*Thank-you for the reviews on the last chapter, they were greatly appreciated. Thank-you for your patience, I am going to school for my degree so it's actually keeping me busy so I am tryin go update when I can. Please enjoy*
A Few Weeks Later:
In the early hours of the morning before my children wake up, before my husband wakes up, I sit on the side of the tub waiting for the results of my pregnancy test to be revealed. I have been down this road many times before, the first time when I was 17 years old, that was the scariest test of my life and the results even scarier. Dean and I took all the right precautions, a broken condom was to blame for that surprise, but I wouldn't change a thing. I was in this same spot at 28 years old, waiting for the pregnancy test results for Oliver, then again, a year later as I waited for the results when it came to Bennett and then once again, the time I thought would be the last a couple years ago when I got the positive results for Ace. I can't say that I am surprised this time, Dean and I weren't really being careful, and we did talk about making a baby, it's just I didn't expect it to happen this soon. I let out a deep breath as I stand up, I pick the digital test up off the sink; PREGNANT, the screen reads. I don't know how to feel but I feel a little excited, a little nervous and a little scared knowing we are going down this road again. I wash my hands and take the test out to my bedroom. I tuck it away into one of my drawers before I get back into bed with Dean. "You're up early," he says to me as he wraps his arms around me.
"I just needed to use the bathroom," I say.
"Were you sick again?" he asks knowing that for the last week or, so I have been sick, not nauseous sick at first just cold and sinus sick, that later became nausea, almost like when I was pregnant with Natalia.
"No, just needed to use the bathroom," I say snuggling up to him, "did you notice that we didn't have our nightly visitor last night."
"I noticed," he smiles. "Maybe we can finally get our bed to ourselves again. Then we wouldn't have to rush making a baby and we can enjoy each other longer at night."
"I don't know," I say, "hopefully, this is every night for Ace but I don't know. I think we just got lucky last night."
"Probably," he says with a smile. "I can't wait to have another one. I know that Oliver and Ace can be a handful, but I love the idea of having another baby with you."
"Oh yeah?" I ask with a smile.
"Yeah, we still need one more girl, so hopefully we have a girl when it happens, then she can be the last one. I'm getting old."
"You are not getting old," I say. "You're only 34 years old, you are not old."
"My body feels like I am 70 sometimes," he says, "I feel old. Remember when we were the youngest parents in the daycare and the school, now when we have the next one and when Ace goes to school, we'll be the oldest parents."
"I don't know, I feel like here in Connecticut there are a lot of older parents vs the younger parents because so many successful people here in Connecticut waited until 28-30 to have their children."
"I guess you're right," he says. "I don't think age really matters when it comes to being a parent. We were young parents but that didn't make us any less than someone 10 years older than us, Natalia was taken care of and cared for, you are a great mom."
"Thanks, you're a great dad," I smile before he kisses my lips softly. "I love you."
"I love you too," he says before kissing me again.
Later that Day:
After I get my older kids off to school Ace and I venture out to the store while Jon is working at the gym he owns with Roman. He's been putting in more time there since he left WWE and until he finds something else to do, he is using this time to focus on training wrestlers to become WWE superstars one day. It's something he has always said that he wanted to do if he left WWE. I'm proud of his accomplishments. "What are we doing, mommy?" asks Ace looking at me with his beautiful blue eyes and long eyelashes.
"Mommy is getting you a new shirt so that we can go surprise Daddy at work for lunch today, how does that sound?" I ask him.
"Good," he says, "I want a truck shirt."
"Well, I was thinking of a shirt with words on it, Ace," I say, "but we can find you a truck shirt while we are here." I walk into the Children's Place so that I can find him a Big Brother shirt. I have this plan to surprise Jon at work with lunch and Ace. Hopefully Jon notices Ace's shirt but I also kind of want to put the pregnancy test in the box with a onesie, and some other baby things with a note for Jon. I never really got the chance to do something fun and special for my other pregnancies. I went to a free clinic and found out I was pregnant without Jon when I was 17 years old, he came home drunk that night and I told him the news, so it wasn't anything special. With Oliver, I was just so excited that I couldn't wait to tell Jon the news, I took him to the bathroom and showed him the test. With Bennett, it was a big shock a month after our honeymoon in Europe, it was a big surprise that when Jon found out he nearly fainted because we had just had Oliver a few months earlier, he was with me when I took that test. With Ace, it was another surprise, we weren't expecting to have a baby in fact I went to the hospital with a broken foot and left knowing I was pregnant. Jon and I couldn't believe it. I want this time to be special and something positive since this will be our last baby. Ace and I walk through the store to the toddler boy section, but we are disappointed when I don't find what I am looking for, so we go to the next children's clothing store hoping they have what I am looking for.
Luckily, I do find a shirt that I like. I pull the green shirt with a tractor on it that says, "Can you dig it, I'm going to be a Big Brother." I hold it up to Ace, "what do you think, Buddy, do you like this shirt?"
"Yes, the truck! What it say?" he asks.
I smile and say, "it says, 'Can you dig it, I'm going to be a big brother."
"A big brother?" he asks looking up at me with his beautiful eyes he got from his father.
"Big brother," I say with a smile. "You're going to be a big brother," I say, "Mommy has a baby in her belly."
"Oh," he says as if he is unphased by the news. He is only 2 going on 3 so I don't think he grasps the concept, but he will eventually. I move on to find a little onesie for the baby. I finally find a onesie that I like that says New to the Crew, it works perfectly. I look around for a baby blanket, baby bottle, burp cloths and a little sleeper to put in my gift for Jon before I go to pay for everything. I have to admit I am pretty excited about this baby, while I want the baby to be healthy because that is the most important thing but I am also hoping for a baby girl. I love my boys but after 3 boys I am ready for a baby girl, so obviously I did put a lot of focus on the baby girl stuff hoping to be able to buy little headbands, dresses and lots of pink again, not that boys can't wear pink but my boys do not like pink and they are so rough. I need another girl especially with Natalia going to college next year.
Once I get everything paid for, Ace and I head back to the house so that I can get everything ready for Jon. I pick up my cell and call Jon to see what he would like for lunch. "Hey, Beautiful," he says making me smile.
"Hey," I say, "I was wondering if you wanted to do lunch today? Or are you free to do lunch today?"
"Actually, I was just getting ready to call you, I wanted to talk to you about something over lunch, so yeah lets do lunch."
"Perfect," I say with a smile, "I have something I want to talk to you about also."
"Sounds good."
"What do you want me to bring for lunch?"
"I'll take care of lunch, you just come with Ace."
"All right, Baby. I love you."
"I love you too," he says making me smile. "I will see you soon."
"See you soon," I say before we hang up the phones. I get everything ready to take to lunch and even put Ace into his new shirt, but I put a little hoodie over it so that Jon doesn't see it right away. I do want some element of surprise for Jon.
About an hour later, Ace and I arrive at the gym. I walk in with the gift and say hi to some of Jon's friends before making my way to his office. Ace and I stop outside his door and I knock on it just in case he's in a meeting. "Come in," he says. I walk in with Ace and see our lunch on the table. "Hey, Gorgeous," he says with a smile as he greets me with a kiss.
"Hey," I say with a smile.
"Daddy!" says Ace with a smile.
"What's up, Buddy," says Jon as he scoops Ace up in his arms.
"We got present," he says proudly.
"You got a present?" Jon asks looking at me.
"Yes," I say, "we got you a present today but we'll get to that later, what's for lunch, I'm hungry."
"Someone is feeling better," he says with an amused smile, "and looking radiant I must say. You are definitely glowing."
"I am feeling somewhat better and I am hungry, so what's for lunch?" I ask.
He lets out a soft chuckle and says, "I got us some Italian food, just some chicken alfredo, ciabatta bread for us and I got Ace some spaghetti."
"Mm, sounds good," I say.
"I know it's a lot of carbs," he says, "but it was quick and easy, just the way you like it," he winks.
"Shut up," I say with a smile. It's amazing that 17 years later this man can still make me blush and still make my heart skip a beat. He's still my everything.
"Oh you know it's true," he smiles.
"Sometimes," I say with a smile.
"Uh huh," he smiles back as we make our way to the table. We take a seat, I cut up Ace's spaghetti while Jon gets our food ready. "So how do you feel about Alexander staying with us?"
"I actually like him there, he's a great help," I say. "Is that what you wanted to talk to me about?"
"That and something else," he says.
"Okay," I say as I allow Ace to start eating before I start to eat the food Jon gives to me. "So what about Alexander?"
"How do you feel about becoming foster parents to him? I know he's in the system or supposed to be in the system, he doesn't have much time left but until then what if we became his foster parents, would you be okay with that?"
"I don't have any reservations with that, he's a good kid. He's a big help around the house and the kids just adore him. I am not opposed to being a foster parent but don't we have to go through some process?"
"Yeah, we have to go through a home study, which we will pass just fine, background checks, my record is clean everything was erased so that should be good, we will probably have to take some classes but I think we can do this. Alexander likes being with us, so I think we should foster him."
"Okay," I nod, "that sounds good. I think he deserves a home and I want to give that to him."
"Me too," he says, "he is a great kid, and I am hoping we can get him back into school."
"I agree, he needs to go to school."
"Exactly," he says, "so I'm going to talk to him about it and see what he thinks about it if he's not for it then we won't foster but I do want to see where he is with school and if he wants to do private or public school."
"Can we afford another private school tuition?" I ask.
"We can afford anything," he says with a smile.
"But you and I are talking about having a baby, and we have Ace would we be able to afford it?"
"Yes," he says, "that is something else I wanted to talk to you about."
"Money?" I ask. "Or the baby?"
He lets out a deep breath and says, "as much as I want to have another baby and I know you want to have another baby I think we should put it on hold for a couple months," he says.
I nearly choke on my food, he wouldn't say that unless something happened, something big and life changing was about to happen in his life. Jon is ALWAYS the one that wants to try for a baby and to have a baby while it takes me a little longer to get on board with the idea, so I know he's about to tell me something that's going to change our lives. "I think it could be a little late for that, but why do you want to put it on hold for a couple months?" I ask.
"Well," he says, "Tony Khan has reached out to me."
"Tony Khan?" I ask the name not ringing a bell.
"The owner of AEW," he says.
I nod, "okay, so what did he reach out to you about?" I ask.
"What do you think, Ana, I am done with WWE and my 30 day clause is up."
"He wants you to wrestle for AEW huh?" I ask.
He nods, "he is offering to pay me a lot of money to wrestle for them and I do want to wrestle but it's up to you. If you want to have this baby, I can put it on the back burner for now and we can add to our family."
"How much is he offering to pay you?" I ask.
"6 million dollars," he says, and I nearly choke.
"6 million dollars?" I ask, "is that a joke?"
He shakes his head, "No it's not a joke but he is offering me 6 million to take a position in the company. I mean I am thinking about it. I told him I was going to talk to you and get back to him, the only problem is AEW is based in Florida."
"Are you saying we are going to need to relocate to Florida?" I ask.
He lets out a breath and says, "yeah, we are probably going to need to go to Florida and relocate to Jacksonville."
"Eh, I love Connecticut so much and what about this school? Roman moved his family up here so that you could run this school together, would you ask him to relocate or what?"
"I don't know, I wanted to talk to you first, see where you were at with it, what you thought. Then I plan to talk to Roman. I was thinking that if I do take this job, we locate to Florida that maybe we could move the school to Florida, I know Roman was thinking of moving back to Florida anyway. So, what are you thinking, what are your thoughts, Ana?"
"I have supported you in everything you ever did, every choice you have made and been by your side no matter what, this is your decision to make, what do you want to do? Do you want to take this job and relocate to Florida, I don't like the idea of relocating to Florida because I do love Connecticut and this is Natalia's senior year of high school coming up so she's going to be pissed about that but I don't want to live apart again, I don't want to live two separate lives again so if we need to relocate that's what we need to do, I'm not working right now and I don't think I am going to be back to work any time soon and with 6 million, I don't think it makes a difference. What do you want to do, where's your heart at, Jon?"
"I really want to do this, Ana. AEW is everything that WWE is not. I can be a little bit more hardcore than I was in WWE, and I can be myself more. I think I want to do this and take the job. I will always love wrestling, I love training, but I love being inside the ring. I don't have too many more years left to wrestle, but I want to do this and go to AEW. It's not about the money, wrestling never was for me, it's something I am passionate about, something that I love. I used to love WWE at one time, but the backstage politics were bad, we didn't see eye to eye on my career, and I couldn't be who I wanted to be, in AEW I can be who I want to be, I am free to be my usual hardcore self."
"I mean if this is what you want to do, Jon, then go for it. As your wife and the mother of your children, I will support you no matter what. I have never not supported you, so I guess we better start looking for a place in Florida to live."
"I mean unless you want to move back to Cincinnati," he says.
"I'd rather cut my toe off than move back to that God forsaken town with those people that made our lives hell. Florida it is."
"I would NEVER go back to Cincinnati, going there for WWE was enough."
"I haven't been back since our 10-year high school reunion, and I don't plan to go back."
"I would never live there again," he says, "so I guess we better start looking for some real estate in Florida."
"I guess so," I say with a smile. I love living in Connecticut, it's the place Jon and I first bought our house together, we have so many memories here. The schools up here are amazing, Natalia is going into her senior year so I know I am not looking forward to telling her that we will be moving to Florida for Jon to go to work for another wrestling promotion, but I remember the 10 years of our relationship that Jon and I lived two separate lives and how hard it was. I would NEVER be able to do that now with 4 almost 5 kids, no way.
"Daddy," says Ace interrupting our conversation. "Me shirt."
"Me shirt?" asks Dean.
"Yeah, me shirt," he says pulling at the zipper of his hoodie.
"What about your shirt buddy?" he asks.
"I think he's trying to tell you he got a new shirt," I say.
"Is that what you are trying to tell me, Ace, did you get a new shirt?"
"Yes," he nods. "New shirt."
"Oooh, what kind of shirt is it?"
"Truck," he says. "See, Daddy."
"I would love to see your shirt," says Jon making me smile. He has always been an amazing father even when we became parents at 17. He made some bad decisions in his life, but becoming a father was not one of them, becoming a father changed him and even though he slipped up and needed to get some extra help a few years ago, he has always done the best that he can do for our kids.
"Okay, Daddy," says Ace with a smile. "Present," he says.
"A present?" he asks.
"Yeah," says Ace.
"We went out and got you a present," I say with a smile. "And I think you're going to love it."
"Okay," he says with a smile. I hand him the present first before I get Ace's hoodie off. "This is a big gift," he says looking at the bag.
"Just wait to see how BIG it is," I smile.
"Ana," he says as he goes to open the present. I watch him open the box slowly. He pulls out the onesie that says New to the Crew, followed by the cloud sleeper I got for the baby, the bibs, burp cloth and the bottle from the box. "Ana," he says.
"Me shirt," says Ace.
"Let me see that shirt, Buddy," he says. Ace proudly shows Jon his shirt. "Can you dig it? I'm going to be a big brother," he says before he looks at the gift I got him. He looks at me with a smile on his face, he knows as he keeps going. He unwraps the pregnancy test and finally says, "You're pregnant?"
"We're pregnant, we're having another baby. I found out this morning," I say with a smile.
"Wow," he says making his way to me. "A baby, that was fast."
"Yeah, it usually happens pretty quickly for us sometimes," I say with a smile.
"Very quickly," he says wrapping me up in his arms. "I love you, Ana."
"I love you too," I say with a smile before he kisses my lips softly. "Congratulations, Daddy of 5. You're still my favorite person to make a person with."
He smiles and kisses my lips again, "Can I please get another girl this time?" he asks making me smile.
"So, you're happy?" I ask.
"Extremely happy," he says with a smile, "but the last one."
"For sure," I say, "I'm 35 years old, no more babies after this one."
"Yeah, I think 5 is good."
"Agreed," I say with a smile, "I'm excited!"
"Me too," he says with a smile, "Baby number 5, I guess you are my favorite person to make a person with."
"I told you there would be a lot of little persons," I smile.
"I am blessed and glad. When are you due?"
"I'm not sure, if my calculations are right, probably the end of December beginning of January. I have a doctor's appointment on Friday. We should know more then."
"Okay," he says with a smile. "Baby number 5 is coming!"
"There's no going back now, so many life changes happening at once but like everything else we will get through it."
"We always do," he smiles.
*a/N: what did you think of this chapter? What do you think about Ana being pregnant? What about Dean wanting to foster Alexander and getting a job offer from AEW, do you think that he should take it and that it's a good idea that they relocate to Florida? Please review and thank-you for reading. Should I keep this story going, do you want more?
