A mess.

That's what Shouto was in. Actually two at the moment. He couldn't quite figure out which was more pressing at the moment so he will tell you about the one that is more life threatening first.

It all started five minutes ago. Katsuki, Shouto, and Aizawa-sensei were all walking toward their train station. They were having a long weekend in which they were given the option to go home. Shouto was planning on playing video games to derail his mind from thinking about Katsuki or Izuku. He was gonna crash at Sero's house for the weekend.

Shouto was humming a catchy song from a show he and Izuku were binging when a loud crash then and unearthly roar echoed through the streets. Shouto looked up to see complete chaos. When did that happen? Cars were being hurled through the air only to crash with a sickening sound into the nearest building. Humans and animals alike ran around screaming until their throats went dry. The most noticeable of these though was the giant bull-like creature roaming through the streets, seeming to be the cause of this outburst of mass panic.

If Shouto's eyes weren't deceiving them, the creature looked suspiciously like the Minotaur ripped straight out of the pages of a Greek mythology book and brought to life. What the fuck?

Some guy wearing a Greek toga was riding a winged horse while cackling maniacally. He threw lightning bolts at every passing person screaming for their life.

Shouto looked around to see if his two train station buddies were still alive only to realize they were already working on rescuing distressed citizens. Well, that's what Aizawa-sensei was doing, Katsuki was screeching profanities at the villain while blasting his trademark explosions at the villain's face.

Shouto thinks he overheard Izuku rambling about a obscenely powerful villain called Mytho who can spin reality into any Greek myth based on lies we tell ourselves a few days ago. Shouto couldn't remember much other than that.

Shouto mentally punched himself. Izuku probably had given a whole analysis on the villain that would have been really helpful right now. Mytho might have a weakness.

Shouto glanced over at Katsuki. That turned out to be a mistake. What he caught sight of was an incredibly hot looking single alpha currently breaking all laws of science that say how fast a human can go to block a blow coming right for Shouto from a hydra that had seemingly just appeared.

Shouto heard the sound of an explosion right as a biting sound sliced through the air. Shouto had been launched backwards and he clenched his eyes shut, ready for the bone cracking impact of the fall.

It surprises him that instead of worrying about how many bones he will break in this fall that seems to be going in slow motion (well, before fictional characters die everything is always super slow for dramatic effect, Shouto's mind unhelpfully supplies), he is thinking about whether Katsuki is alright or not.

It sort of makes sense. Katsuki had saved him selflessly, throwing himself headfirst into danger to save Shouto's dumb ass. He would probably reprimand Shouto later for standing there like a duck on a log. After Katsuki gets over his initial mother-like worry like he does for everyone in the class of course. Then it hits Shouto, Katsuki cares about him. Maybe Katsuki actually did mean it when he had tried to kiss Shouto earlier that week. Shouto had not smelled alcohol on Katsuki's breath.

Shouto shook those thoughts away. It was a pointless hope. Katsuki liked Izuku, not him. Besides, why was he even hoping? He liked Izuku, not Katsuki. Another realization hit him like a brick to the face. Did Shouto like Katsuki?

Shouto smiled and thought, that's a nice last thought.

Shouto registered he had not landed yet and it had been far too long. Why wasn't he dead yet?

He slowly blinked open his eyes that were clenched closed and then saw piercing ruby eyes staring at him with a mix of curiosity, fondness, and protectiveness. He blinked at the boy who was holding him bridal style in his arms. Shouto tilted his head. Katsuki's cute, Shouto thought. Immediately, Katsuki's face turned red and he looked away.

Wait. Katsuki was holding him?! What? When did this happen and why? How did Shouto not notice?! What had happened? He was so confused? Send help. Shouto was sure his face was beet red.

Tentatively, Shouto lifted his arms and wrapped them around the blonde's neck gently. Katsuki's head swung to look the bicolored hair boy in the eyes. Shouto shriveled under the alpha's eyes and grew less confident. Slowly, he began to retract his arms carefully so as to not provoke the other's perceived anger. As if it was an involuntary movement, Katsuki grabbed Shouto's arm before he could move it more than two inches.

"No," Katsuki said gruffly.

Shouto relaxed his arms, relieved. Katsuki then did the unexpected, he leaned in so his head was tucked into the side of the other's neck. Shouto's cheeks warmed, he moved one of his arms so he could pet Katsuki's hair.

It wasn't spikey and hard like Shouto's had expected. Rather it was… soft. Well taken care of. He wondered how it stayed like that. Shouto was no hair expert, but he was pretty sure hair doesn't just… defy gravity like that. Maybe he had a minor floating quirk like Shinsou and Aizawa-sensei. Shouto unintentionally giggled for no reason.

Suddenly, Katsuki's head went on alert, surprising Shouto.

"What the fuck were you doing, dumbass?!" Katsuki screeched. "You almost got yourself killed!"

"Um-" Shouto started.

"Not to mention you would have been responsible for the deaths of hundreds of civilians too! Now I'm here having to save your sorry ass!" Katsuki growled. Katsuki paused and mumbled, "You're lucky your ass just happens to be cute enough to save." But that couldn't have been what the blonde had said, maybe Shouto should get his ears checked.

"What-" Shouto tried.

"No, no, no, I'm not done with you Icyhot, I haven't even begun to talk about your mental health and strategies. Then we can go back to the fight and save the stupid extras that got themselves dragged into this mess." Katsuki said, staring at Shouto intensely.

"It's not their-" Shouto began.

"First! Mental health: are you fucking suicidal?!" Katsuki screeched so loud it almost broke the bicolored hair boy's eardrums. Shouto was sure Aizawa-sensei had heard it from the ground too. He would most likely be questioned later.

"What? No-" Shouto tried to deny before getting cut off once again.

"Then what in holy hell were you doing just standing in perfect target range of every hit and not blocking a single one? Or are you just stupid?" Katsuki said, still mother henning him.

"I was just distracted." Shouto managed to get out before he was interrupted.

"So distracted you didn't even attempt to catch yourself on your ice after you flew backward on impact?" Katsuki inquired, brow raised mockingly.

Shouto's face reddened in embarrassment, he mumbled, "I was distracted."

"Ha! You admit it, I'm smarter! You and your pea sized brain didn't even think of that!" Katsuki bragged.

"I never said-" Shouto thought of something his psychology textbook had taught him and quoted it, "High emotion situations mess with this part of the brain tending to make you forget stuff, lose rationality, and logic. The latter two, temporarily."

Katsuki rolled his eyes, "Smartass."

Shouto smirked, "You just said I was a dumbass."

"Princess."

"You running low on insults?" Shouto snarked.

"No."

"Why princess then?"

"'Cause 'm carrying you bridal style."

"Does that make you my prince?"

Katsuki snorted, "More like your knight in shining armor."

"Oh, save me knight Katsuki. We can run away and get married in the hills." Shouto said sarcastically.

Shouto was not expecting Katsuki's face to light up bright red.

Shouto's new mission was to make the apha turn into a blushing and stuttering mess. Also, to make Katsuki his.

Yeah, Shouto had come to terms with it.

Shouto Todoroki liked Katsuki Bakugou.

After: they continued to flirt/insult each other until the fight was over and Mytho escaped. They got a super long lecture from Shota when they got on the train.
