*Sarah*
"Let's go over this one more time, John..." Agent Grayson stated before loosening his tie in the interview room, since the agents made their arrest they've had their sleeves rolled up for nearly two hours hitting the Professor with all sorts of questions.
"This is ridiculous! I have already gave you my statement and nothing has changed. How long have I been here? My daughter will be getting worried - you know what? I'm not putting up with his any longer, I'd like to talk to my lawyer." Professor demanded before firmly crossing his arms, giving death glares towards the agents. He already explained his alibi not once or twice but three times now and it checks out however, the captain of Townsville precinct is putting major pressure on the squad.
"Of course, as you're in your right to do so. Okay we'll take a short break." Gilbert said as he rose from his seat to switch off the recorder and he looked over at Sarah and noticed she was day dreaming. Gilbert stepped outside and asked the officer to escort the Professor to a telephone.
When the Professor left the room Gilbert took a seat next to Sarah before placing his hand on her shoulder, "you good?"
"What do you think?" Sarah rolled her eyes, almost like she was in a mood.
"You tell me, that's why I'm asking...come on you've been quiet since the anonymous call, talk to me."
"Gilbert, John isn't our guy! We're interrogating an innocent man and you know that. First of all Professor X is a woman-" Sarah was starting to rant until Gilbert cut in.
"I know the guy didn't do it, his alibi checks out and he doesn't have motive. But this tip still came from somewhere, why would it be made up? We still gotta do our job, if the Captain investigates our recordings and sees we haven't done our jobs right he'll-"
"I know, Gilbert but it's a waste of time!" Sarah snapped and huffed in frustration.
Gilbert tilts his head at her with a look of concern, "You sure you're alright?..."
"Yeah it's just...a lot of things going on at home with Terrance, I'm sorry I didn't -"
"Sarah, everyone has their off day; don't worry about it. Why don't you head home for the night and I'll wrap it up here?" Her partner suggested.
Sarah was never the type to abandon her work unless it's done but today she really wasn't feeling it, especially after seeing poor Blossom's face when her dad got arrested she felt terribly responsible the whole day, "I appreciate that, Gilbert. Thank you." She said as she stood from her seat while grabbing her blazer which was hanging behind her chair, "call me if anything comes up." Gilbert nodded at the woman before opening the door for her.
Sarah parked her car around the corner from the station, she unlocked the black Range Rover before climbing in and throwing her stuff in the back seat. She took a moment to sit there and look up at the night sky as she pinched the bridge of her nose, resting her elbow on the window ledge.
Suddenly she heard the passenger door opening and closing, she quickly reached for her gun until she saw who was sitting beside her, "Christ, Brandon! What do you think you're playing at?"
"A dangerous game by getting in a screws car, drive before anyone sees." The green Rock said as he had his hood up, looking around the area to ensure no one witnessed anything.
Sarah's hands trembled as she placed her keys in her engine in a hurry, "Why would you risk getting in my car? Anyone could've saw!"
"Lucky for us no one did." He said as Sarah started the car and drove away, Brandon put his hood down before turning his head towards Sarah, "how've you been keeping anyway, sweet cheeks?" His lips curved to a cheeky grin
"How do you think?! I heard your voice on the anonymous call, I know it you! That isn't my guy in there you're suppose to make this easier instead you're sending me on a freakin' goose chase. What the hell is going on?" Sarah asked in annoyance as she kept her eyes on the road.
"Yeah cut a long story, short my brothers made a big mess and it's up to me and you to clean it up-"
"Woah - hold your horses there, Green Lantern, that's your brothers fucking problem!"
Brandon raised his eyebrow in amusement hearing his nickname, "you're the primary investigator on our case; so it's your fucking problem, too."
"Whatever and what are you talking about 'me and you'? There is no 'me and you', there's only my deal with you in regards to Terrance and that's it."
"Bitch, if you wanna help Terrance then listen to me; I'm talking about handing you Professor X with a big bow wrapped around her but fine, if you ain't interested then stop the car and I'll get out." He shrugged, looking forward.
Sarah scoffed, "quit toying with me, Brandon I know she isn't gonna give herself up that easy-"
"If you help me out you'll have her in the interview room by tonight." He said as he turned his head towards her.
Sarah's head snapped towards him and back to the road, Brandon smirked before speaking again, "now that I've got your attention, take a right here." He directed, pointing towards the dirt-road leading to the forest.
Sarah turned right and noticed that the only light that could be seen was from her headlights, she slowed down feeling herself on edge. Brandon could feel the atmosphere, "Don't worry, you can speed up I can see in the dark."
"It's not the dark I'm worried about..."
Brandon cocked a brow again, "do you trust me?"
Sarah laughed maybe a little too harshly, "that's debatable. Answer me honestly, where are we going?"
"To get Red, I know he can help."
Sarah stepped on the breaks with force, dramatically stopping the car almost throwing Brandon through the windshield since he didn't bother putting his seatbelt on, "Bitch, what the fuck?!"
"No." Sarah said as she was about to reverse, "no, I'm not going to your red-eyed freak of a brother for help, no way. Forget it."
"He's a red-eyed freak, I'll give you that but it ain't my brother..."
Sarah looked back at him as she stopped reversing and pulled up the hand-break raising a brow in curiosity, "Explain..."
*Brick*
It must've been more that a couple hours since he's been trapped in the basement he was trying his hardest to stay calm but his mind kept predicting scenarios, he doesn't know what Bradley was thinking or planning and it's not like Brandon was any help. All he wanted to know if Blossom was okay, he's tried everything in the last hour and a half to break the door down; he's tried his strength, powers, chemicals in the lab along with his powers (couple tries concluding mini explosions resulting a small dent at the bottom of the door). There has to be some way out he thought desperately, he already tried to swap around the wiring on the outbound keypad however, the inbound keypad holds main access. The air vent was too small for his head, never mind his body and there's no service on his phone so that plans out the window.
Suddenly he heard the metal door opening, he stood in fighting position as his hands formed red flames around them being ready for any possibilities. Brandon poked his head in as his face showed slight annoyances, "Bro, I only left you for a couple hours and theres already a dent on the door, like what the fuck man?"
Brick's flames start to die down, "what the hell took you so long?"
His eyes widen as he saw Sarah enter the room she had a defensive look on her face showing no fear. Brandon stepped in the middle between them, "Brick meet Special Agent Sarah Jones, Agent Jones meet Brick I'm sure you both heard of each other."
"What is she doing here?" he asks Brandon but snarls towards the agent.
"A bit hypocritical of you to say since she's your brother's partner you're talking about..." the green Rock shot back faster than a bullet. There was a pregnant silence, Brick's stare was burning through Brandon. Sarah's eyes kept shifting between the two not knowing what's about to kick off until Brandon raised a brow, "what's the matter? Didn't think we'd find out?"
Brick held himself very still but his eyes shifted towards the brave fearless agent, "did you sell my brother out?"
"Boomer is a valuable source, why would I want to sell him out?" Sarah pointed out however, her gaze travelled towards Brandon, "How did you even know Boomer was working with us?"
Brandon carelessly shrugged, "We've got our sources but we're not here to talk about that..." he said as he turned around from the pair and quickly typed in a code on the keypad causing the doors to close again, "we're here to talk about Professor X."
"What's your game here?" Brick asked as he narrowed his eyes.
Brandon smirked as he strolled to the centre of the room as he pulled a stool out of the middle island while his eyes were on Sarah, "while you and Boomer were playing checkers at the DEA office..." now his eyes shifted towards Brick, "and you and lil mama were playing chess with Megabucks..." Brandon's smirk grew wider showing a toothy grin while Brick's eyes widen as his face was going pale, how did he even know about that? No one could've known about that unless..."I was playing poker with Prince and a bunch of other powerful people across the country. We meet up once a month and sometimes share a lot of valuable information."
"Why are you meeting these 'people' every month? Are you involved in a rebellious group?" Sarah interrogated as she lifted a brow.
Brandon frowned, "What? No, we literally meet up for poker night...believe it or not, a lot of people like me and that's why I get invited to all the cool events" he bragged, his face was smug.
"What else do you know about our deal with him?" Brick cut in, grabbing the green Rock's attention.
"Well, I know why she wants to go to prison, which was a very clever idea by the way, but prison is like a constant turf war, even though she's a super-human she's still gonna need protection on the inside and I can make that happen but I want a cut." Brandon grinned cheekly
"Forget it!" Brick spat as he glared at the green Rock up and down.
"C'mon, man" he whiningly begged, "Bradley doesn't need to know, I have my own thing going on for me and it's not like Blossom's prison material as soon as she walks in-"
"Blossom?" Sarah cut in as she frowned in confusion, "as in Blossom Utonium?"
"Sarah, don't go ape shit, she was gonna confess-" Brandon rose to his feet ready to keep the agent calm.
Sarah took a step back, "Wait, that doesn't make sense Blossom's a good girl she was over my house for dinner she was so pleasant she..." there was a moment of silence before her eyes darkened in anger, "...she was using my son to get to me and dumped him just that when she was done with him." Brick and Brandon shared a glance at each other before looking back at the petite woman, Brick took a step back not knowing how ugly this was going to get, the pair could physically hear the hamster wheel to going round her head as she was connecting the dots.
"Agent Jones, she wasn't using your son he was just met the wrong person at the wrong time." Brick said as Sarah's hatred eyes landing on the redhead.
"She really did care about Mac, she wouldn't let anything happen to him...which is why she left him." Brandon added, making little bits up as he went along so the protective mother doesn't get the wrong end of the stick but of course she was still pissed.
"The bitch was right in front of me this whole time...that slut!" Sarah slammed her fist against the metal surface in rage.
"Hey, watch who you're talking about!" Brick barked at the woman as he crossed his arms.
Sarah scowled as she reached for her gun which was attached to her belt and pointed it towards Brick putting the safety off as she narrowed her eyes, "Try me!" she challenged
Brick's eyes glowed red as his hands started to form flames again until Brandon stood inbetween them, "woah, woah - we're here for a negotiation, not a fuckin' war!"
"What do we have to negotiate over?" Brick asked plainly because he didn't see the point in his plan, it was all going south from here.
"Look, like I said there's some powerful people in our poker games and that's including the governor of Headwood Prison..." Brick's eyes started dying down while Brandon turned towards Sarah, "and get this, the governors son was the buddy I was telling you about who works at Roseville rehab centre his dad's offering to cover for Terence's treatment..."
Sarah lowered her gun, "I'm not doing favours for corrupted rich people I don't know, I could lose my job for this-"
"He just needs certain information from the drug enforcement and he'll pay your son's bill, it's only a one time thing and he'll leave you alone, I'll make sure of it." Brandon turned back to Brick, "And he's willing to let the drugs in the prison and give Pinky the VIP treatment, she's gonna be living it up like Martha Stewart..." Brick and Sarah exchanged a hesitant glance towards one another before Brandon took a seat again, "Prince is already discussing arrangements with Governor Jerry Brown all I need to do is get you two on-board; like I said there's some powerful people in these poker games."
"So, what do we do now?" Brick asked as he took a seat on his side of the table.
"Now, we negotiate." Sarah stated as she took a stool out on her own side, taking both late teens by surprise.
*Blossom*
Take control, take control, take control she was repeating to herself as she walked the pavement leading up to Mojo's volcano. Brick was right, Boomer had the right to know and she had to have the balls to tell him eventually before self-surrendering; now was a better time than never. She left the house 10 minutes after Bradley's appearance but she still felt on edge, he's watching me or maybe I'm being paranoid, she thought as she kept looking over her shoulder feeling herself on edge. She took a deep breath, take control, take control, take controls. You got this.
"Blossom?"
She stopped dead on her tracks feeling her heart ache, take control she turned around with her hands in her jacket pocket with an emotionless expression, "Hi, Mac..."
His eyes looked tired like he'd hardly slept, his hair was a lot more shaggier than usual and he had a look of emotional pain, it was killing her to see. "Hi, Mac? That's all you've got to say? Blossom, what's going on with you? You've hardly been in class, you're ignoring my calls-"
"Yeah? Well, we're not together anymore. I don't know what you want me to say." she couldn't look him in the eye, if she did she might just burst into tears. Even when she does show up for class she doesn't even look in his direction without feeling guilty.
"I still care about you, a lot. Even though I shouldn't..."
She looked at him astouded at his response, "what are you talking about?" is he talking about Brick?
"Your dads all over the news there's alligations against him, apparently he's Professor X but it didn't take me long to figure it out...when you broke up to me you told me to keep my eye on the news and it didn't make sense to me...but now I get it; you're Professor X and you're blaming your dad" he said in a harsh tone before crossing his arms, "and it also got me thinking you were never into me, you were just using me"
"Mac, it was never like that I liked you for you if I was using you don't you think I would try to get closer to your mom? But I didn't, I avoided her at all cost, when have I ever asked for her?"
The brunette had to think it over for a second as he doesn't recall, "but you didn't like me as much as I liked you, right?"
Blossom shook her head, "No, I'm sorry."
"'Cause it's always been Brick. I asked you if I had anything to worry about the moment I met him and you lied to my face telling me I was your present and future." he spat in disgust, "you deserve everything you get coming to you."
"I know." she felt her eyes water but she couldn't cry, not now, "karmas a bitch." she shrugged it off, trying to keep her emtions stable but it was too hard.
"Do me a favour and pretend we never happened." he said looking away as he put his hands his in jeans pockets. "And if you see me don't talk to me."
He brushed right past her and she let a single tear toll down, still trying to hold it herself from sobbing, stop crying and get a fucking grip of yourself she thought harshly.
She held her head high as she continued to march up the hill towards the volcano, she heard a scream and frowned, was that coming from the volcano? Seconds later Nelly appeared at the front door running for her life down the hill, Blossom stopped her, "Nelly, what's wrong? What happened? Are you okay?"
"My parents were right! I can't keep going on like this!" Nelly panted as she was hyperventilating
"What are you talking about? What's going on?"
Nelly ran straight past Blossom but looked back, "It doesn't matter where Boomer goes trouble is always going to follow him and I can't be apart of that!" and with that being said, the blonde girl disappeared down the hill.
What is she talking about? Trouble following him? - oh no, her eyes darkened in anger, Rowdyrock. As quick as a flash she raced towards the volcano and let herself in. She heard a commotion coming from the living room, she slowly made her way down the hallway and towards the noise, she seen a green laser beam shining out the room and then Butch talking, "Not if I have something to do with it, bitch."
Blossom slowly entered the room to see Ben was thrown across and Butch was helping Boomer up. The three boys turned their heads to Blossom but her eyes were fixed on Ben and she turned to Boomer seeing the look of anger and betrayal across his face, oh no, I'm too late, "Boomer..." she said as he got up.
"This full time it was you..." he said, barely being a whisper
"He's clearly making all this shit up just to cause drama, ain't that right, Blossy?" Butch said as he kept his eyes on Ben. Butch turned his head dumbfounded when he noticed she didn't answer, "Blossom?"
Ben started chuckling as his nose was bleeding like a psychopath, "this is just too good"
"Shut up!" Butch barked as he launched for the blue Rock.
As the boys fought Blossom was standing face to face with Boomer, his eyes lighting up a sapphire blue colour, "Do you have any idea what you put me through? What you put my kids at work through? What you put Nelly through?" his voice was raising as his eyes were glowing more harsher and violently.
"Boomer, I-" apparently he wasn't interested in her excuse as he sent a swift punch across her face knocking her back.
Boomer threw another punch but Blossom ducked and grabbed his ankles tripping him to the floor as she stood up, "I didn't know it was your kids dealing the drugs, I swear!"
"Bullshit! You had to know something!" He spat as he grabbed her by the hair and slamming her head off the nearest wall.
"Well, well, what in the fresh fuck is going on here?" the group heard someone making their way in the living room. They all turned their heads to see Bradley had entered with his signature smirk on, "front door was open so I helped myself in."
"Get the fuck out!" Butch hissed through his teeth, twitching like a mad man.
"Once I get my brother we'll take our leave and go." Butch pushed Ben towards his brother as his face showed more bloody bruises, "you can do whatever you want with that one, she's no good to me no more." Bradley said to Boomer as he followed his blue brother out the volcano home, slamming the door behind him.
The now messed up living room was very quiet, "What the fuck were you thinking, Blossy?" Butch asked, not believing what just happened in the last two minutes.
"I-"
"Get out." Boomer said abruptly
Blossom and Butch turned to Boomer both surprised of his outburst, "But Boomer-"
"I don't want to hear it, Bloss, as far as I know you're dead to me." Boomer spat as he looked out the window, ignoring the pink Puff completely.
Blossom's heart sank when she heard that first Mac now Boomer she thought sadly, was it really worth that much?
Butch was watching his brother before he shifted his glance to the pink redhead, "I think you better go..."
"And don't come back." Boomer added harshly
Blossom looked down in shame before leaving the room however she heard Boomers voice, "and another thing..." Blossom turned her head in hope, "don't come near my brother ever again."
