"Hey Bakugo!" Kirishima exclaimed, running over to greet the blonde.

"Hey." He said in a somewhat muffled tone. This didn't faze Kirishima in the least, and he wrapped him in a hug.

"I have not seen you in forever!" He said, lifting Bakugo's feet from the ground and swinging him around.

"I swear, put me down." Bakugo growled.

Kirishima took the hint and set him on the ground.

"So what's up with you?" The red-head asked, looking up at him with his trademark grin.

"Nothing really." He said, dusting off things that weren't there from his jacket and staring back up at him.

The blonde stood nearly a head taller than the other, but friendship wasn't measured in size, he reminded himself.

"What's going on in your life?" He asked, kicking a pebble and watching it skid to the other side of the street.

"Well, I got a job at a hero agency. They said I would be perfect," he answered, smiling at him.

Kirishima stared up at him, then around at the empty street around them. "Where are the others?"

Bakugo smiled at his naivety. "They left. We all have our own lives now, you know."

Kirishima smiled nervously. "I've been gone for too long..."

Bakugo looked up at the sky, as he replied," You think?"

It was true. Kirishima had been gone for almost two years, and most of the "BakuSquad" was gone now. Kamanari still came around sometimes, but other than that, Bakugo was alone.

At least he and Deku had come to terms. They had agreed their feud was for nothing, but Bakugo said he was still calling him Deku. It would be weird not to.

Deku had nodded, as in he understood. Then he had left, and they hadn't spoken since.

All of his classmates were the same way. They had all drifted away from him, which he didn't blame them for, if he was being honest.

He was so lost in thought that he didn't realize Kirishima was speaking.

"-and Mei's there. She finally got in after showing off every gadget she had. I don't blame them really. She's pretty cool. And then-"

"Whoa whoa whoa. Hold on. Let's go to my apartment or something. Weird having a conversation in the streets." Bakugo laughed, putting his arm around Kirishima's shoulder and leading him out of the street.

"It's not the best place, being honest here, but it's been home since you've been gone."

Kirishima smiled. "Good enough for you, good enough for me."

Bakugo laughed,"We'll see."

They soon arrived at his apartment, at which Kirishima widened his eyes.

"This is your place?" He asked in disbelief.

"I mean, hey, not being accepted by a hero agency didn't do much for me." Bakugo waved off any questions with a flick of his hand.

Truly, the place needed some work. There was trash littering the yard, and the grass was brown, and dead looking.

Kirishima shuddered as he walked on the path beside Bakugo.

"You good bro?" Bakugo asked him as they stepped into the home.

"Yeah.." he answered.

"I swear, the inside is not nearly as horrible as the outside."

"Ok..."

It wasn't. The inside looked completely different, and actually looked like someone could live there.

There was a couch, a chair, and a small fireplace in fhe living room. Farther on, he could see a kitchen, and a hallway. He assumed every other room was down the hall.

"So, we gonna call the squad?" Kirishima joked as he gently poked him in the side with his elbow.

"Already did. Kamanari said he'd be down in a few days. Work, you know? And Mina is on a vacation in America, so that's something else..."

Kirishima looked down at the floor, thoughts running through his head at a mile a minute.

His friends had all moved on without him. How was that possible? Had he really been gone that long?

"What about Sero?" He asked, almost too afraid of the answer to speak up.

"Oh, he's here!" Bakugo answered, and Kirishima felt arms go around his neck.

"Hey!" He exclaimed, trying to push the intruder off, laughing.

"Good to see you again." Sero smiled.

"Yeah, surprised you're even still here." Kirishima turned around to look at him.

"Bakugo didn't tell you? Well, he-"

"SHUT UP!" Bakugo all of a sudden screamed, the looked down at the floor, covering his face with his hands.

"That is for me to share, not you." He shouted again, and then he stormed outside, slamming the door behind him.

"Is he ok?" Kirishima asked, a little shaken by all of the chaos.

"He's fine, just needs time." Sero sighed.

"Meanwhile, I can show you your room! We tried to make it as Kirishima like as possible." Sero smiled.

"Yeah," Kiri said, every now and then glancing at the door.

Was he ok? Did he need help?

He heard something shatter on the wall, and he now knew where all of the trash came from.

He followed Sero to the back of the hallway, the entire time thinking of what to do.
