Super Smash Bros Ultimate: A Grunty Tale
Fake Reveal trailer for Super Smash Bros Ultimate. The longtime nemesis of the bear and bird, will soon give them their final word! MAJOR SPOILERS for Sora as the final DLC FIGHTER!
[I don't own Super Smash Bros, Kingdom Hearts, or any other Nintendo series in this fanfic.]
FOREWARN: MAJOR SPOILERS for Sora [from Kingdom Hearts] entering SSBU as the FINAL DLC fighter, #82! Read at your own risk.
We begin in Spiral Mountain, where Banjo & Kazooie were in a battle with Sephiroth, Donkey Kong, Mario, Link, and Kirby.
SUDDENLY!
A pink blast suddenly came outta nowhere, blasting Sephiroth off the stage.
And another pink blast struck Mario.
And another struck Donkey Kong.
2 more pink blasts struck Link and Kirby simultaneously.
And now, the stage was empty, apart from Banjo & Kazooie.
Suddenly, a powerful, yet familiar cackle, filled the air above them.
and then, a figure flew fast towards them.
Banjo & Kazooie stared, jaws hanging, when they saw who it was coming toward them:
It was their long-time wicked witch arch-enemy - Gruntilda Winkybunion!
CHARACTER SPLASH: 'GRUNTILDA CASTS A SPELL!'
GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE: [Background Music: 'Final Boss' from Banjo-Kazooie]
On the OMEGA form of 3D Land, Gruntilda appeared on the stage out of a dark silhouette of her head, and got to battling Lucario and Greninja, still on her broomstick.
On Spiral Mountain, Grunty appeared in front of Banjo & Kazooie, and the two of them went into a battle, like they did about 23 years ago.
On Great Bay, Grunty then battled Link, Toon Link, and Sheik, sending them flying, and she blocked Young Link with her Shield, the same one from her final battle in Banjo-Kazooie.
Grunty then appeared on Town and City, with 3 other Gruntys, each in palette swaps that referenced her sisters, Brentilda, Mingella, and Blobbelda.
On Kongo Jungle 64, Sora faced off against Grunty in her Skeleton form, the form she had in Banjo-Tooie. As he jumped up high, Grunty used her broomstick to fly up to that height, and clobber him good.
With her broomstick, Gruntilda dashed over the track on Mario Circuit [Brawl].
Then, Gruntilda battled against Terry, Min Min, and Kirby on a stage based on her twisted quiz board, Grunty's Furnace Fun.
On Shadow Moses Island, Snake was ambushed by Mecha-Grunty, the robotic form of Grunty, from the GBA game Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge.
Then Grunty, in her Skeleton form, was in a battle against Steve, Alex, Zombie, and Enderman on Minecraft World. She attacked a Smash Ball and broke it. Glowing with rainbow energy, she flew upwards, and then appeared in the Hag 1, which fired missiles, lasers, attacked with the spinning drill, and filled the stage with poison gas. 8 seconds afterwards, the Hag 1 exploded, sending Steve, Alex, Zombie, and Enderman flying.
Banjo & Kazooie, knocked down to the ground, stared up at Grunty, who raised her arms, and prepared the powerful spell, the same spell that killed Bottles in Banjo-Tooie.
Then they heard Gruntilda say,
'In 11 years, your time has finally come,
Foolish bear and bird, I've finally won!
This spell will surely see your fate,
For when you're gone, it will be great!"
Then, Grunty fired the blast, making the screen go black, with the copyright info appearing onscreen.

Moveset:
Standing attack: A three-hit slap combo.
Side Tilt: Jabs her broomstick in front of her.

Down Tilt: A quick downward strike with her broomstick.
Dash attack: dashed forwards on her broomstick
Neutral Air: Spins around
Forward Air: lunges in mid-air with her broomstick
Back Air: A backhand double leg kick
Up Air: jabs with her head in the air
Down Air: same as Link's Down Aerial move but with her broomstick
Side Smash: thrusts hard, head first.
Up Smash: Flips forward, waving the broomstick upwards
Down Smash: the broom part of the broomstick swings like a Home Run Bat.
GRABS:
Grab: Grabs the enemy with her arm.
Grab attack: Slaps the grabbed opponent
Forward Throw: Shoves the enemy away from her.
Up Throw: She uses a pulse of magic on them
Backward throw: Throws the enemy away from her.
Down throw: Same as Wario's down throw
Specials:
Neutral Special – Spell Energy: She can charge up a powerful magic blast, like she uses in her final battle in Banjo-Tooie. The speed of the spell depends on how long you charge the attack. at full charge, it becomes a lightning fast pink spell blast, that deals 25% damage if it hits.
Side Special – Broomstick Charge: Riding her broomstick, Grunty charges in the direction she's facing.
Up Special – Broomstick Flight: Grunty uses her broomstick to fly upwards
Down Special – Shield Barrier: Grunty uses a magical shield that knocks back anyone around her, and can also reflect protectiles. Once used, it has a 10 second cooldown time.
Final Smash – Hag 1: Grunty summons the Hag 1, from Banjo-Tooie, which fires missiles, lasers, and has a spinning drill, and fills the stage with poison gas to cause damage overtime. after 8 seconds, the Hag 1 explodes, damaging any fighters in the radius.
Taunts:
Up Taunt: Grunty cackles evilly
Side Taunt: Grunty holds up an Extra Life, then throws it behind her
Down Taunt: Grunty's broomstick splutters, and she hits it to get it to work.
Kirby Hat: Kirby gains Grunty's hat.
Stage:
Grunty's Furnace Fun - You fight on a Melee Final Destination-like platform high above the lava, where on the screen in the background, questions about the SSBU franchises appear on the screen. after the question, 3 glowing icons appear on the screen, and the players have to hit the right answer. Correct answers score them prizes, like items, or food, whereas wrong answers inflict damage on them.
