And now, the main story piece begins, it has been hinted all along that these are the "Adventures of Lara Croft"!

Day 20. Jungle

It's another sporting day for Lara Croft. She stands atop a mud hill, soaking wet under the rainfall. She's heard news on a rather peculiar tribe of an origin different to those of Native Indians and Hindus. She starts sliding on the mud slope, and performs a roll jump. Some spikes have been set up along the area. She's nearing the ruins of the Infada tribe.

After crossing an old wall of perhaps a bigger and collapsed structure, Lara is forced to confront the fact that being in the jungle means you'll never be alone. "Big cats!" Lara thinks while drawing her 9mm dual pistols. The tigers attack as fast as they can, and Lara gracefully dodges them, in spite of being slowed down by the mud.

The further Lara advances, the clearer it gets that either the jungle advances faster than man can fathom, or the Infada tribe were exceptional at making their architecture and the jungle feel seamless. That is until she arrives at a small creek, looking more akin to a man made hydraulics system. At one end of the creek, a small waterfall. To the other end, an entrance to an ancient temple.

Only that the entrance is locked from within, and Lara dives into the creek to find an adjacent entrance. She finds one through an opening eroded by water. The temple's candles are lit, as if people still lived there. It's only mold at the Hindu-themed temple walls which give testimony of the passing of time. Such a hydraulics system must have some levers to operate it, and Lara finds them.

After a bit of tweaking, Lara gets the gist of the system and manages to raise the water level. The changes to the water level allow Lara to reach new heights, and new chambers of the Infada temple. She ascends until she reaches a roof in which a key lies on the floor. "Nice place to lose a key," Lara thinks. Apparently losing keys was also a meme in Ancient times.

Lara sees afar a big gate covered in mud. She uses her binoculars to look at the gate in detail, and finds a keyhole suiting the key. So she dives into the mud patch, which at some parts is suffocating, and in others allows her to breathe. After a bit of hustle, Lara gets to the big door, and opens it. The door unlocks, but doesn't open. It's stuck in the mud. But now, it can be pushed, and after leveraging with the help of her axe, Lara manages to pass through the gate.

And so, the night falls. A name is called on the radio. "Tony… Tony…" it is heard through the radio. "I know you're there, you loon…" The man being called, a blond man with full tan, and rastas, is walking from tent to tent as if he had taken a whole whisky bottle by himself. "What do you want from me now?" he asks. A deep, british woman's voice gives the unexpected answer. "Well, nothing that taxing… Are you alright?"

For him it's not just one, but many voices bouncing around his head. "If you'd all stop?" Lara repeats verbatim. "Who are you talking about?" Lara's voice keeps banging Tony's head like a hammer. "All you," he answers. "Hundreds of you, talking… chattering… breaking up my brain." Lara looks calmly at Tony and the temple ahead. "Well, I'm not quite sure where you're coming from, but I just want to know about the Infada artifact in the temple up there," she says.

"Voodoo magic and all huh?" Tony says. "I don't touch the stuff myself." A big fat lie is what Lara smells. "It's not voodoo," Lara says. "Look, is there anyone else here with you?" Lies and madness still make her cringe, in spite of facing them regularly. "Randy… Rory…" he answers, while looking even more lost. He starts putting all his gear in a metallic trunk, while giving a bad, bad omen to her. And among the items, a peculiar thing wrapped in a piece of cloth.

He jumps off a cliff into the mud, after laughing for a while. With all the madness and the bad omens, Lara simply lets an important detail slide before her own nose. One that should save her lots of trouble. But well, she learns things the hard way, doesn't she?
