I don't own anyone or thing mentioned in this story except for Hemera Song- Thank you!

Tony Stark

"You want us to do /what/?" Tony asked incredulously. He could hardly believe what he'd just heard. It sounded like Fury had said- but not even Fury would give that heartless of an order right?

"Bring Hemera Song in for questioning. Use as much force as necessary." Director Fury deadpanned. "She's too much of a mystery to leave uninvestigated. Her file is almost empty except for instances of her disappearing for a long time before she'll be documented as showing up halfway around the world, her appearance usually corresponding with some destructive event which will be taken care of almost immediately after."

"She's 15-" Steve Rogers interjected, looking a bit horrified with this assignment. "You're sending the Avengers to kidnap a child!" As much as Tony hated to agree with the super soldier, he couldn't help but nod.

"Capsicle is right- this isn't-" Tony started before Fury stopped him with a withering glare. Before long the Avengers were on their way to the last documented location of Hemera Song. Downtown New York City.

Hemera Song

Hemera quietly cursed her bad luck. Why, when she had managed to survive two wars, countless monster attacks, and even the greek pit of evil itself, Tartarus, for 5 years, was she now struggling to fight off a few Anemoi Thuellai, otherwise known as Storm Spirits. Apparently the Storm Spirits had nothing better to do than to attack a demigod just going for a midnight walk through the streets of New York City after dropping by to visit Percy Jackson at his mom's apartment. She swung her sword through the air, managing to hit one of the nearly invisible monsters judging from the angry hiss that followed her strike. She spread her wings, willing them to become visible as she lifted into the sky, continuing to fight the Storm Spirits until the monsters were reduced to small piles of golden dust. Hemera landed, folding in her wings and sliding her Celestial Bronze sword into its sheath. She exited the alley, continuing on her walk. After a few minutes she began to feel as if someone was following her. Without moving her head she scanned her surroundings carefully. Sure enough, there were at least four people well hidden in the area. Slowly, she continued walking before she heard the faint buzz of a tranquilizer dart fly through the air.

Steve Rogers

She ducked. Steve was more than a bit surprised. How had a child, not even 16 managed to hear the dart coming and properly avoid it?! He was pulled out of his thoughts when something on the girl's back- were those /Wings/?- unfurled and she shot into the sky now holding a glowing bronze sword. Within seconds Tony flew up to meet her, holding his right hand out in front of him, the repulsor beginning to glow slightly.

"Drop the sword kid, we just need to ask a few questions-" Tony began to say. The girl's eyes narrowed, but they weren't the eyes of a normal teenager. Steve could see that even from down on the ground. They were the eyes of a trained soldier, one who had been in many far worse situations.

"Apologies Sir, but I'd prefer not to leave myself defenseless when I'm surrounded by- how many of you are there?" The girl glanced at each of the Avengers, even the ones who were still hidden. "-Four people who all seem to have some kind of weapon, especially when they just tried to tranquilize me."

Steve stepped out of his hiding place. "It was just a precaution," He started, trying to draw the girl's attention to him to give Natasha or Clint time to try again with the tranquilizers. He was somewhat surprised that she didn't seem to recognize them as the Avengers.

"I'm sure it was-" Faster than any of them were expecting, the girl dove down, past Tony, before rising back into the sky behind him, flying between buildings making it impossible to get a clear shot. The Avengers gave chase, Tony in the sky, Clint and Natasha on the rooftops, and Steve on the ground. The girl was fast but Clint managed to aim and shoot the tranquilizer, hitting the girl right where her wings met her back. She tensed, a look of pure panic covering her face before slipping into unconsciousness, beginning to fall out of the sky. Tony caught her just before she hit the ground.
