Katsuki was enraged. How dare that stupidly beautiful son of Endeavor apha even come close to winning?! How did Katsuki lose to him? If they had teamed up they would have been unstoppable, that's for sure. Also, he stole Katsuki's idea, killing off the threats. Katsuki huffed, but he was actually… proud? Why? He felt like a murderer watching their child kill their first victim. It was truly an amazing, but anger inducing experience.
As you can see, Katsuki is very conflicted on his opinion on Shouto.
The very same guy Katsuki was internally ranting about was currently sprinting up to him. Katsuki readied his infuriated face, about to give this shit the yelling of his lifetime. Before one sound could come out, Shouto covered his mouth with his right hand.
It was warm as expected of his fire side. His hands were thin. Calloused yet soft at the same time. They'd be perfect in contrast to his big and very hard hands. Katsuki kinda wanted to hold Shouto's hand- nope, don't go there, thoughts.
"Before you start screeching at me, I have news," Shouto said, in lieu of a greeting.
Unable to talk and not really wanting to take the warm hands off his mouth, he just nodded, a sign for Shouto to continue.
"Hitoshi has a second quirk," Shouto told Katsuki from their place alone in the room they were previously using for the zombie apocalypse simulator.
Katsuki silently told Shouto with his eyes, that's complete bullshit, but please explain your reasoning. This is entirely too entertaining to stop. Somehow, Shouto got the message.
"Well, they were teaming in the zombie apocalypse simulator. Afterwards, they were talking together. Izuku called Shinsou, Hitoshi. They both look at each other with such admiration. Concluding these observations, it obviously means Shinsou is in love with Izuku and used his second quirk on Izuku to make him fall in love too," Shouto said in one breath.
Katsuki rolled his eyes, he licked Shouto's hand so he could speak again. It worked, Shouto backed away. Katsuki spoke, "Well, dumbass. There is a more sensible conclusion to this. Both Deku and Mind Fuck have done extensive training quirkless. Meaning, if they teamed up they could defeat more zombies than alone and decrease the chance of either getting killed." Katsuki glared at Shouto at that part. Shouto at least had the decency to look guilty. "Secondly, Deku was probably interrogating Mind Fuck about the match. Next, anyone in their right mind would be impressed by Deku's analysis. Fourth, they probably train together and have gotten closer, therefore the use of given names. Lastly, what the fuck is wrong with your brain?"
"Oh," was all Shouto said. He looked a little sad about the insult.
Katsuki regretted the last part. He scratched the back of his head. "Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean the last part. You're pretty smart for a dumbass."
This was against everything Katsuki believed in, but as long as it got the smile back on Half-n-Half's face, it was worth it. Not only did Shouto smile, he jumped Katsuki and wrapped the taller in a hug. Katsuki stumbled back a bit in surprise.
But Katsuki hugged back and smiled.
