As I expected, there were no more evol issues, but I had a feeling this isn't over. I just wasn't sure why and how, until I saw the news. People fall asleep and they haven't woken up. I didn't see the problem as the news reporter says that doctors haven't found a way to wake them. There's footage in the hospital where a few patients simply rest while families are worried and doctors check their vitals. I had a bad feeling about this. Right then my phone rings. I checked to my surprise it's Victor. I didn't hesitate as I answered it.

"Where are..."

"THAT'S MY LINE!" I yelled. I can imagine him holding the phone far from his ear. "Do you know how worried she has been? How has everyone been? You just disappeared just like that! I couldn't find you and…!"

"Have you seen the news?" He interrupted me.

"About people becoming sleeping beauties, yes."

"I need you to come to LFG soon as possible."

"Fine. I'll go to change first." I said before I ended the call.

As I entered LFG it was busier than usual. Everyone was in contact with different companies in which LFG has invested. It seems everyone was working to find a solution to this sleep situation. The news kept telling us how serious things were going, while more people were falling asleep and not waking up.

Victor just got more information from different companies as he reads reports. "Please continue inquiries along those lines. I will reach out to the Cognitive Psychology Association myself." He said before finishing the call. "Proceed with plan C." He said to Goldman.

"Yes, sir." Goldman said before encourages the entire team to continue their work.

Victor looked at the news. Call me crazy but somehow I had a feeling he wasn't looking at the news just to listen to the recent update. Once again my mind fills with questions and theories but now is not the time.

"Miss Darens." Hearing my name brought me back to reality. "Go ahead to Cognitive Psychology Association." Victor tells me without no one else noticing.

"Didn't you say…?"

"Black Swan is behind this." Okay, I admit I was having suspicion, but now it's clear. "I'll go there as well, but I need you to go ahead and find the control panel room."

"Got it." I said before leaving the room.

As soon as I got out of the building, I went to the alley, used my lighter, and started to jump over the rooftops. In my power form, I could sense the remains of some sort of sleep gas. That may explain people getting sleep but that still doesn't explain why they don't wake up. In the news, there have been new updates. Those who have fallen asleep, some who have been in the deepest dream state, started to show symptoms. Someone was literally on fire, while the other one was turning solid ice and with the other one electricity was going haywire. Yeah, I can definitely see Black Swan behind this. How I still don't know.

Once I got there, I wasn't much surprised that the place is well secured. Looks like Black Swan learned from their past. Getting in would be harder than before. However, I got a message on my tablet. At first, I thought it's Kiro because he mostly sends messages to this email. But it was someone unknown. In the message, there are blueprints of the building and tech information. I managed to locate the control panel room, also that it requires card identification. Plus, the vent system was more secure than before. I wouldn't have made it if I had managed to get inside.

It didn't take long before Victor arrived with produce… I mean, big Sis.

"Aili, you are here too?"

"I was sent ahead, but sadly I couldn't get inside, but I did figure out where the control room was."

"Good. Lead the way." Victor said.

Luckily, with Victor's powers, we managed to get into the building and get the keycard and get into the control room.

There we learned Black Swan's plan. Black Swan was spreading modified sleep gas over the entire Loveland city, which affects those who aren't Evolvers. During sleep, the brain works differently than when awake. The Subconscious takes in any message and reflects it into memories, knowledge, or body. And this time the message is the frequency of Queen's wave, which should awaken the evol. Also, it would make sense, because in dreams people could have superpowers, but bringing those powers into reality could be the tricky part. Not to mention how their bodies would react to that. The chance looked low. But what was more shocking to realize that those who won't wake as Evolvers, surviving chance was…

"Survival rate…. 0,01 percent"

"Most of these people are unable to become Evolvers, and will eventually die." Victor stated.

"There will be mass deaths." I confirmed. Somehow I was feeling anger. But not like before when I destroyed Black Swan's setups, this was a familiar kind of anger. Somehow this plan reminded me of those who...captured me back then. This sounds so much like their plan. Well, I'm not sure if they have ever made such a plan before, but ready to kill so many for their goal sure sounds like them.

Suddenly alarms went on, informing intrusion. That was our cue to go. Big Sis took all possible information into the disk drive we were running. As we did, we discovered one door from which we could see what was going on. There were already some of the patients who had started to react to the "Dream wave" as I would call it. And just as Victor said, most of the people are unable to become Evolvers, as those patients started to die one by one. One by freezing to death, another one turning to sand, and so on. All the bodies are put in plastic bags and taken away, like some garbage bags.

I admit I was shocked by what I saw, but so was Big Sis that she was about to cry. Victor took her in his arms to calm her.

"...givable. What they're doing is unforgivable!" she cried. I agreed and I'm sure Victor did too. And I was positive that he couldn't stand to see her like that.

However, we were spotted, but luckily Victor stopped the time to give us a chance to escape. We must find a way to stop this before more will die, but first, we need to get out of the building. Right then, Black Swan agents appeared. They were Evolvers. If we remember correctly Victor's power doesn't work on Evolvers, it was up to me to clear the path. Or so I thought so.

I was ready before he moved me behind just when they aimed their powers at us. Then Victor used his power and stopped the time. This time even BS agent Evolvers freeze by time. He actually managed to freeze even Evolvers. We took the chance and started to run. Meantime, Victor explained that it seems even evol can "level up" as I would say. But according to him, there's a limit even to that. I gotta agree. Even my dad's powers have limits. Like for example he can summon both dragon and wolf at the same time, but only with enough fire. Plus, he can collect it by the sun too, but only by a certain amount. But he and mom kept always telling us kids not to use too much power unless it's serious, very serious. Which why I must learn to control my powers further.

We managed to run far till we arrived at the parking lot. There was an exit ahead of us, but something started to appear in front of us, blocking our way to exit. Shadowy creatures create a dark wall of shadow, while someone walks at us. He has a large scar across his face. Black hair and red eyes. He was wearing a black outfit.

Big Sis recognizes him. "Hades."

That's Hades? Victor stood in front to protect her, while I was ready to fight too.

"The clock hand of evolution has begun to move. None can stop it." Hades said. "Everything that has happened in Loveland city up to this point has been no more than a preliminary experiment. The electromagnetic waves we're broadcasting will soon spread over the entire globe, leading all the people into a dream of evolution." Entire globe? Then it won't be mass deaths, it will be the end of humanity. "We've utilized the Queen's genes, which can cause Evols to evolve. The data from your unique brain waves allowed us to create electromagnetic waves of awakening, which will screen the human race and lead us to evolution."

Seriously, I was getting sick and tired of this. My hands turned to fists, while a growl came out from my mouth.

"Queen...You are the one who will cull the human race." Hades continued. "Originally, the prototype for this system was meant to help awaken you as Queen, created for that purpose by Ares. Though…. It seems he has failed." Failed? Could it be…?

Right then, shadow creatures started to charge at us. Looks like Hades's evol is to control anything in shadows. Victor tried to stop the time, but it didn't help much. It seems to him that it requires knowledge of life forms. But since those aren't humans or Evolvers…. Then a huge cloud of shadow started to grow and come at us. I quickly turned around and took hold of the Big Sis. They're gonna have to go through my dead body to get her. I won't let them win. I won't let them hurt my friends… my….

"I will never..."

I will never…

"...lose to you!"

Right then a bright light shone through the darkness clearing the parking lot from shadow creatures. As the light faded away, I for some reason passed out and collapsed.

"But I want to come along."

"I'm sorry, Aili. But I agree with your father. You are not ready yet."

"I start to think you two don't want us two to come at all."

"Every parent doesn't want their children to face the cruel world, yet all the worlds. But one day you and your brother will join us to protect worlds from…."

"Sir! We have located a new area of more worlds and it doesn't look good."

*sigh* "Just give us a minute… Aili, listen. I have said this many times to you. You are..."

"...Living proof that Love is a strong power, I know Dad."

"Aili!"

"It's okay, dear. Aili, do you know why Love is said to be the strongest power?"

"Umm...because...because..."

*chuckles* "First figure to answer this question, then we talk more…."

"But dad…. How would I…"

I woke up and found myself, laying on a bench on the rooftop of LFG. As I turned to look I saw Big Sis and Victor coming at me.

"Are you okay?" Big Sis asked me.

"What happened?" I asked. "Weren't we…."

"You passed out after she used the Queen's power." Victor explained.

"Queen's?" I asked, feeling a bit dizzy. "How long have I been out?"

"Few hours," Victor answered. "Is this the first time?"

"Passed out after a bright light show, I'm pretty sure… I didn't know that's possible. I just didn't want to lose..."

"Could it be that your powers reacted to my Queen power?" Big Sis asked.

"I...I don't think that's possible. The only thing my power should react to is..." I stood silent. I wasn't sure if I should tell them. I mean how would a child tell their parents are…? Well, let's go with superheroes. "Either way, now that we know Black Swan's plan, we need to stop it before it's too late."

"We still need to figure out where they are." Victor told me.

"Once we do, I'll go stop Hades…"

"Just you?" I asked.

"My Queen power stopped him before and…" Big Sis said before I hugged her.

"Even so, it's not wrong to ask for help." I said to her, "When you face that guy, I'll be there to help you."

Both were surprised by my answer. But they let it be. I guess they thought I wanted to help all the way through with this, but soon we were going to realize it was all necessary to save the world.
