On July 31, 1980 Lily Poter gave birth to triplets. Two girls and a boy.

The first was named Harry James Potter. He had Bright green eyes and tuffs of black hair. His godfather was Sirius Black. James was very proud of his son and was already talking about buying him his first broom.

The second was named Avery Charlotte Potter. She had brown eyes and red hair. Her godfather was Peter Pettigrew. Out of all the babies, Avery cried the most. She seemed to have strong personality.

The third was named Calista Elizabeth Potter. Calista means "most beautiful"and she was just that. Even as a baby, she was gorgeous. Like Harry, she had bright green eyes and black hair. Her godfather was Remus Lupin. Beside being beautiful, she also had an intelligent air about her. Out of all the babies, she was the quietest.

They were the perfect family, but all that changed on Halloween, 1981.

James and lily left the triplets with a babysitter to attend a meeting for the order.

When they returned, half the house was blown out. They raced up the stairs to find all three babies in the crib and the babysitter dead on the floor. Harry had a scar on his forehead, Avery had a cut on her cheek, and Calista didn't have any scars. Lily burst out crying and hugged all three babies close as James flooed for Dumbledore. When Dumbledore arrived, he cast a spell to look at the triplets' magical cores. Harry and Calista's were significantly lower than Avery's.

Dumbledore turned to the potters and said " Avery has vanquished the dark lord, she is the girl who lived. She'll have to have special training for when Voldemort returns. " lily started crying again and James asked " What what Harry and Calista? " Dumbledore look at them sadly " I think it should be best if you sent Harry and Calista away so Avery can focus on her training. When they are eleven we can bring them back and explain everything."

Lily stopped crying and look up. "No, Albus, no. I can't give my babies up. James.." She looked at James for his support . But, the look on James face told her that James was on Dumbledore's side . This made her to cry louder. "Lily, James said "we have to spend our time with Avery, because we might not have her some day. She might lose the fight." James stopped as tears started running down his face.

" I'll take them to your sister, Lily. I'm sure they'll be well cared for. " Dumbledore reassured. Lily nodded her head, wrote her sister and kids a letter explaining everything, kissed her babies good bye, and watched as Dumbledore left with Harry and Calista in his arms. What they didn't know was that Harry and Calista's cores were lower because Harry was the boy who lived and Calista had used her magic to shield her siblings from the explosion.

This mistake would come back to haunt them.

11 Years later

Harry and Calista lived ten horrible years with the Dursleys. Harry had far more stress then any ten almost eleven year old should have. Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia made Harry and Calista do all house and yard work and barely feed them. Dudley bullied them relentlessly. Harry had to protect Calista , who the Dursleys had a special hate for. The explosion on Halloween had taken her hearing. Calista was deaf. Her magic protected her siblings, but not herself.

Because she was deaf, it made the Dursleys hate her more. To them it made her double the freak. Luckily for her, Calista had a gift. She could read thoughts. So when someone was talking, she would hear what they were saying in they're mind.

She also learned to sign. Calista could talk, but only for short periods of time. She could hold a conversation, but if it when on for to long her voice would give out. It didn't really mater. The only person she had to talk to was Harry and Harry knew how to sign

Calista was also extremely intelligent. Her teachers had tried to talk the Dursleys into letting her skip two grades, but the Dursleys , who thought Calista to be very stupid, wouldn't let her. This had enraged Harry, who hid Dudley's favorite computer game as revenge.

Harry and Calista lived like this until their eleventh birthday, when the stranger in the cloak came.
