#3 Ethereal

(Post war)

Mai loved the night, a time when the whole world shut down, it was magical, mysterious, magical and ethereal. And she usually loved spending her nights with Zuko. It was usually walking in the gardens or cuddling in bed or anything that allowed them to spend time together.

"Can I ask you something?" Zuko asked as they took a stroll through the gardens.

"Mhmm," Mai replied and moved a bit closer to her boyfriend. "Why do you love the night so much?" Mai laced her fingers through his before replying, "My what an interesting question, , I love the night because it's quiet and dark and ethereal," She replied shrugging.

"Just like you," Zuko said, grateful that the dark hid his blush. Mai blushed too but managed to retort by playfully shoving him. "You've been spending way too much time with Sokka."

Zuko pulled her toward the old apple tree and they both sat down on the grass. "I haven't been spending too much time with Sokka and my statement still stands. You are quiet, dark and ethereal."

"I'm willing to let it slide this once since you've had a long day," Mai yawned and curled up against him. Zuko kissed her forehead. "Okay." Both were asleep till morning.
