An Ultimate Betrayal-Ch 21
Over the next couple of weeks Penelopes body healed completely as she not only planned for her wedding to the love of her life but as they also came to terms with the fact that they were going to be parents.
The team had been sent to a couple of cases and Penelope helped from her brothers house, he had a home office with an awesome computer so her helping her team wasn't a problem.
Fran and the girls arrived in California and were met at the airport by Penelopes brothers Patrick and Paul while Payton stayed at home and continued on getting their backyard ready for the upcoming wedding.
The thoughts of spending the rest of her life with Derek and their child filled her heart with so much joy. However, she still couldn't forget what her brother Peter and childhood boyfriend had done to her.
At night she would constantly be woken up from nightmares by a worried Fran Morgan Rossi, who was always there with her motherly love and open arms for the woman that was soon to be her daughter-in-law.
One night while Derek and the team were still away on a case Fran and Penelope were sitting out in the backyard looking up at the stars. Fran sighed happily and said, "you have some amazing brothers Penelope".
She nodded her head and said, "yes, yes I do Fran", Fran put her hand on Penelopes and said, "I'm so sorry about your other brother". Penelope took a sip of her tea and said, "thank you, but. we've never been close Peter and me, he's always hated me and always treated me differently".
Fran said, "their was no excuse for what he did to you and Derek, his warped sense of right and wrong cost the two of you both so much". Penelope said, "it did but they didn't get what they wanted because in the end Derek and I love each other and we will be together".
Fran grinned and said, "speaking of being in love have you noticed it"?, Penelope giggled and said, "ohhh you mean Desi and Paul and Sarah and Patrick, ohhhhh yeah I've noticed, they are all smitten, very, very smitten".
Penelope sighed happily and said, "something tells me that soon you'll be adding more Garcias to your family". Fran said, "I welcome your brothers and you into my family with open arms Penelope".
Penelope grinned and said, "thank you Fran, I can't tell you how much that means to me, to us all". Fran gently squeezed Penelopes hand and said, "how's the morning sickness, any better"?, Penelope said, "now that I'm almost 13 weeks it's almost gone thank goodness".
Fran smiled at the younger woman and said, "you and Derek are going to be great parents and I'm sure that it goes without saying that I'm going to spoil my grandchildren rotten, right"?, Penelope laughed and said, "ohhhh of that I never had a doubt Fran, never had a doubt".
They sat there in silence for a few minutes before Penelope said, "I need to do something but I know that it will make Derek mad". Fran looked at her and said, "what do you want to do honey"?, Penelope took another sip of her tea and said, "in order to get closure I need to go see Zach".
Fran said, "are you sure that's a good idea"?, Penelope nodded her head and said, "I do and in order for me to move on with my life I have to do it Fran". The older woman smiled at her and said, "then I know that my stubborn son will be right by your side holding your hand".
Penelope grinned and said, "I need you all, I need Derek and the rest of our family by my side because I know that together their isn't anything that we can't do" and Fran smiled as she pulled the younger woman into a motherly hug.
