Ch 30 Going Home

Teddy was in St Mungo's four more weeks, getting stronger, dealing with the trauma. They needed to do a fair amount of work on the right arm to get it right. In the end there were still several ugly looking scars, but the arm functioned as it should. The leg was slowly healing, but it would need to wait a couple of months before the stub was healed enough to fit a prosthesis.

Teddy had lost most of his ability to change his appearance. With a lot of work, they made his hair to grow out a light brown, with only hints of florescent pink and blue. At least he looked like Teddy, a rather beaten up Teddy to be sure.

Victoire was with Teddy almost the entire time. She went home to get some clothes. Victoire was having none of the most conservative cover you up clothes her mother had brought over. Being sexy was healing Teddy, and felt good.

After four weeks they were ready to release Teddy. Teddy and Victoire were going to have to face the question of living arrangements. The wizard in charge said he wanted them living together, ideally married as soon as possible, but they were the people who should tell the parents. (He was treating Harry and Ginny as Teddy's parents.)

Harry and Ginny, Bill and Fleur came in the room. Teddy and Victoire were sitting on chairs side by side. Teddy had a casual short sleeve shirt on, that showed the scars on his right arm. He was wearing shorts, and had a trainer on his one good leg. You could see the stub of the other leg, and it still looked really raw but healing. Victoire was wearing a pastel dress with an empire waist, tight under the bust then spreading out from there. It was reasonably low cut in front, enough to show ample cleavage.

Victoire told her parents, "Teddy and I would like to live in one of the suites upstairs in the New Burrow or Potters New Burrow."

Bill inquired, "I thought you were coming home, Victoire."

Victoire insisted, "Home is where Teddy is."

Fleur thought, "Living together you could have baby."

"Oh, we took care of that weeks ago," Victoire bragged.

"Birth control?" asked Bill, suddenly very aware that his little girl was not a virgin any more, nor such a little girl.

"No," Victoire grinned. "We made a baby. Well, we started one."

Teddy looked at Victoire with his eyes wide. He was afraid to look at Bill and Fleur. Bill and Fleur looked at each other in shock, as did Harry and Ginny. Victoire admitted, "I'm only about four weeks pregnant, way too early to make any kind of big announcement."

"The wedding?" Fleur wondered. "I thought maybe June."

"Maybe much sooner," Victoire suggested, "Unless daddy really wants to walk a very pregnant daughter down the aisle."

Everybody looked at Teddy, who scrambled to explain, "The head healer said our love is the best thing for me, even better than chocolate. I have to say its delightful therapy. He also thought that we should sign a formal engagement contract as soon as possible."

Harry insisted, "Where do you want to live? It has to be somewhere where Teddy can stay hidden. We do not want the Pirate Witch Queen of the Caribbean to know Teddy escaped and lived." He wanted to focus on the practical matters at hand and deflect what could be a very awkward conversation about Teddy and Victoire and the baby.

Teddy suggested, "Above grandma and grandpa Weasley would be great. That way we can see my grandmother, and she can get to know her great grandchild. After I am back to work we can look for our own place. Meanwhile, I have years' worth of pay saved up."

"You're not going to lack for money," Bill replied. "There is still money left in the trust Harry set up for your education. I have way more money than I know what to do with, and I am sure we can give you a nice house for a wedding present."

"I have saved most of the money I earned," Victoire added, "living at home. Let's get Teddy and me settled in our new quarters, and then mum we have to plan a wedding. I want to be married by Christmas, so we only have a few weeks."

Fleur got a look of horror on her face. "I'impossible!" she said, her French accent deepening in her agitation, throwing her hands in the air. "I will go cinglé."

"Just think of it as a birthday party," Victoire replied, soothing her mother, "but with Teddy and my name on the cake. Nothing fancy. It's not the wedding that's important, it's the marriage."

"It has to be a very small and private wedding," Harry insisted. "Teddy must stay hidden. It is critical that the Pirate Witch Queen does not know Teddy escaped."

The wizard in charge had a calendar he gave Teddy and Victoire, with when healers from St. Mungo's would be visiting. He also had some potions for both of them, and two pages of instructions. There were spells to use daily, including the one protecting the pregnancy, others if either of them had nightmares. Finally, there was repeated the spell he had given them to use before intercourse, with instructions to make love 'daily if possible for the next month. No problem if more often.'

Victoire showed her mother the instructions on the last page, pointing out the instructions for spells before sex and then the spell for the new baby. Fleur looked at the spell, looked at Victoire, looked back at the spell, looked back at Victoire. She took out her wand and did a quick examination of Victoire. She looked at Bill with her eyes wide opened, and then mumbled in French about the coming baby, and how she and Bill were going to be grandparents, apparently Victoire's pregnancy just sinking in.

Finally, Fleur hugged both Victoire and Teddy, admitting, "So we have a formal engagement, and wedding, as soon as we can. Maybe a big reception eventually, after Teddy does not have to stay hidden."

"I will call Hermione," Harry suggested. "She can bring over a formal engagement contract, and even perform a marriage."

Harry had a brief conversation with Hermione, and then suggested, "Hermione says she can draw up a formal engagement and wedding contract, and be here tomorrow evening. Teddy and Victoire are both old enough that they do not need any permissions to get married, but the spells work better if parents and guardians sign the contract. Since Ginny and I were made Teddy's guardians we can sign the contract for Teddy's side, but it would be better if Andromeda signed it as well. Bill, Fleur, you two should sign for Victoire.

"Hermione says that the grandparent binding spells can be done at any time after the wedding. She suggests not only signing the contracts but holding the wedding tomorrow."

Fleur looked at her daughter with expressions that varied between a smirk and a glare. "I do not think they will have any problem consummating the marriage."

Teddy looked a little ashamed, but Victoire just grinned the biggest grin.

Teddy looked at the group gathered for his wedding. It was an informal group, without any wedding dress or pretense. Aunt Hermione was dressed in her usual business suit, maybe a little prettier than some of her trousers suits. The weather was colder, so Teddy thought the trousers and unconstructed jacket were wool. Harry was in his Auror uniform. Ginny wore the comfortable garments that looked like a Harpies warm up suit, covering up everything. His Aunt Ginny almost always wore long sleeves to cover up the scar on one arm that she had inflicted on herself learning to heal Sectumsempra cuts, and long trousers to cover up the scar on her leg to cover up the scar from her artificial knee. Even dresses that showed some bust and the start of that scar were long sleeve and the skirt was at least three-quarters long.

Uncle Bill (he was going to be just Bill, or dad, Teddy thought) had come from work. He must have been in meetings, because he was removing a tie, and taking off the suit jacket. Aunt Fleur was wearing a conservative dress, with subtle jewelry, so she only looked spectacular, not totally unworldly spectacular. Calling this woman mum, or grandmum, was going to be strange, despite knowing her all his life.

His grandmother Andromeda wore what you would call a conservative 'grandmum' dress, looking like a pretty and proper older woman, which Teddy reflected was what she was.

His Victoire was wearing a pretty and moderately revealing dress. Watching his lover and wife to be dressing was one of the delightful pleasures of living together, not quite as erotic as watching her undress, but close. She seemed intent on showing off her shape, and being busty when she pressed her chest against him. It was delightful, really. Teddy had to admit that Victoire was not the almost too perfect shape of her mother and sister, but she was perfect for him.

The wedding ceremony was not all that long, the signing of the document taking as much time as the saying of the spells. The only unusual part of the ceremony was when Harry, Ginny, Fleur, Bill and Andromeda said spells for children. The stars that came out of their wands overflowed, indicating a most successful and prolific spell.

Victoire grinned, bragging, "I've told Teddy for years we were going to have a dozen children."

"What does Teddy think about that?" Fleur wondered.

"I enjoyed being the oldest cousin, and enjoyed the younger cousins," Teddy replied. "I have to think I will enjoy being a father."

The three couples, along with Andromeda, took the Floo to the New Burrow. After the normal greetings of Arthur and Molly, Teddy explained, "Victoire and I would like to live in a suite above Andromeda for a while, if that is acceptable to you. I need to stay hidden until, well, I'm not sure when. Once I no longer have to stay hidden we will be able to move into our own house."

Arthur and Molly looked at each other, and Molly beamed, "Of course you can. You are welcome to stay as long as you want to stay.

"I think you need to meet someone first."

Victoire looked at Molly. "Pippa Lewis and Maria Guadalupe? I think that would be a good idea."

Molly called, and a short time later the two came into the kitchen.

"Rosa?" Teddy wondered.

Rosa nodded 'yes.' She looked at Teddy, asking by her face and bearing unspoken questions.

Teddy sadly shook his head 'no.'

Rosa's eyes were downcast, nodding in acknowledgement that something very sad had happened. She then asked, "Edwardo Wolfman? You look different."

"I'm rather a mess, but this is more how I should look. How did you escape?"

Rosa looked ashamed. "Trying to capture Cleopatra, but I guess she captured me instead. Well, it was Ginny and the healers at Hogwarts that captured me. It is a long story. This is your daughter Maria Guadalupe. We are hiding here at Molly's big house, and I guess you and your Victoire are going to be hiding with us."

Teddy looked at Victoire. "You knew?"

"Not everything, but I know you had to do immoral things to stay alive on that island. I'm not happy about it, but I guess you are not either." Victoire turned to hug Teddy hard, and had started to cry. "Rose, or Pippa, is such a nice person, and Maria, she's a child, your child. You are going to be a father to her, even if you are not a husband to Rosa."

Victoire sniffed, close to tears. "If you had died, hadn't come back, Maria was all of you I would have had left.

"I think we should live here, Teddy."

Rosa handed Teddy little Maria, and Teddy looked at his daughter for the first time. She was awake, and he looked at her face, the hair with hints of florescent colors, the face that did resemble him. Part of him wanted to hold on to this little part of himself forever, and he gently talked to her. When Maria responded Teddy smiled, happy tears flowing.

Victoire kissed Teddy, and then lovingly looked at Maria. After several minutes of holding his daughter, he reluctantly gave the baby back to Rosa, Pippa.

Teddy could not believe how complicated this was going to be, but Victoire was right. Life was going to be, he thought, good, but very complicated.

The gathered crowd went up to look at the rooms. There were individual bedrooms, but nothing like a suite of rooms for a couple with a baby on the way. The clothes closets were all of modest size.

Victoire and Fleur had some quiet conversations in French, and then talked to Molly. They then proceeded to re-design the living quarters to vastly increase the size of the clothes closet, add a nursery and office, and make a bathroom suite suitable for the couple. Victoire talked to Teddy, and they changed the color and décor of the rooms a couple of times, finally both of them agreeing that the design of the suite was fine.

It was going to take a couple of weeks to remodel the rooms.

Once all the plans were finished Teddy asked, "Where are we going to sleep until our rooms are ready?"

Fleur immediately insisted, "Come back to New Shell Cottage. You should sleep in Victoire's rooms, in Victoire's bed."

"With Victoire, Teddy," Victoire added, pointing to herself, and wiggling provocatively.

Fleur started to giggle, and then Bill giggled as well, as they held hands and looked at each other, laughing. Finally, Fleur remarked, "I remember the first time your father and I made love in MY bed in France."

"After you were married?" Victoire wondered.

"Oh, I remember THAT time as well," Fleur admitted. At this everybody giggled.

Fleur pondered, "I did not think maman knew. She did. Both times."

Bill quickly added, "We had just signed the formal engagement contract, and spent the night. There were several free bedrooms, but Fleur's mother put me in the one bedroom next to Fleur, the one that shared a bathroom."

"So we could share a bath," Fleur giggled.

"Not just a bathroom, but a bath," Bill admitted.

Fleur, Victoire and Teddy went back to New Shell Cottage, and Ginny went with them. Together they went up to the two room suite of Victoire. The rooms were as feminine as Ginny remembered them, and they smelled of Victoire. Ginny took a good look around, and then told Teddy, "Are you sure you want to stay here? It's pretty girly."

Teddy remembered a five-year-old Teddy in San Francisco. He gave Ginny a hug, and admitted, "It's very girly, mummy. I guess I can sleep in a girl's bed, as long as the girl is my best friend Victoire."

Ginny remembered, "I think the bed still has a can o' peas on it."

"Victoire," Teddy solemnly intoned, "I will even take a bubble bath with you. When I was five, and in San Francisco, I didn't want to sleep in a girly room."

"No," Ginny remembered. "You wanted to sleep in a proper married peoples' bed and do proper married peoples' things in that bed. Of course you had no idea what married people did in bed."

Teddy thought, "The only beds I'd ever seen with canopies were Victoire and Dominique's, and I didn't think married people slept in beds with canopies. I certainly didn't think boys did, until I saw the four poster beds at Hogwarts. And of course,I had no idea what married people did in a bed, with or without a canopy."

Ginny used her wand to retrieve a photograph of Teddy and the "girly car seat" between Natasha and Ginny, and another photograph of Harry and Ginny driving off in the big red Cadillac."

"What did you do after you left?" Teddy asked.

"I think we conceived James in the back seat of the Cadillac," Ginny giggled, her face showing a little embarrassment. "It was a fun night."

"Oh, Mummy, little boys don't like to hear about those things," Teddy protested.

Ginny gave Teddy a little swat. "Big boys who are about to become fathers better learn about those things. Soon enough your children will be as eager as you were to start a family."

Victoire giggled. "I guess you don't need a proper married peoples' bed to have lots of children."

"As long as you do enough proper married peoples' things," Ginny kidded.

Fleur shook her head. "I don't think we are going to have any problem there." She looked at her daughter and new son-in-law, who blushed.

"What did Pippa ask you?" Victoire asked Teddy before they went to bed that night. "I saw a very silent and, I think, tragic exchange just after you first met."

"If her children were still alive," Teddy replied. "They are not, something she suspected I am sure, but please do not ask me again."

Victoire gasped, horrified at what Teddy was implying. "Have you told Gray Blackburn?" Victoire wondered. She knew Teddy was talking to Gray twice a week, trying to deal with trauma he had experienced on Jezebel's island.

"I will," Teddy replied. "Everybody on the island is not wicked, even though you have to do wicked things to stay alive. I am glad Rosa escaped.

"I still have a hard time believing I deserve your love, Toire."

"Remember what your parents told you," Victoire insisted. "They know what you went through, what you had to do. They want you to live a long happy life with me. I just need to love all the hurts away."

Teddy and Victoire proceeded to do 'proper married things,' and it helped.

Edward Remus Lupin woke up the next morning, and looked up at the canopy of Victoire's bed. How many times had he dreamed of sleeping in this bed, dreamed of doing what he and Victoire had done last night in this bed? And here he was married, and what was forbidden before you were married was not only allowed but expected after. You signed the wedding contract, and exchanged vows, and they did the wedding spells over you, and you still were not quite married. You needed to share your bodies, a man needed to lovingly enter his wife, and she had to willing let him, to consummate the marriage.

Teddy looked over to where Victoire lay sleeping, a bump under the covers where her hips were. He arose, and using the crutches went to the loo. He used a shaving spell, and felt his face. It was nowhere as scarred as Uncle Bill's, but there were scars, and shaving with a spell was far better than trying to shave over and through the scars with a razor.

Teddy crawled back into the bed, and gently peeled back the covering. Victoire's breasts were laying one on top of the other, and he gently touched them. She smiled, enjoying Teddy playing with her body.

Victoire finally wiggled and opened her eyes thoroughly turned on and ready for Teddy. She looked at a clock next to the bed. She sighed. "Everyone is expected to appear for breakfast," she said as she arose, took her wand, and did a spell to support her breasts. She then stretched and wiggled in a way that made Teddy glad that lust was not only allowed but expected and good in this setting. Life was very good.

Victoire saw Teddy staring at her, and smiled right down to her core. She was going to live her life as a sexy and feminine wife and mother, and just relish in all her shape. Teddy deserved that. "Maybe a quick one?"

Victoire and Teddy were a little late for breakfast, but just a little.

Dan Van Lente spent a week at New Shell Cottage working with Teddy, looking at the maps and other information. As he explained the first day, "We have an office on an island close to where we know the island of the Pirate Witch Queen is located, as hidden as we can make it. We also have a couple of boats that can meet with people, although keeping any meeting secret is hard."

"I get the feeling that Cleopatra's parents Annatole and Orwant are not totally on the side of Jezebel," Teddy thought. "They spend most of their time on their boat. Have you met with them?"

"The only way we have been able to meet with then is when they are swimming, and someone meets them in the water," Dan replied. "They are on our side, but because of the spells and restrictions on what they can do it has been hard to even talk to them. There is not anything they can do until things come to a head."

"How close were you to Jezebel?" Dan wondered

"Not close enough to know what she is thinking," Teddy replied. "I do know she is really focused on Cleopatra. She knows her daughter is totally subordinate, and not a strong enough personality to be an heir. She does not trust her granddaughter Annatole. Ann's other daughter, from what I understand, is a nice little girl, but has none of the strength of personality that someone who is going to eventually lead the island needs."

"That is our impression as well," Dan replied.

Teddy and Dan spent a full week going over what each of them knew about each person that appeared on the map of the island.

The suite on the second floor was finished Thursday the sixteenth, about a week before Christmas Eve. They moved Teddy's things from the room he had been staying in at the New Burrow first. Then they went over to New Shell Cottage to move Victoire's things.

New Shell Cottage was more of a mini-mansion than a cottage, and Victoire had a sitting room and bedroom, with a large walk in closet that was full of clothes. Teddy had been in the sitting room, but never in the room with Victoire's bed, until the last couple of weeks. For as close as they had been they had never been intimate, and there was a lot about living with Victoire that Teddy had no concept of.

Finally, they were ready to go back to the New Burrow.

Harry was always delighted how quickly things could be done with magic. Two trips and all the clothes were moved and put away. To everybody else it was normal, just the way things were.

Teddy and Victoire still had to figure out where everything was, but with magic they could usually find things easily. Teddy thought this living with his best friend was going to be a very good thing.
