An Ultimate Betrayal-Ch 19
Derek stayed by Penelopes side holding her hand over the next several hours as he watched her sleep. He still couldn't believe it, he was going to be a daddy, him Derek Morgan was finally, finally going to get the family he'd always dreamed of.
He was pulled from his thoughts when Payton whispered, "she's waking up", Derek leaned forward and said, "sweetness, sweetness, can you hear me"?, she started moaning and said, "h hot hotstuff, what ha happened"?, Derek said, "you're alright baby girl, you're in the hospital and you're safe now".
Hotch smiled and said, "we're going to step out and give the two of you some time alone to talk", Derek nodded his head yes in agreement as he watched the rest of his family disappeared out into the hall.
Derek blew out a deep breath as he looked down at Penelope, she gently squeezed his hand and in unison they said, "I'm sorry". Derek said, "what are you sorry about, you didn't do anything".
She said, "oh but I did, I believed that you cheated on me, how could I have ever doubted your love for me, I'm so sor" and her words were cut off by him claiming her lips with his in a passionate kiss.
When they pulled apart he said, "I love you and only you baby girl, you are the light of my life and I would never ever purposely hurt you". She reached her arm up to his cheek and caressed it and said, "I know angel fish, I know".
Penelope said, "what happened to Peter, is he okay"?, Derek shook his head and said, "I'm so sorry baby girl but he didn't make it". Tears streamed down her cheek and she said, "you've got nothing to be sorry for hotstuff, you and the team did what you had to do".
Derek said, "but he was your brother, I'm so sorry for what happened to you when Zach and your brother took you". Penelope looked down at their intertwined hands and closed her eyes.
Derek felt his heart racing as he opened his mouth and said, "sweetness did Zach, did he, well did he" and she shook her head and said, "no, no he didn't rape me, he said that he wanted me to give myself to him and that was something that I was never going to do".
He smiled and said, "I love you so much", she moved in the bed and winced in pain and Derek said, "here I'll get the nurse". She squeezed his hand and said, "please don't go, please don't leave me".
As he sat back down he said, "I need to talk to you about something", Penelope said, "that sounds serious, is something wrong"?, he smiled and said, "no, nothing's wrong, it's just I need to tall you something that I was told earlier this evening".
Penelope looked at him, she could tell he was nervous, she said, "just go ahead and tell me hotstuff, you can tell me anything you know that". He looked down at her and said, "you're pregnant sweetness, around 10 weeks along".
Her eyes widened and she said, "I'm wh wh what"?, Derek said, "so I take it that you had no idea then"?, she shook her head and said, "well I have been getting nauseated for the past few days but I thought it was just nerves".
Derek said, "I was so happy when I heard the news that we're going to be parents, that we're bringing a little angel into the world that is part you and part me and allllllllll perfect".
She laughed and said, "are you sure that you want this, that you want me and a baby because I don't want you to be forced into something you don't wa" and Derek cut her off again by saying, "PENELOPE GARCIA WILL YOU MARRY ME"?
