An Ultimate Betrayal-Ch 26
Derek blew out a deep breath as the music started and he watched as first Emily and then JJ slowly made their way up the aisle. As he watched them walk slowly up the aisle he could hardly wait to see his bride in her dress, he had been in love with her practically since the day they had met and today she was going to become his wife.
Jack and Henry slowly made their way up the aisle carrying the rings, they looked so handsome in their little tuxedos. Fran couldn't help but grin as she watched the two little boys as they walked up and stood in front of their fathers.
The music changed and Derek smiled lovingly as he saw his future bride start making her way finally up the aisle toward him. She looked so beautiful and the way that dress hugged every curve perfectly made him lick his lips in anticipation of what the night would bring.
Sarah and Desi winked at their boyfriends causing Patrick and Paul to grin and wink back at the Morgan sisters that had quickly stolen their hearts. The closer Penelope was getting to Derek the faster her heart was racing, she had dreamed of this day for so long and now, today in front of their family and friends her dream was finally coming true.
When Penelope and the others stopped the minister watched as Dave put Penelopes hand in Dereks and said, "take good care of our girl". Derek smiled and nodded his head and said, "everyday for the rest of my life, I will treasure and love her" causing Dave and the three brothers to smile.
After they walked over to stand with Fran and the girls the minister said, "please be seated" as he looked over the small group that had gathered. He then looked at Derek and Penelope and smiled as he readied to continue the ceremony.
Penelope gently squeezed Dereks hand as the minister said, "dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in front of God and these witnesses to join together Derek and Penelope in the bonds of holy matrimony".
Dave leaned in and kissed Fran on the cheek before turning his attention back to the bride and groom as the ceremony continued. As the ceremony continued the minister said, "who here gives this woman away to this man in marriage"?, Dave and her brothers stood up and said in unison, "we do", Penelope grinned and then turned her attention back to the man that had stolen her heart, her Derek.
The minister then said a little prayer wishing the couple a long life together filled with nothing but joy, love and happiness. He smiled as he looked out at the family and then smiled as the groom winked at his nervous bride.
He then looked down at the boys and asked for the rings, Henry and Jack stepped forward and held up their pillows so the minister could get their rings. He then said another prayer and then looked at Derek and said, "Derek please take Penelopes ring and put it on her finger and then repeat after me".
Derek nervously took the ring into his hand and slid it onto her finger, he then took a deep breath as he waited for the minister to continue. He then heard the minister say, "I Derek take you Penelope to be my lawfully wedded wife", Derek smiled lovingly at her and said, "I Derek take you Penelope to be my lawfully wedded wife".
He then heard the minister say, "I promise to love, honor and cherish you in sickness and health, for richer or poorer until death parts us". Derek took a deep breath and said, "i promise to love, honor and cherish you in sickness and health, for richer or poorer until death parts us".
Penelope looked up as the minister said, "Penelope, take Dereks ring and put it onto his finger and then repeat after me". She took the ring in her hand and shakily slid it onto his finger and whispered, "I love you".
The minister then said, "I Penelope take you Derek to be my lawfully wedded husband", she grinned and said, "I Penelope take you Derek to be my lawfully wedded husband". He then said, "I promise to love, honor and cherish you in sickness and health, for richer or poorer until death parts us".
As tears streamed down her face she said, "I promise to love, honor and cherish you in sickness and health, for richer or poorer until death parts us". Derek reached up and wiped away her tears and said, "I love you baby girl".
They both then looked at the minister as he said, "if their is anyone here that can show just cause why these two can't be lawfully joined, let them speak now or forever hold their peace" After a few seconds he said, "well then, by the powers vested in me by this state, I now pronounce you husband and wife".
He then looked at the smiling couple and said, "Derek, you may kiss your bride", Derek the cupped her face in his hands and leaned in and pressed his lips against hers in a gentle but oh so passionate kiss.
When they pulled apart the minister said, "ladies and gentlemen it gives me great pleasure to introduce to you Mr. and Mrs. Derek Morgan". As the air filled with the sounds of hands clapping and whistling Derek pulled his wife into his arms and kissed her passionately.
"As they pulled apart Derek said, "I love you", she rested her forehead against his and said, "and I love you handsome, now and forever", Fran smiled as she watched the newlyweds intertwine fingers and start making their way back up the aisle to head over to the reception tent.
