All was quiet in the zoophoenix academy. Students were moving about opening and closing their lockers. Suddenly there was a deafening roar making everyone flinch or jump. There was a deafening voice shouting "WHEN I GET MY CLAWS ON YOU I'LL RIP OFF ALL YOUR FUR!!!!!!!!" followed by a scream that sounds like it came from a 4-year-old girl. Rusty running down the hallway followed by a very pissed off dragoness named Spirit. Running after him with smoke coming out of her nostrils and a red fury in her eyes. Rusty almost ran into Zech but managed to move behind him in time. Zech, having the cool demeanor moved his head backwards slightly as Spirit skidded to a stop in front of him, heaving angrily. "My office. Both of you, NOW." Zech said. She growled slightly before turning and walking away.Zech grabbed rusty and walked towards his office while the students watched and murmured quietly.

In the office Spirit was finally calmed down and nursing a wound on the tip of her tail, mumbling something inaudible. Zech waited patiently for Spirit to finish then said, "alright you two please explain what happened and why half the school heard your roar, Spirit you talk first."

She sighed. "Ok well I was looking for something in my locker-"

Flashback

Spirit opened up her locker and was rummaging around. "Where is that blasted sketchbook?" She murmured to herself. She had been doing a sketching of the surrounding area and was getting close to finishing the mountains to the west. "Looking for something?" She sighed, closing her locker and turned to see Rusty holding her sketchbook with a snarky smirk. "Give it back." She said, Mmmmm no." he said and ripped out the page she had almost finished and shredded it causing her to begin to feel rage. She snatched her sketchbook back and wacked him with her wing as she turned to leave. "Hey!!" he snapped at her, grabbing her wing but she just smacked him again and ignored him. "Alright that does it!!!" He shouted. He grabbed her tail and bit then end of it

End of flashback.

"You BIT the end of her tail?" Zech said in an uncharacteristically surprised tone of voice. "She wanked me with her wings twice!" he retorted. "And you broke into her locker, stole her private property and destroyed it." Zech shot back. "Ruben detention for three days Spirit afternoon detention. Both of you are dismissed." He said then went back signing papers. They both left after glaring at each other.

"Spirit, is it ok if I ask a question?" Zill asked when she was eating lunch with the main 5. She finished swallowing "fire away." Zill took a sip of water. "I thought that dragon scales were as strong as diamonds. Almost impenetrable."

"Mmmmmmm, well contrary to common belief that is not true. A dragon's BONES are as hard as diamonds. Scales aren't as tough however it would take Ruben tens of thousands of bites to penetrate them." She said,

"Woah hold on." Spam said in his Aussie accent. "If it would take him that many bites to penetrate your scales then how did one bite hurt your tail so bad I heard it outside?" he asked, tilting his head curiously. "Well it normally would it's more of where he bit me then how hard or how many times in this case." She said, "you see dragons have a vulnerable spot at the tip of their tails. All dragons have it." She finished.

"Woah woah woah." Jack said. "I've stepped on Malcolm's tail tons of times and he's never been in that much pain before." Spirit huffed with amusement. "Malcom, while he can shape shift, is not a dragon in his shapeshifted form. He is actually a wyvern. It's a common mistake. Here." She took out a piece of paper and smoothed it out. "There are many different forms of reptile-like mythical creatures." she said pointing out the different kinds. "There are Drakes, Lindwrums, Wryms, Amphipteres, Wyverns and Dragons like me. The Wyverns are the most common mistaken for dragons. I try not to have much offense to it. It's very common." she said with a shrug.
