Will was feeling a little better.

The headache was thankfully gone, excluding stomach acid everything else had improved.

He was back to doing what he liked, treating patients.

Compared to the day before and the last period in which he seemed to have the weight of everything on his shoulders, he was another person, totally different.

Unfortunately that positive feeling passed after a short time.

All those who were his problems came back to crowd his mind and that sad and suffering expression returned to his face.

One of the difficulties he had to solve was how to pay the rent. There were about ten days to go and he would have to pay for the second month.

By then he would have been a two-month backlog.

He had to find the money as soon as possible.

He had no idea how to do it, when ...

- Hello Dr. Halstead,- a colleague greeted him.

- Hello Dr. Green, how come here in the ER?- Will answered

- I was called in for a dermatology consultation. - the doctor explained and then continued - listen, I'm looking for a car like yours for my son, he is in love with that model, could you tell me how much is the price? -

It seemed to Dr. Halstead that the God had heard his prayers, the solution was served there on a silver platter.

- Look honestly I don't know how much it costs new today, but if you are interested I want to sell mine, I have had it for a couple of years, it has never given problems, it is as if it were new .- answered Will.

Luck would have Dr. Green be interested and so the two agreed to do all the necessary procedures for the passage of the car.

Eventually Will would have had the money to pay the rent.

He felt relieved and sad at the same time. He had solved a great worry that tormented him but unfortunately renouncing something useful for him.

In the end, however, he thought it was more important to have a roof over his head rather than something to move around.

He could use public transport to get to work and once he had earned enough he would buy another car.

That evening he continued to work until he was exhausted as usual.

Meggie tried to convince him, at least for that day not to work overtime, he had been sick.

Unfortunately, he needed the money and therefore also that evening, which would have ended his shift at 6 pm he decided to stay at least until 10 pm.

The hours he actually worked that day, however, were quite quiet, there were not many arrivals and the cases assigned to him were relatively simple.

Nurse Lockwood had put some of her into it. If her friend was so stubborn that he didn't want to stop, she would make sure he didn't get too tired by entrusting him with lighter cases.

Once the end-of-shift time arrived, Halstead changed and got ready to make the last trip in what was his car a few hours before. Tomorrow he would deliver it to Dr. Green.

Arrived in his apartment, as the previous evening around 11 pm the landlord showed up, but this time things went differently.

He made him sit down and handed him what he owed him. He paid him the previous month and also, in advance the next one.

For a while at least he would be quiet, with a safe roof over his head.

That night Will went to sleep feeling a little calmer and was able to rest much better, he was quite tired.

Before collapsing, however, he found time to talk to his brother for a few minutes, in the end Will had to work that day and they had not been able to see each other.
