A/N- Okay, All characters are owned by Rick Riordan. The only thing that is not his, is what comes from my imagination. Any suggestions/help/criticism/advice is welcome, as always. Sorry for the delay, I have been busier the usual, then my laptop broke. Honestly I forgot that I started this as I still haven't bought a new laptop, and it slipped my mind after being off for so long. The Disney + PJATO series being confirmed brought me back. The only reason I am able to update is my brother moved back home (temporarily) and he has his own gaming PC, so he's letting me use his laptop. Finally, I graduated High school, and with the current quarantine and stuff, I should have more time for this. It shouldn't happen again, but no promises. I try not to make promises I can't keep, and I dunno, stuff happens in life. Again, sorry.

Okay, here we go. On with the next chapter.

Previously:

I should have known better than to let myself doze off, because with sleep comes dreams. And with dreams, comes the nightmares.

Now:

Percy's POV

Slash, dodge, stab, roll, jab, feint, disarm, kill. Repeat. Slash, dodge, stab, roll, jab, feint, kill. On and on it went fighting against wave after wave of monsters. Eventually I cleaned up the rest of my surrounding area, giving me a brief moment to take a look around. Mistakes were made. Bodies of my fellow campers lay across the landscape. Some were unrecognizable with their body parts scattered all over, splattered against the terrain. It was terrifying. One by one we fell. I stood there frozen, as if I were being forced to watch it all. The Giant, Porphyrion got a lucky hit on Jason, making him crumble to the ground. A moment later a spear made Its way all the way through his body protruding out his back, as one of my best friends was gutted like a fish. I looked on in horror. I was petrified as Enceladus swept my wise girl off her feet, throwing her onto the ground. She tried to move but couldn't time, as she was then torn apart by Lycaon and his pack. She gave a blood-curdling scream, before that was suddenly cut off as blood was sent flying everywhere.

How the Hades is this happening? We defeated the giants. The last thing I remember is... is... that I... I was practicing my powers after being sent back in time, right? And then I fell asleep and now I am here... So THIS IS JUST A DREAM! What the Styx! It felt so real this time. UGH. WAKE UP ME!

Suddenly everything went dark and I couldn't see anything. "You should know, some dreams are prophetic. I am helping you see what could be in the near future. Isn't that usually something everyone wants to see?" An ominous voice cackled. "Either way, I know what my father is planning. I can faintly feel his presence on you, and I can't wait to see how badly you fail on your journey to defeat me. It will be such fun watching your friends die. Oh, and when I get to your father, he's going to fade. Your mother will be killed in front of you and- wait a minute, that one grumpy death guy already killed her with the Minotaur. Why do the gods always take my fun? Eh, whatever, I'll just kill your lover in front of you instead. And when it is finally time for your death... I can't wait. Oh, It is like the climax of a great book, you just want to keep on going until you reach the end. Which, sadly you won't be able to see as you will be, you know, dead. The new world is coming. I personally can't wait to officially meet you. Until then, hope you survive."

I felt myself start to wake up. Good, get me away from this lunatic. It was fading, but I still heard him pout "I Don't want my fun to be taken away again by a stupid god or monster. Nope not again, nope, no, nope, no, no... "

When I finally started waking up all I could think to say was "What the actual fuck was that?" Did he really start pouting because he couldn't kill my mother since she's already with Hades. Wait but she's not dead, just captive, right? Then maybe he doesn't know what happens in the, um, future. I need to stop getting confused about this time traveling thing. Hmmm, I wonder if I'm the first person to travel through time. Stop, I have more important things to worry about.

It was at that moment I realized I was still under water. I swam up, hoping it wasn't too late in the day. I looked around to see some of the sun's rays glistening off the waves. Shoot it is already about 7:00 A.M. I wanted to be back before anyone noticed. I hurried my way to the beach. Good news is, I didn't miss breakfast and Nobody was on the beach. Bad news is, by Nobody I meant what Annabeth told me to call her for a bit during the quest for the golden fleece when we fought Polyphemus. Oh, those days were much simpler than the present(future?)... Whatever. Of course Annabeth had already spotted me so I swam ashore.

"Umm, Hi. Fine weather this morning, right?" I stuttered. She looked at me oddly, and all I could think was, I really am an idiot sometimes. "Uh, What are you doing down here?" I asked.

"I was reading, until I saw you swim over from out of nowhere." she answered. "There goes my quiet time. Anyway, I think the real question is what were you doing out there?"

"Swimming?" I replied.

"For how long?" she inquired.

"I dunno, 30 minutes." I lied.

She raised an eyebrow at that. "Oh, really, I have been here that long and I haven't seen you until now."

Uh oh. I really messed up now. "Um, I... I am a good swimmer?"

"And? I know you are hiding something."

I sighed, "It was going to come out eventually, I guess."

"What was?"

"I already know who my father is." I stated

"From what I've gathered I believe I know who it is, and it's not a good sign."

"What, why's that"

"If your father is who I think it is. The timing between that, whatever the stolen thing is, and whatever is going to take place at the solstice, it all has to be connected. I just don't know how. Something to do with you. Maybe... no that can't be it. Hmm, I'll go talk to Chiron about it, until then stay out of trouble." On that note, she picked up her book and walked off. Which left me confused as to what I should do now.

That question was soon answered as the horn for breakfast was sounded. I was never one to turn down a meal, so there I went.

Line-Break

Over the next few days, I settled into a routine I was semi-comfortable in. I would "learn" Ancient Greek from Annabeth each morning, though she seemed slightly distracted by something every time. Though that was probably my fault, as I kept getting distracted by, well, her. I am still not okay after seeing her die. I linger around longer than I should, mentally making sure this is real, and this isn't some joke. Sometimes, I worry I am going to wake up from a coma and be chained up by the enemy. Like, I didn't go back in time, Chronos is evil, and this is a hallucination.

Whenever I get these thoughts I visit Hestia, if possible. We just talk about whatever nonsense we can, from how our day went, to stories of what happens in the future or happened in the past. Sometimes it is nothing at all, and we just sit in a comfortable silence. Of course, these moments are not the only time we talk, but she is still a goddess and has her duties.

Getting back to the topic I started with, I had to go through the activities to look for something I was good at, again. Not wanting to give myself away I did everything. Yes, even archery. Once again, Chiron tried to teach me. Even when I refused to pick up the bow, he insisted I give it a try. I thought about it and wondered if I actually practiced so I could become at least decent. Surprisingly, I hit a target. I mean, it was the edge of one about 15 meters off the one I was aiming at. Still, I count that as a win for me. Everyone else was not impressed. They just didn't know how bad I actually was the first time I shot an arrow. Seriously, to this day I have no idea how that arrow flew into Chiron's tail. Especially since he was behind me.

After that, I quickly found out I was not in shape like I was before. All those years of exercise, and I am back in this scrawny little body. Eh, I will get back in shape soon.

On Thursday afternoon I finally was able to have my "first" sword-fighting lesson. It finally dawned on me that I didn't have Riptide yet. Huh. If it goes similar to last time Luke and I would pair up, since I was "new". Probably testing me or something. In all honesty I just wanted to know if I was still able to pull some of the advanced moves consistently. Even though I am 12 again... and small.

And then I thought about it. Yeah I know. Me. Thinking. Hahaha. Anyways I figured I wouldn't want to change too much yet. Last time went fine. Actually, I'll only change stuff when deemed necessary. Like, to save someone's life or convenience. For the time being anyways.

So that's what I did. We sparred, I did the disarming technique once after pouring water on myself, then I totally let him beat me the rest of the time.

The next few days went about the same as last time. We played Capture The Flag. I beat Clarisse and her little group of siblings (though I still got a bit bruised, being out of shape and all.) Forgot about the hellhound and got even more injured (Chiron shot it again). I got claimed after healing in the creek. Moved to my cabin, all of that stuff. Only difference was I wasn't as miserable as I was the first time. Mostly everyone kept their distance, which was fine, I didn't like the spotlight at all anyways. The only ones I talked to were Annabeth, Grover, and Hestia... and Luke for sparring. However, Annabeth always seemed distant and distracted, and Luke was, er well, Luke. You know the same guy who helped cause a ton of needless death. I honestly still didn't know how to feel about him. On one hand, what he did (will do?) was terrible, while on the other hand, I understand his motive. He just went about it with the wrong actions.

The day before my quest was supposed to be issued, I was talking with Hestia about my friends, when she suggested I start to get to know them better earlier on. I didn't think about it before, but she was right. Quite a bit of them died in the first war alone. Including, Zoe Nightshade, Lee Fletcher, Charles Beckendorf, Silena Beauregard, Michael Yew, Bianca di Angelo, and more. Some of them are already here at camp, why haven't I even talked to any of them? So, I told her that I definitely will talk to them, once I get back from the quest.

That night I had my oddest dream yet. It wasn't a bad one, but that made it all the weirder, especially since I don't remember the last time I dreamt something even remotely pleasant. Anyways it started with me just floating in the ocean. Was peaceful. I could just fall asleep- if I wasn't already sleeping. I opened my eyes after a few minutes (in the dream, mind you) just in time to catch a glimpse of a figure flying above. I couldn't decipher what it was exactly, but didn't dwell on it too much as I was soon consumed by darkness. Surprisingly the darkness felt soothing? A calm washed over me making me feel like everything will be okay in the end. No matter what, we will be okay. It felt familiar, but different enough that I could not place the exact source. However it did remind me of when I would just sit and chat with Annabeth, relishing in the comfort of each other's presence. I miss those days. But that is okay, it will be even better this time around. This time she won't fall, and we can finally start the family we always dreamed of. We will prevail. I know we will. We have to, otherwise I don't know what I would do. The whole point of me going back was to make a difference, so a difference I will make.

I awoke more determined than ever. I will save my family. Coincidentally, not even a minute later, there was a knock at the door.

"Come in?"

The door opened and Grover trotted in looking nervous and worried. "Mr. D wants to see you."

"Okay, let me dress properly and I'll be on my way."

"I- I'll wait outside for you." He leaves, closing the door behind him.

Once more I'll spare the vast details of the visit. I feigned ignorance, talked to Mr D and Chiron. They told me to visit the oracle for a quest. Yada Yada, blah blah, basically the same as before. However the oracle visit itself was quite different than I thought it would be. I am kind of shaken, still just standing there in front of the oracle in thought.

Oh right, I should probably say what happened exactly, because this is pretty important. Basically, at first, nothing changed. The prophecy was spoken as usual. However, as I was about to turn away, another was given. And of course, it didn't sound good. Typical. Anyways it went like this.

"Death embraces the son of the sea,

Lost without wisdom, he will be,

Primordials two, both out to kill,

The hearth's champion, his final will,

The Pit, Darkness, they want it all,

For that to pass, the hero must fall,

A time for change is near upon,

The only way the war is won."

The only words I could think to say right now were, "Well, Fuck me."

A/N. Well, here we go. Finally a new chapter. What do you all think. Not gonna lie, I started this chapter 2 years ago and just now finished it. Sorry about that. Reviews are appreciated, express your thoughts, questions, and whatnot. I will try to answer all comments. Key word there is try. Any suggestions/help/criticism/advice is welcome, as always.
