Sam folded her arms staring at Crabtree and Higgins. They were definitely hiding from her and the other two. She didn't know if Myers knew but apparently he knew everything nowadays so she wouldn't be surprised.
"Well? Are you going to tell me or be thrown off the table?" Sam kept asking hoping more and more for an answer.
"There was this one case that had somebody like you're describing but it can't be possible." Crabtree shook his head.
"Well anything would be useful even if it might not be them." Pendrick backed Sam.
"There was this woman who had three different personalities. One of them sounded like a young girl." Higgins continued Crabtree's information.
"Why isn't it her then?"
"She's in an insane asylum and as far as I know she has broken out." Crabtree shrugged.
Sam sighed as George said this. Great just when it felt like they were getting somewhere. Then she remembered the other two women the person was with.
"There was this other woman. I mean she was silent when I was being interrogated but maybe there was someone like her you have met before." Sam suggested.
"What did she look like?" Higgins asked.
"I think she was blonde. Kind of had a cruel face." Sam said vaguely.
"And the other?" Crabtree sounded a bit worried, almost terrified.
"Older. I think she might have been carrying something." Sam frowned trying to think.
"A doll maybe?"
"Something like that. Why?"
"The woman with the three personalities shared the asylum with two other women and they were just like you described." Higgins breathed out heavily.
"Are they dangerous?" Myers piped up.
"They were in an asylum. What do you think?" Higgins said sarcastically.
"Have they broken out then?" Sam asked.
"Sounds like it."
"And they were all behind this. Why?" Pendrick raised an eyebrow.
"They hate us. We put them all away, especially detective Murdoch." Higgins said.
Crabtree was very quiet. It seemed like it was a pretty sore subject to talk about with him so Sam didn't disturb him. With Higgins telling most of the story anyway it didn't really matter. Sam just hoped these women were somehow reliable with keeping their promises.

Murdoch was the first one out of the door after the constable. Brakenreid managed to catch up with him before he got out of sight. He was very worried about him, even more than usual.
"Murdoch?" Brakenreid whispered.
"Yes sir."
"Are you sure you should be out on the case? Maybe you should just stay behind." Brakenreid almost begged.
"I can't stay behind sir. There's too much at stake."
"I know that but you've only just got out of the hospital! Did Julia agree to this?"
"After a while, yes. Now stop worrying."
Brakenreid wanted to say more but Murdoch got into the station carriage before he could. Watts and the constable quickly followed with Miss James holding back Miss Newsome. If Ruth had her way, she would be going with them! Brakenreid tipped his hat at Miss James and then made the carriage pull off.
"Are they going to be alright all on their own?" Ruth sobbed.
"I'm sure they'll be fine." Miss James repeated for what felt like the millionth time!
"Maybe we should go with them."
"They don't need us going along with them. We'll just get in the way."
Ruth looked where the carriage had gone one more time, nodded and followed Miss James back into the station house. Miss James would have a lot to deal with trying to keep Ruth calm but she was sure she could manage just for a bit anyway.

The carriage was very quiet as it made its way back to the scene of the crash. All of them were focused on the case and the rescue mission they would have to do to get everyone out of there.
"So have we got a plan?" Watts finally spoke.
"Probably." Brakenreid just said.
Nobody said anything else which was quite surprising considering how detailed their plans usually were. Even the constable joining them didn't say anything. They would just have to make a plan when they got there, that's all.

The whole room had gone quiet again as everyone thought about how the whole case came together. Higgins kept looking like he was going to speak but shook his head and then went back to thinking.
"What I don't get is how all of this is linked to your case Myers?" Sam bit her nails.
"Unless it's two gangs working together." Higgins suggested and everyone actually listened to him for once.
"Myers what was your gang like?" Pendrick joined in the conversation.
"Some men but it never seemed like they were in charge. Almost like they had someone else controlling them." Myers shook his head.
"Or some people?" Sam smirked. It was kind of nice seeing women in charge of something, even if it was a criminal gang.
Before the group could discuss the case anymore, the radio crackled back to life. All of them got ready to listen in and water suddenly came out of nowhere.
"Hello inmates. I hear you've been busy trying to solve the case in our absence but still haven't got anywhere." A woman's voice, which Higgins soon recognised, said.
"Oh no!" Higgins whispered under his breath.
"Is it someone you know?" Sam whispered back.
Higgins nodded and looked over to Crabtree. He had a gloomy face like thunder at this moment in time. The voice over the radio then continued.
"Well you'd better get a move on! We don't want you getting wet feet now do we?"
As she said this, the water that had been a little puddle on the floor when they started, now raised up to halfway up the desk legs. Sam held on to Pendrick as the desk moved a little. The radio then crackled off again.
"Right. That's it. If you guys don't solve this case then I will!" Myers moaned loudly.
"Well, go ahead." Pendrick fought back.
Myers moaned something under his breath so the others couldn't hear. Pendrick was right though. If they wanted to get out of this they would have to work together, not alone!
"So you're gang shot the man in the first place then? Or was it one of the women?" Higgins asked the group.
"It was the gang and I think the gang also shot detective Murdoch." Myers said, looking over at Sam.
"So are the women just behind all of this then? Why would they need the gang if…" Sam trailed off.
"What?" Crabtree spoke.
"Do you know if the body we found had any connection to us or the women?"
"Might have done." Higgins thought.
"Well there you go and if Myers gang was famous then the women could have hired them to do all of their dirty work. What was the name of that body in the end?"
"Walter Erikson." Higgins remembered suddenly.
"Hang on. That's the lawyer that sent Maddie, Girly and Charlotte down." Crabtree mentioned.
"Three people?" Sam asked, puzzled.
"No, same person. The woman with three personalities. What happened to the other lawyers?" Crabtree looked over to Higgins as he seemed to know most of the answers.
"Dwight Alderman has retired and Peter Mallone has left the country. I doubt they would be able to get to them." Higgins shook his head.
"Knowing them they would." Crabtree rolled his eyes.
"So was my father an accident or do you think the gang were meant to shoot them?" Sam asked, looking around the room trying to find an escape root.
"Maybe. I mean we're stuck here." Pendrick mentioned.
The water then raised a little more. Everyone moved their feet up onto the desk making sure they didn't get wet.
"So that's it then, we've solved it then?" Sam said, hoping she was right.
"I hope so." Myers shared the same idea.
The whole room agreed with them. Hopefully the people on the radio had heard them and would let them out soon.
