Spirit was getting suspicious of Ruben, He had been a lot more quiet and she would often see him watching her from the background. She was trying out for the fencing club, where she had to fence against Kayla as the entrance exam! The two did the courtesy bow required before taking three steps away, getting into pose and waiting for the cue to start.
"Commencer" The instructor said, waving his arm down in a vertical movement. The two fencers immediately began to strike, counter-strike, and to block the parries. Spirit did not have a great amount of fencing experience like Kayla did so it didn't take her long to feel the poke of Kayla's sword on her and hearing the buzzer sound.
She was given a second chance and did remarkably better, even starting to push Kayla closer and closer to the wall behind her. It looked like she was going to win before Kayla jumped backwards, using her powerful legs to propelle straight over Spirits' head and tapped her fencing rod to the dragon's spine, Spirit whirling around in disbelief, it had all happened so fast!
Spirit laughed, being humble, and commenting on her ability to use her surroundings to her advantage. Spirit was ecstatic to learn she was approved to join the fencing club! Once again she noticed Rusty had been watching her yet again. When she tried to confront him about this but he denied it.
She wasn't convinced but couldn't exactly prove anything at the moment. She still keeps an eye out for him, seeing Jim again and again. her dragon mind constantly trying to think of a reason for his suspicious activity.
