Sanae Hanekoma always looked forward to seeing the little boy with ash-blond locks come into WildKat, eyes wide open to the world around him, curiously observing things no living human were supposed to see.
Yoshiya 'Joshua' Kiryu was a lively ball of imagination, and Sanae enjoyed encouraging this aspect. It was no secret that the boy had started looking fondly at the world ever since retreating to the Cafe', and the barista was proud to have initiated this change.
The door bell chimed merrily as in ran the nine-year-old, amethyst eyes sparkling with life and energy. He eagerly brushed his ash-blond locks out of his eyes and giggled happily, a sigh of relief escaping his young throat. There were stains on his usually immaculate pants, baige today but clearly Dragon Couture as usual. This hinted at why the usually inactive boy had actually bothered to exert energy running as opposed to sauntering through the busy streets.
"Ah, hey kiddo! Looks like you got in quite a tangle today eh?" Sanae commented lightly as Joshua took his usual seat at the bar and eagerly held out yen for a hit chocolate, which the Barista took and exchanged with the cup with marshmallows. One of these days I'll teach you to love a true cuppa joe, kiddo.
"Mother wanted me to play at the Sarahara Manor today. I was not in favor." the boy spat bitterly. "I tried telling her, but grownups never listen. Cept you, Mister H." He took a sip of his drink and lit up a bit, licking his lips, clearly pleased, before continuing "I ran. I'm not good at it though, and tripped. Shame, I liked these pants too."
Sanae smiled lightly, "Well, nothing a good wash won't fix, right?"
"Father will burn them when I get home"
Sanae frowned "They're perfectly recoverable, J."
"Nuh uh. Father and Mother won't see me in shoddy pants. It's bad for our image. Any spilled on or stained clothes get the boot right away."
"Perks of money, right J?"
The little boy tittered and shook his head "A waste, Mister H. I'd rather buy something useful, like ice cream."
Sanae chuckled "Ice cream? Useful? How so?"
"It's food. It's yummy, and it makes me happy enough that the monsters don't hang around my house."
The absolute seriousness that the little boy said this made the Angel a bit nervous and slightly alarmed. It seemed Joshua drew Noise to his house without meaning to, and Daichi just helped feed them, keeping the things attatched to the Kiryu Manor, and things miserable for his family.
Keeping his tone light, the barista chuckled softly and handed the kids another glass of cocoa.
"Noise are naturally not fond of ice cream, anyway. Too pure and cheery a snack, you see. Tell you what, kiddo, tomorrow I'll make you a strawberry sundae, ok?"
"On the house?" the purple eyes widened hopefully.
"With a discount. Don't try to bankrupt me!"
