Hey Y'all I know that I have not been updating this at all so that is something that I am going to try and do. Also, I am still trying to figure out where I want to take this story so, please beer with me. and to add to that I am by no means a writer by trade so I am figuring out how to do this as I go. that's all see y'all around.
Six shifted his gaze from the window and caught up to the group led by Lord Hood. Knowing that the ODST's were still behind him he did not need to glance behind him to confirm it. Walking for several more minutes Six was starting to wonder where they were being led to.
Finally arriving at a large room, they followed Lord Hood into it. Six was not surprised to find that the room already had a number of people in it. While Lord Hood and Captain jones sat down in the chairs around the table Six just stood off to the side knowing that his weight would buckle the chair. Once everyone that could fit into a seat had done so Lord Hood turned towards a man who looked to be in his late thirties or early forties.
"Masters Guns take these to ODST's and have them go through medical then assigned to a new team time now."
"Yes sir, I'll get it done."
The Master's Guns looks at Rash and skitter and spoke.
"You two follow me and I'll see to it that you are put back where you belong now to get moving."
Both of the young ODST's leaped to their feet and rushed out of the room and left before the master Guns could do anything to put the fear of God into the two of them. Once the three Marines were gone Lord Hood looked back at Captain jones and studied the man for only a moment and then spoke.
"Captain as I understand it you were to provide the UNSC Piller of Autumn with support until they could leave Reach and get to Us safely. So why did you stay around with the covenant in force like they were?"
"Sir once the Autumn had left Reach and entered slip space, we felt it only right to stay in the system as long as we could and pick up anybody that was trying to leave reach on a ship that did not have a slip-space drive. Good thing we did or Noble Six would have been left on Reach to have been glassed by the covenant sir."
Lord Hood shifted his gaze from Captain Jones to Six and the sudden attention from a number of the people in the room had six slightly uneasy. Though six would never let it show in his body language.
Lord Hood then spoke to him.
"Noble Six from what records we have from Reach and the Autumn you had stayed on Reach to cover the Autumn as it left with the package that you had delivered to it is that right?"
"Yes sir. When Noble team was tasked with the demolition of Castle Base, we were instead there to retrieve a package from . She gave me the Package saying that it had chosen me to deliver it to the Piller of Autumn. Once I had done so I had to say behind and man the Mass Driver and destroy A covenant Battle-cruiser and that prevented me from being on the Autumn when it left Reach sir."
"Son that still does not explain how you managed to find two lone ODST's out in the wild and find a pelican and made your way to the Jon Paul Jones, could you fell in the blanks now Noble six."
"Sir once The Autumn was safe and had left the Reach, I went out into the countryside had regulated myself to a last stand. I Had killed a battalion worth of covenant ground troops before I came across the two ODST's. Once I had found them, I swore that I would get them off of Reach and back to earth somehow."
Six took a moment to gather the rest of his thoughts before he continued to speak.
"We three made out way back to the shipyards and were able to find a pelican that was space worthy. Once was airborne, I took us up into the soap and just so happened to have the Jon Paul Jones. I made contact with the ship and the rest is in the report that I have ready to hand over sir."
Lord hood seemed to think over the story that Noble Six had giving. There was not a doubt in his mind that the spartan was telling the truth. Deciding that it was in fact the truth until told otherwise he decided that he would go back to working under the army under Colonel Holland had survived Reach and was on Earth and still in charge of Spec Warfare Group Three. Noble Six would go back to him.
"Ok Noble Colonel Holland is still alive and last I checked you still belong to him so he is who you will report to? Is that clear spartan "
"Yes sir, Understood"
With that Six left the room and followed someone who took six to one of the many rooms on the ODP and told him to wait for the colonel to come and get him. With six just simply nodding at him. Six was content to just waiting and thinking about what this means. With Holland still alive that would mean that six would go back to ONI anytime soon for which he was really grateful. Though he was not sure what he would be doing next. For sure prepare for the covenant and hope that they could beat them back.
Six had his back to the door thinking when it opened causing six to turn and see that Holland had indeed walked into the room. This caused six to snap to attention and give a salute.
For his part holland visibly let out a sigh and gave a small smile. Then he gave six a salute as well.
"Noble Six damn good to see that your still around and kicking."
"As am I sure though the covenant sure tried to take me out, sir."
"I heard, and I am sure glad they failed, walk with being Noble."
Holland turned and walked out and six followed rights behind him.
"I'm not going to lie to you Leftenant we are going to need you when the boggy man comes knocking at our door here. The army personal that was able to escape reach and all a mess and trying to get anything done to fix it is damn hard right now. It's the same with the navy from what I can tell. Though I got Lucky."
"How so sir" Six shifted his helmet to look at holland and waited for an answer.
"Well first because i have you starters and for another, I also have another spartan that will join your team."
"My team sir, and what other spartan?"
Before Holland spoke, they had entered into a hanger and stalked towards and boarded a pelican headed to the surface.
"First you going to be in charge of a new team of Spartans. The main reason that you're going to be in charge of this team is because of how well you worked with Noble on reach and you have the experience that will see this team through battle and hopefully beyond that."
Holland took and moment to collect himself before he started again.
"Seconded the other spartan is A344. She was going to replace Noble four in case he had to undertake another Innie operation. She was not on reach at the time that the covenant attacked. She was doing anti-Innie ops at the time."
"Is she a lone wolf sir?"
"No, she works well with a team she was just had different skills that made it unwise for her to be on noble all the time. She is excellent at intelligence gathering, and since A320 was already in that spot we felt that she could be used elsewhere. And onto that, she is a very good assaulting and nearly as aggressive as noble four was but unlike noble four is able to curb that when needed. Trust me Six she is just as good as any of the Spartans that you served with on noble."
"Roger that sir. Though sir Noble had six personals, so far this team so far has two where are there others going to come from?"
"That is something that I am working on so far. We were able to grab some Spartans III's from onyx before we lost contact with them. Your sill meat them when we get to the surface."
"Sir and what is this team called?"
Holland looked at Six and gave him a grin.
"Were just calling your team the Wardens"
Six shifted his gaze to his front and smiled in his helmet wardens six liked that.
