Battling zombies who don't respond to quirks is hard, but making Izuku see him as a potential love interest was even harder.

Shouto had figured this out in the two weeks Katsuki and Shouto had their competition going on. Izuku hadn't been responding to either of the alpha's flirting. Now, you might be thinking, "Yeah, I understand that part, but please explain the zombies."

Oh, right.

Class 1-A was currently in Foundational Hero Studies taught by the one and only All Might himself. All Might had told them they were going to play a zombie apocalypse simulator with all senses. The only thing wrong with it, they couldn't use quirks or any possible weapons they were trained with. All they were armed with was their fists and a gun the video game spawned with them. All Might told them it was so they could learn to fight quirkless and fit teamwork, but Shouto thinks he just wanted a break and to play video games.

One other thing Shouto had learned is to never challenge Katsuki to a video game match. He was slaying every zombie in sight, plus a few humans, but who was counting.

"BAKUGOU, I'M GONNA KILL YOU!" Kaminari screeched.

"SUCK IT UP, LOSER. I'M THE BEST AT THIS GAME!" Katsuki screamed back, whilst killing off a horde of bloodthirsty zombies.

Ashido responded to this, "YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO KILL YOUR OWN TEAMMATES!"

"YEAH, WELL-" Katsuki started.

"Calm down, Young Heroes, it's just a game," All Might said from outside the game.

Shouto was using his own strategy. He was trying to sneak up on the zombies, kill off a few in their herd, then run into a corner, ready his gun, wait for a few herds to come running at him, then shoot them all.

Shouto refused to admit that he was doing this to impress Izuku (and Katsuki).

Speaking of Izuku, since Shouto was probably somewhere near the lead, he assumed he had a few minutes to spare to look for the greenette. Maybe he could help him, not that Izuku needed it, but still.

Shouto looked across the empty cement room that to him looked like a ashen city of burnt buildings taken over by a kingdom of zombies hoping to murder any remaining humans that might have survived. Finally, Shouto spotted Izuku with Shinsou. Together, they were slowly but surely decimating the whole population of zombies. They were doing pretty well too.

That reminded Shouto he probably had to get back to destroying zombies so he could keep his probable spot in the lead. Katsuki was probably somewhere up there too, but Shouto assumed that it also took off points for killing teammates. Especially when this was a game that encouraged teamwork.

Quickly, Shouto kicked a zombie to the ground then stomped on their body whilst shooting like ten of the vermin. He ran into his little corner and waited for those zombie's pack members to come after him. They never came. Shouto looked around to see why. Then he saw it, both Izuku and Shinsou had killed like five herds of zombies in a solid five seconds. Shouto had to up his game or they'd have him beat.

Looks like he'd have to take down an opposing threat to Shouto's throne. He hid behind a slightly burnt bush, aimed, and shot. Shinsou was down. Of course, Shouto didn't really kill him, but in the game he was dead.

Despite this, Izuku got down on his hands and knees and started sobbing. "Who did this to my beloved, Hitoshi!? For they shall pay a price. That price will be their blood splattered across the ground at my feet." Shouto shivered, he was now properly scared for his life. Shinsou giggled, despite being dead in the game. Izuku got up, there was fire burning in his eyes, longing for bloodshed.

Izuku proceeded to murder every zombie in the vicinity. Shouto pretended nothing happened and went to his regular killings. Shouto looked around to see who was still alive. Izuku, Katsuki, Jirou, Yaomomo, Hagakure, and himself. In order to end the game, everyone had to be dead.

Shouto had a plan.

In order to win this game, you had to kill the most zombies. Simple. The score would rank them from highest to lowest based on who had killed the most zombies. One point for each zombie murdered. Shouto estimated it would take off about five points if you killed one teammate. They had no way of telling who was in the lead from the inside, but Shouto guessed he was either in first, second, or third place. Therefore, all he had to do was kill all his teammates, then slaughter enough zombies to make up for it.

Now, who was the biggest threat? It was either Katsuki or Izuku, but Shouto didn't want to annihilate Izuku and Katsuki would be hard to murder. Shouto decided to go for an easier target. Shouto looked around. Yaomomo. Perfect.

Before going for it, Shouto quickly massacred maybe forty zombies. Now, time to back stab his own classmate. With one clean shot, the black haired alpha was out of the game. The next person he planned to go for was Jirou. This probably wouldn't be easy, but he had to try. He snuck up from behind, then twisted the avatar's neck around. Sometimes he wondered what All Might was seeing outside of the game. Jirou. Deceased.

Now, he supposed he should take down one of the biggest threats. Izuku. He guessed he would have to do it sooner rather than later. Shouto supposed he should get this over with. Izuku didn't have very good defenses in this game so it would be easy, but that doesn't mean he wanted to do this. Shouto closed his eyes and shot Izuku in the chest. Down.

Suddenly, blood filled his screen. He was… dead? Who had snuck up on him and killed him? He looked around and saw Hagakure sneakily moving away from him. Shouto took off his virtual reality goggles. All the people who were out were sitting in a corner of the room talking. Shouto took off all his equipment and put it in a bin where the rest was.

A few people had amiably complained to him about him killing them, but they all had fun. Sooner rather than later, the game was over.

Before the results were revealed, All Might said, "Some of you resorted to... less than preferable methods, -like killing each other- but overall it was great! I won't name any name, but-"

"IT WAS BAKUGOU AND TODOROKI!" Kaminari yelled.

All Might coughed, "As I was saying- but some of you used teamwork. Which is what this group activity was for. I will now show the results before you get too impatient.

Second place, that was pretty good. Hagakure did really well. Shouto didn't even see her winning. Probably because she was invisible. She even managed to kill Shouto. He turned to Katsuki to rub his victory in the adorable alpha's face only to see that Katsuki was already staring at him with malice evident in his eyes. Katsuki had murder on his mind. Shouto better start running.

Katsuki was growling, Shouto thought that was pretty cute. Most people wouldn't, but Shouto wasn't most people. The fact that such small but terrifying sounds could come out of such a beautiful creature was amazing. And don't get him started on Katsuki's spikey hair and ruby eyes. Shouto wasn't afraid to admit that Katsuki was elegant and stunning.

Next, he looked to Izuku, expecting to see the greehette already staring at him with amazement. Instead, Izuku was occupied with Shinsou. Izuku was looking at Shinsou with amazement. Izuku was telling him so too. He practically was radiating sunshine. Now that Shouto thought of it, Izuku had called Shinsou Hitoshi. Not Shinsou. Were they that close?

Then Shouto figured it out, the reason why Izuku was so attentive to Shinsou, the teamwork, the obvious infatuation with each other.

Shinsou had a second quirk that made Izuku like Shinsou.

Yes, Shouto, Hitoshi has a second quirk.
