The carriage came to a halt with a crash. Everyone in the back was sent flying into each other. At least they hadn't fallen out the back like the last time. Sam landed on top of Crabtree which she knew wasn't going to do his injuries any good. Crabtree muffled a groan but managed to keep back anything else. Pendrick was the first to say something which was good as he hadn't said anything since they had been picked up by the gang.

"We're here." He stated the obvious.

"Are we? I'm glad you told us! I would have never known!" Higgins snarled, making clear his feelings at that moment.

"Don't fight! It's bad enough being taken without you two fighting." Sam stopped Pendrick for swinging at Higgins.

"Sorry it's his fault though." Higgins moaned.

Sam moaned back trying to make the situation better. Pendrick gave her a little smile to show he was fine. She then slowly helped Crabtree to his feet.

"You okay?" Pendrick asked Crabtree.

"Felt better. Let's just get on with it." Crabtree nodded.

As soon as Crabtree said this, the back door opened and three men appeared. Two of them took Crabtree and Pendrick and the other Higgins. Sam was left alone. She hoped it wasn't for long but wondered why she hadn't been taken at the same time as the others.

Crabtree, Pendrick and Higgins were thrown into a room in the warehouse. The door slammed behind them and it was made clear Sam wasn't joining them. Pendrick stood nearest the door but couldn't see out as there was no window.

"Why do they need us? I mean if they have Myers already…" Pendrick tried to make light of the situation.

"Do we know they have Myers though?" Crabtree asked, leaning up against the wall.

"I would guess they do. We've checked everywhere else." Pendrick shrugged.

"He's a spy, he could be anywhere!"

"And why have they taken Sam? Why couldn't she be in here as well?" Higgins piped up.

There was then a click from outside the door. The three men went quiet ready for whatever fate befall them. The re-opened and someone else was thrown through the door, being caught by Higgins. The door then closed once again and locked.

"Myers!" Higgins sighed as the other person stood up and dusted themselves off.

"Who were you expecting?!" Myers snapped.

Higgins went to throw a fist at him but Crabtree stopped him. Pendrick felt exactly the same way but stopped himself.

"How did you guys end up here then?" Myers asked after looking at them for a while.

"A crash happened between our carriage and theirs. It was planned by the looks of it." Pendrick answered.

"What about Sam? I'm guessing she was with you." Myers almost sounded annoyed at them.

"No she's not." Pendrick sounded just as annoyed back.

Myers and Pendrick stared at each for a minute, rolled their eyes at each other and then returned to where they were before they had started talking. It was clear to anyone that they weren't going to talk anymore unless they had to, which would be a very weird occasion indeed.

Sam was saved till last for the people to come back. The three men approached again empty handed and guided her out of the carriage. They then led her into the warehouse. The warehouse hadn't changed at all since she had been there last. She wasn't surprised the gang don't seem too intelligent to change the way things look. They threw her onto the ground in front of three shadowy figures.

"Well. Well. Well. Detective Samantha Murdoch." A female voice said in a somewhat creepy tone.

"At your service." Sam tried to make a joke.

The lady in question knelt down in front of Sam. Sam didn't recognise the face or the voice but knew it must be someone her father knew. It was nearly always someone her father had bumped into before. Plus she knew her name, so someone who kept a keen eye on the Murdochs.

"What are we going to do with her? Feed her to the dogs?" Another asked, a bit more girl sounding then the first.

"Calm down girls. Throw her in the cell with the others." The first woman waved to the men standing behind Sam.

The men nodded and Sam was taken away. Just as this happened a flash of lightning illuminated the room. Well timed to how the situation was going Sam thought.

Watts paced the floor of the station. He had gone back to the station to think. Other officers were scouring the area seeing where the trail led. They would telephone when they had more. Well that's what they said anyway. He had seen Miss Cherry back to her office just in case she stayed behind his back.

"Come on Watts think!" Watts whispered to himself.

Miss James had joined the detective after hearing him come back from the crime scene. She had thought it best not to go with the two Murdochs as she might have to break up a fight and by Watts description of them at the crime scene she had made the best choice.

"Was there anything at the scene that could lead you to a suspect?" Miss James tried to make Watts think.

"No. Even if there was, they would have cleaned it up. They're too clever to leave something behind."

"So all we have are those carriage treads?"

"At the moment. Until we find out where they lead."

Miss James nodded and turned back to the black board. Watts had moved things around a little to see if it would help in any way but it hadn't.

"Still no sign of Myers?" Miss James asked.

"I didn't know he was missing. Didn't get the chance I suppose." Watts shook his head.

A knock then came at the station door. This was weird as most people just strolled in these days. Miss James and Watts looked at each other in amusement but let the other person come in.

On the other side of the door was Ruth Newsome. Must be looking for her husband, Watts thought. She looked distressed but neither Watts or Miss James were surprised. Not to be rude to Miss Newsome but she could kind of be over the top sometimes and when it came to Higgins, nothing was held back!

"Miss Newsome." Watts nodded as she strolled in, with her napkin up to her face. Her makeup was somewhat smudged.

"Detective. Miss James." Ruth said through tears.

Miss James showed her over to a chair. Ruth was clearly going to burst into tears at any moment, so it would be easier if they could get her out of the way.

"What can we do for you Miss Newsome?" Watts asked, leaning up against his desk.

"I'm missing my Henry. He promised me that he would be home early today and yet still no sign of him." Ruth blurted out.

"Did he now?" Miss James stared over at Watts to tell her the truth.

"You wouldn't know where he was would you?" Ruth asked, looking between them both.

"I'm afraid something has happened to your husband and some of the other members of this station house, Miss Newsome." Watts went slowly.

"Something bad?"

"Yes. We think they have been kidnapped by the gang that we've been investigating." Watts told.

The door clicked open once again and Sam was thrown into the cell with the others. She brushed herself off as the door closed once more. Pendrick was the first one to go over to her to check she was okay. Crabtree kept back just in case Pendrick got into another fight with them. Plus Sam seemed okay with Pendrick so he didn't mind too much.

"Well I can most certainly say I wasn't expecting that!" Sam breathed out heavily.

"Did you see who it was? The person who took us?" Pendrick asked.

"I just heard voices really. It was too dark to see their faces. Myers." Sam nodded seeing the spy out of the corner of her eye.

"Detective Murdoch." Myers sighed back.

"You seem to have a problem with us, Myers." Pendrick heard the sigh and quickly turned around to find the cause.

"No problem. Just I want to be out of here." Myers timed back.

Crabtree and Henry held back Pendrick from throwing another punch in Myers direction. It was a small cell and no one wanted one of them to go into the wall and hit their head. Even Myers! Sam took Pendrick to one side just in case Myers said anything else.

"Calm down." She whispered.

"He just gets on my nerves." Pendrick whispered back.

"Then don't. We might be here a while and I don't want two bodies on my hands."

"Alright. Alright."

Pendrick smiled at Sam telling her she could leave him alone without having to worry about Myers. True Sam never worried about Myers. She didn't need to. Myers only worried about himself and no one else. She had learned that early on. As her dad didn't get on with Myers it kind of just passed on down to her. Luckily working with Myers didn't come too often.

"So does anyone have a plan to get out of here?" Higgins changed the subject to keep the mood off fighting each other.

"Anyone got a lock pic?" Crabtree asked.

Everyone either shook their heads or said no. Even if they did have a lock pick, more than likely none of them would know how to use it!

"Okay that's it." Sam said, getting a piece of chalk out of her pocket. She started to write something on the floor.

"What are you doing?" Crabtree chuckled.

"Writing everything down from the blackboard. If we're going to solve the case we might as well do it here." Sam continued to write.

"You remember everything from the blackboard?"

"Nearly. I'm sure if I miss anything Henry will tell me if I do." Sam pointed towards Higgins with her head.

Higgins went red when Sam said this. It was true, he did like to correct people when asked to. Sam however, was the hardest to correct as she was hardly ever wrong. He kneeled down next to her to make sure she wrote everything down, chipping in when he could.

"Writing on the floor?! We've gone mad!" Myers tutted. He seemed to be the only one against this as Crabtree and Pendrick were watching Sam's every move.

"You're welcome to stop us." Crabtree said not even looking at Myers as he said this.

Myers folded his arms and sat down against the door. He didn't say anything more as the four continued writing and talking more about the case. It seems that he has missed a lot.
