An Ultimate Betrayal-Ch 29
Over the next few months Derek and Penelope adjusted to life as a married couple and on the upcoming birth of their first child. Derek, Dave, Reid and Hotch worked on the nursery for baby Morgan while Penelope, Fran and the girls worked on getting things that would be needed too put into the nursery.
Penelope was now 7 1/2 months along and feeling great, she loved being pregnant, she had so much energy and couldn't seem to get enough of her husband. JJ looked over at Penelope and smiled as she remembered feeling the same way about Spencer when she was pregnant with Henry.
Fran had been keeping a close eye on Penelope, she didn't want her daughter-in-law to take any chances or do anything that might hurt her or the baby. Penelope was currently sitting on the couch looking at the baby clothes they had received at the baby shower.
Penelope had gotten so much stuff that the baby wouldn't have to worry about very much of anything for quite a while. Emily glanced over at her friend and saw her grab her side and wince in pain, she was quickly by Penelope's side.
Emily said, "are you alright PG"?, Penelope said, "yeah, yeah, I'm fine it's just that the baby is really active today" and as JJ opened her mouth to speak Penelope winced in pain again. Fran said, "honey how often have you been having pains like that"?, Penelope said, "the baby has been active since I got up this morning".
JJ looked at Emily and Fran and then back at Penelope and said, "did your water break"?, Penelope shook her head and said, "nope, why, you don't think I'm going into labor do you"?, Fran sat down beside Penelope and said, "no honey we don't think you're trying to go into labor, we think you're already in labor and that you have been in labor all day".
Penelope stood up and said, "that's silly, I can't pos" and then a flood of warm liquid hit the floor and Penelope said, "ohhhh nooooo". Emily said, "I'll go get Morgan" and she headed for the stairs, going as fast as she could.
JJ said, "alright, we need to get you changed and grab your suitcase and get you to the hospital as soon as possible", Penelope nodded her head and as they started heading toward the stairs Derek ran down them and said, "Emily said it's time, is it time, is it really time"?, Penelope kissed him gently and said, "yes daddy, it's time, it's time to meet our babyyyyyyyy" and then she started dropping to the floor.
Derek quickly wrapped his arms around her and picked her up, Fran said, "get her upstairs and lay her down, something tells me we're not going to have time to get her to the hospital", Derek nodded his head yes as he started carrying Penelope up the stairs.
Once Fran entered the bedroom she quickly checked Penelope and said, "alright, I need a few things, I need something to wrap the baby in, something to cut the cord with and I need somebody to call 911 and get them started this way".
Penelope said, "I thought we didn't have time to get me to the hospital", Fran looked at her scared daughter-in-law and said, "we don't, by the time they get here my grandbaby will already be here" causing Derek to look at his wife and smile.
Reid ran into the room and said, "is their anything I can do to help"?, Fran said. "yes please get everybody back downstairs and see were the things I asked for are". Reid said, "alright, everybody but Fran, Garcia and Morgan out, Fran needs room to work"
JJ smiled and said, "I love you Garce", Penelope smiled and said, "I love you too Jayje" as she watched the rest of her family walk out of the room. As Sarah and Desi walked down the stairs they grabbed their phones to call and let Patrick, Paul and Payton know that baby Morgan was on the way.
