Your mother is sitting in a chair watching the three of you play. She looks down at her watch and sees it's a quarter till twelve. As the three of you continue playing your mother heads inside and makes a few sandwiches as a quick lunch and pulls out another set of your old clothes for Angie to change into.
Grabbing the platter of sandwiches, some towels, and her camera, your mother heads back outside near to where the antics of your trio is taking place. After setting the platter and the towels on the picnic table she pulls out her camera and takes a few photos of the three of you playing. She smiles and calls out to your small group "It's lunchtime!"
You look to Angie and ask "Are you hungry Angie?" Angie, who's smile begins to grow even larger, responds "Angie hungry, Angie eat."
You take Angie by the hand and walk over to where your mother has set up, the water dripping from you as you go. Phil following shortly behind at first then excitedly passing you by once he realizes it's lunch time, trumpeting happily as he runs.
Your mother hands Angie and you a towell once you approach and you help Angie dry herself off then yourself with Angie of course trying to help you.
Phil, having already shaken all the water from himself, is already chowing down on his food as Angie and you sit at the table.
Angie's eyes are lit up as she looks upon this new meal. She can hardly contain her excitement as your mother hands her a sandwich.
As you begin eating you can't help but watch the adorable sight of Angie happily eating, all the excited squeals and smiles coming from her.
"It seems you really liked that" your mother says as she wipes bits of food from Angie's cheek, Angie smiles at her with a big grin.
"Once you guys are done eating were going to go out shopping together so you should change into dry clothes" your mother proclaims. You nod and say "Okay Mom."
You and Angie finish eating and head into your room where you find the clothes that your mother had laid out for Angie.
Angie who has deciphered the situation starts stripping off her damp garments. She succeeds and proudly tries to display her accomplishment to you all the while you try to hide your embarrassment and say "Good job Angie...now lets get dressed."
You and Angie begin putting on your garb. Once you get your pants and shirt on you look over to Angie who is sliding up her underwear, upon completion she instinctively looks to you for praise. You hide your embarrassment and say with a blush and a smile "Good Angie, now let's get a shirt and pants on you."
You help Angie into the rest of her clothes, she then suddenly hugs you. She looks up at you and says "Good Mark, Dress Angie."
You sit and quietly enjoy Angie's warm embrace when you hear your mother call to the two of you.
"Okay Mom, I'll be down in a minute." you yell out to your mother. You head out of your room but change course toward the bathroom and ultimately the toilet, Angie of course follows you inside. You drop your pants and sit on the porcelain throne and look up to see Angie observing you, she seems curious about what you are doing. You hurriedly cover yourself in embarrassment but soon relax thinking (it's okay, she just doesn't understand).
Angie soon figures out what this small room is for and covers her nose, you then take the opportunity to finish your business. Once you get your pants back up you spray a little but of air freshener in the air and say "It's okay now Angie, it's not stinky anymore." "Stinky? Mark stinky." she says to you. "Yes, I was stinky" you respond.
Before you realize it Angie has her shorts halfway off. Her tiny pale rump is soon exposed to the cool air of the bathroom and she eagerly scurries her way up onto the pot to imitate your action.
She does her business and you hand her some toilet paper, at first she is confused but after you do a wiping motion on yourself it clicks with her and she cleans herself up. The two of you was your hands and depart the bathroom.
The two of you head downstairs to find your mother with her purse in hand and a now dried Phil next to her. "We're going shopping, I need to get a few things and Angie needs her own clothes." You look at Angie and although the look of the oversized clothes looks cute, she definitely needs garments that fit her.
The four of you head out and load into your mother's car with at first Angie, Phil and yourself in the back seat but, Phil excitedly scurries into the front seat. Phil likes to watch things go by.
"We're going to Goldenrod City, It's going to be a bit of a drive," your mother turns back to you "did you guys use the bathroom?" your mother asks. You blush and say "Yes, we did."
Your mother laughs and begins driving
You take this time in the car to teach Angie different words like shirt, pants, shoes, seat, hand, arm, leg, foot, head ect. Angie is picking it up very quickly.
After about 40 minutes you arrive in Goldenrod city, Angie can see some of the large buildings and is pointing at them. At this point she is out of her seatbelt and standing on the seat by the window, her eyes seemingly glued on all the lights, signs, people, and buildings. Luckily the vehicle soon comes to a stop as you have arrived at the clothing store.
The four of you exit the car and walk to the entrance of the store. "Alright Phil, it's time to get in your pokeball, can't have you wandering off like last time." your mother says in a mildly irritated tone "I think we should get him a leash." you joke to your mother. "That's actually not a bad idea Mark, but until then it's gonna have to be a pokeball for you Phil" your mother states as she pulls Phil's pokeball from her purse "Phil return."
A flash of red light appears from the pokeball and surrounds Phil as he returns to it. Angie bearing witness to it latches onto you and begins crying and panicking.
"PHIL, PHIL!" She cries out in tears seeing her new friend disappear in a flash of light just as her mother had years before.
Angie, thinking about the dream the night before, holds onto you as tight as she can and continues to cry.
It is at this point that the cause of her panic clicks in your head. "Mom, Angie is scared of the pokeball" you say. "The poor girl must have lost someone to a trainer before, I'm going to let Phil out for a little bit. "Your mother states "make sure she sees it."
You manage to calm Angie down a little bit and turn her around as you gently hug her from behind. "Look Angie it's okay..." you say as your mother summons Phil from his pokeball "...Phil is okay."
Angie reaches out and nervously touches Phil's head as he happily trumpets before patting her on the head sensing her sadness. Angie hugs Phil and cries tears of relief.
You sit beside Angie and do your best to explain to her what happened. "Angie, it's okay, that's just Phil's pokeball." You wipe the tears from her cheek. "It doesn't hurt him, he just goes in the ball." You hug Angie again.
Your mother recalls Phil back to his pokeball a few more times to show Angie that he's okay. On the last time Angie asks "Phil okay? Phil in ball?" to which you respond "Yes, Phil is okay."
The three of you take a few more minutes to help Angie gather herself. She finally releases you from the hug and instead grabs onto your hand. Although she now somewhat understands pokeballs, she is still a bit weary of them.
Angie continues to hold your hand for the next several minutes as you happily oblige.
After several minutes Angie calms down and relaxes and you dry the last of her tears, she then smiles at you and says "Angie okay." You smile back and give her a hug.
The three of you enter the store with Angie sure to maintain a grip on your hand.
