- What were you doing before you got sick? Ethan asked again as the nurse injected the nausea medication into the IV.

- Maybe it has something to do with the discussion you had with Dr. Manning? - asked the nurse.

Hearing those words Will remembered everything that had happened. He was trying to focus on how he felt by putting aside the triggering event.

At that moment, however, everything began to deteriorate: the doctor's face turned red, his heart began to beat wildly, the pounding of his head increased in sync with his heart.

He was starting to get nervous and agitated.

- Please leave me alone,- the doctor shouted.

His body was shaking, he was shivering. He occasionally coughed and some extrasystoles were highlighted on the monitor.

He began to gasp, it was hard to breathe.

- Will calm down please ... - Meggie said worriedly.

- Let me go. My head is exploding. Help .. - Will now screamed desperately.

In a few moments he began to gag again and this time he managed to throw up something, some gastric juices. His stomach felt like it was on fire.

He lacked air, Will seemed to be suffocating.

Choi noticing him took the oxygen mask and placed it on his face.

Unfortunately this made the situation even worse.

Having that mask on his mouth had helped him go even further into the balloon.

He was having what appeared to be a panic attack.

Dr. Halstead had somatized the whole situation that happened with the doctor.

- Will, Will look at me. It's me, it's Meggie, I don't know what you are fighting right now, but whatever it is we will face it together. I am here with you. - she said trying to calm him down.

The doctor seemed to calm down slightly, even though he was still breathing fast.

All of a sudden his eyes filled with tears which did not take long to roll down the doctor's pale cheeks.

- Listen to Will, he keeps looking at me. We're helping you, we've already put some medications in your IV. But now he breathes with me, inhales through his nose and exhales through his mouth. Throw it out, come on. - Meggie kept prodding the doctor to help calm down by serving as a role model.

Shortly thereafter Dr. Halstead closed his eyes again and, being exhausted, he fell asleep.

All that malaise had destroyed him. His body was already weakened from dehydration.

Dr. Choi and Nurse Lokwood decided to let him rest, he needed it. They would check it out later.

Ethan adjusted Will's treatment and then went back to the other waiting patients.

Nurse Meggie paused a moment longer in his room looking at her friend. How peaceful he was now, what a peaceful expression he had on his face.

He was no longer angry or in pain.

The drugs had finally started to work.

She now he just needed to rest, so Lockwood closed the door and took her place to sort the arrivals again between doctors and nurses, however, positioning herself in such a way as to be able to continuously observe Will.
