came the standard alien squad of four Grunts and one Brute. For some unexplained reason they didn't notice that the Spartans had pressed into the corridor.

Pluta turned his head and made signs for everyone to quietly take care of another alien. The remaining Spartans quickly answered which one they would take care of. Then the tension grew and when the aliens were about halfway to the other corner, Pluta gave the signal to attack and the entire team moved to attack.

Time for all five of them suddenly slowed and the Spartans themselves moved with an unexpected quietness for such giants in armor. Before the Banished team was aware of their presence, the Spartans were beside them and using their bare hands grabbed them all by the necks. The Chief happened to be a Brute, so he used a knife to stab himself in the brain instead.

In a moment that seemed like an eternity, five Spartans simultaneously killed their targets with terrifying efficiency. After a moment time sped up again and the corpses of the slain aliens fell to the floor.

The entire team then proceeded to the right along the corridor the patrol was following and after a short while they reached the door of the reactor room. The entire team quickly set up in an assault position in front of the door and then after a moment Pluta moved first to open the door.

As the door opened Grunt appeared in front of Pluta and walked towards the exit. For a split second the two looked at each other and then Grunt jumped in surprise but did not have time to scream when a Lasgun in Pluta's hands fired and severed Grunt's head and pierced through his back with methane on the hump then Pluta inexplicably threw Grunt's body hands-free into the reactor room straight at the group of aliens.

Once the body arrived, the methane from the backpack suddenly exploded, this was strange because it should have immediately exploded in reaction with a high powered laser. But the Spartans didn't care and instead rushed inside and in their display of awesome and superhuman skills began a dance of death and carnage.

The aliens in the room at first did not know what was going on, the first shot and the explosion of the ground only caused them to suspend all activity, it was only when 4 green two meter long and one smaller red fell inside and began the slaughter that the Banished rushed in, dropped their tools and began to fight the enemy.

They quickly recognized them as 4 elder demons including one that gave them their nickname and one medium demon (the name for Spartan-III as opposed to the much weaker Spartan-IV rarely used due to frequent confusion between III and II). Nevertheless, even the usually panicky Grunts fought with a fierceness and bloodlust unheard of for Spartans, and it is worth saying about the rest that they beat the Grunts at it with ease, which of course made it difficult for the Spartans to clear the room.

Fortunately the Spartans had their aces up their sleeve in the form of the Jerome plasma shotgun which with one shot killed even the toughest Brutes, the Alice laser cannon which although not as effective as the Pluta Lasgun still remained a dangerous toy which only Jackals and Brutes with the heaviest armor can protect against.

Douglas, on the other hand, used all of the thermal grenades with very good effect, using one to kill two Hunters who came as reinforcements to the party, by the way, extreme cluelessness on the part of Banished because what if one of them would have hit the reactor?

But the real icing on the cake of the massive and brutal violence that reigned in this area was the duo of Pluta and Chief. In fact, their actions could be described as a Halo fan's dream come true of Noble Six and Sierra 117 working together, or the answer to what if two of the UNSC's deadliest Spartans worked together.

The answer would be a bloodbath for any idiot who was stupid enough to try and fight them at the same time. And the pile of corpses that piled up around these two was a perfect example. Of course, this cooperation is far from perfect when Chief works together with the rest of the Blue, but in this case it doesn't matter much.

Pluta, on the other hand, does a much better job as the Lone Wolf, who uses the Lasgun's absurd firepower by Halo's known human weapon standards to single-handedly take down everything Chief has trouble with at times. Of course, he has to tone down his urges to go solo in order to work with the rest of the Spartans, but it's noticeable that he operates at a slightly greater distance from the rest than the others.

Suddenly the fight is interrupted by a sudden shake that throws everyone but Pluta to the floor, Pluta avoids it by jumping at the last moment avoiding the first strongest shake.

''What was that?" Jerome asks, picking himself up off the floor. "I think it was a MAC Spirit." Replies Alice while checking the Weapon. "No matter what we have little time. Chief arm the fucking bomb!" Says Pluta and then shoots at the newly emerging boss on the battlefield. The minor Chief of the Brutes from Banished. The Reds quickly join in, pulling the rest of the enemy away from Pluta and the Chief.

Master Chief, on hearing the command, quickly pulls the bomb from his back and begins to arm it using the Polish codes he received. To speed things up he uses Spartan Time, then as he does so he puts his rifle on his back, takes it in his hands, and quickly searches for the place where it is to be placed.

Then being in Spartan Time he starts running to his destination. He doesn't even try to fight but rather dodges from time to time, though not always, and a few times he runs into Jackal without slowing down, killing him. Well the Chief's weight in armor combined with the momentum of the car on the highway does its job, there's a reason why Newton is called the biggest motherfucker in almost every galaxy.

After a while he manages to get there, then using the thrusters in his armor he jumps on top of the reactor in the least protected spot by the plasma and uses the magnets in the bomb to attach it to the wall near the plasma stream. An explosion at such close range should immediately punch through the reactor's coolant and turn the entire ship into a red-hot space scrap heap.

"Ready Six." He says over the radio to Pluta, Pluta in turn replies "Understood, Blue 1 move to exit. Red you too, I'll take care of the ugly and connect with you in the Hangar. Six no Answer."

Hearing this the entire Red team breaks away from the fight and moves to the Hangar, Chief also goes with them. The last thing the Chief sees before he walks out the door is how Pluta pierces through the throat of the Brute Chief with his bayonet on the Lasgun and then twists it to the right and with a straight cut in that direction rips it out of his throat.

UNSC Spirit of Fire

Moments after the boarding

Let us return for a moment to the space battle and explain the constant shaking that our brave Spartans sensed on board the ship of the charmingly bloodthirsty Brutes. The surprise of the Polish frigate's shot was also one for the crew of the Spirit and Commander Shepard. Even for Cutter it was a surprise even though the description he received of the Polish frigate was written as a standard move in their space battles to break up enemy formations.

But it's one thing to read it and another to see it with one's own eyes. The person who asked first was unexpectedly Spirit "Commander Werner what the hell was that?" Werner calmly raised his eyebrows and answered "Our Perun cannon, it fires kinetic projectiles that temporarily accelerate to a speed faster than light. It's impossible to aim with these shells but they are very effective in dispersing enemy formations, although sometimes they can hit the target and destroy it instantly but this requires an enemy that either doesn't move immediately after the shot or has sensors that give information with a delay so that it doesn't see the shot."

Cutter nodded appreciatively at this, a bullet that hits the target at unimaginable speed is certainly dangerous and invites the formation to break. Whereas Shepard forced his eyes "But that doesn't explain why it didn't destroy the enemy carrier but the cruiser did." Werner raised his eyebrows "It's because the carrier is further away so the missile lost most of its power and started flying very slowly plus it has plasma shields which are effective in destroying kinetic missiles of low mass."

And Shepard made a puzzled face "Wait a minute what do you mean it loses most of its power, this is space here there is no way to lose power because there is no force to slow it down!" Werner on the other hand raised his hands in a gesture of helplessness. "And how can I know? Even our greatest scientists don't know why it works that way, so far the most popular hypothesis is that because the Perun cannon uses the ship's hyperdrive to launch the projectile the projectile itself behaves like a ship that goes in and out of hyperspace."

Shepard raised an eyebrow "That doesn't explain much and besides we didn't jump into hyperspace when we flew to Spirit you just used a different drive, a warp jump or something."

Werner nodded in agreement "That's right, that's because we have two different drives, with the Warp drive being used to get anywhere from anywhere without restriction although transport through the Warp is neither too fast nor too slow and without the Dabski fields it's very dangerous. The Hyperdrive is very fast, but requires finding a suitable wormhole and has limitations on where you can jump. And it's dangerous to jump through an unknown wormhole with it."

Further conversation was interrupted by one of the sailors on the bridge. "Captain here comes the enemy strike!" Spirit quickly returned to command and quickly ordered. "Helmsman manerve to starboard and up!" A short "Yes Si.. Madam" was uttered in response as the huge ship moved up and to the right neatly dodging most of Cerberus' missiles though a couple hit Spirit uncaptured by point defenses.

On the bridge they felt the effects of the impact though Shepard reacted the worst not used to the lack of kinetic barriers on the ship. Though in his defense he can give the fact that for a Normandy it would have been more of a sign of near death or that she was dead in the water. Fortunately the Doctor was quick to respond by helping him stay on his feet.

"Works ready?" She asked Spirit and after receiving an affirmative answer she said "Shoot whenever you're ready." After which she turned her head to Cutter

"Rear Admiral can you ask where the hell is Ewelina?" As soon as she said that the Cerberus ships suddenly changed target and one of the frigates exploded.

"Ewelina is pulling back the enemy." Cutter replied. The Polish frigate also added its three cents, firing at CAS Banished with its port side using a diverse array of guns on it. "And Sprawiedliwosc is attacking CAS, Captain get the MAC ready so we have to give something back too."

Spirit nodded and began giving the appropriate orders. While Cutter began to look through the hologram looking for a way to not destroy his ships. In the back, Captain Lee was watching the whole scene, taking notes in his memory and with the help of his AI sidekick on his neural disk, and reporting back to his official and unofficial superiors.

Only the Doctor noticed this and decided to discuss it with Pluta when he returned from the Banished ship.

Hello after a long absence of everyone who waited for the next story. It's been a while hasn't it?

No need to worry it's not dead I just had and still have a phase to write elsewhere but I won't forget the first story.

Ahead of the facts, everything related to Halo is first based on the games and then any non-game as far as possible on Halopedia, although I reserve the right to twist something, why? Well because it's not the original universe?

And also there will be no beating Mass Effect for this please do not worry, they will have their glorious five minutes.

And now I say goodbye and greetings and I hope that the next chapter will be soon.
