Katsuki's spoon made a small ringing noise when it hit his bowl.
Shouto looked up from where he had been staring at his lap.
The pair was currently in a very fancy restaurant on their pity date (or so Shouto had mentally dubbed it). He could not fathom a universe where Katsuki actually liked him. After Katsuki asked him out he explained how since they were both the losers they had to go on a date together.
Katsuki took a deep breath, "You know… technically, you won our competition."
Shouto felt a stab of pain go through him at the mention of his heartbreak. He sighed, "Katsuki… we've been over this."
"No, like- you won. The rules were: whoever asks Deku out first wins. You asked him out, he rejected you. You still win because you completed the standards first." Katsuki explained.
Shouto laughed lightly at that. He ate his salad with a little more enthusiasm. Katsuki was fun to talk to when he wasn't screeching unholy messages at you.
Shouto smiled, "So-" he picked up a piece of lettuce with his chopsticks and lifted it into his mouth. Chewed delicately, then swallowed, unaware of the ruby red eyes following his every movement. "-how did you even know I asked Izuku out?"
Katsuki's face lit aflame. "I- um-"
Shouto laughed, "It's okay if you don't want to tell me."
Still blushing, Katsuki said, "No- I was um… stalking you?"
Shouto choked on his food, "You- what?"
Katsuki backtracked, "No- um- that sounded bad. I was stalking you but in a good way! I promise!"
Shouto outright laughed that time, "Kats, there's no way to make stalking sound like a good thing, you yandere."
"Y-yandere?! No- I-" Katsuki stuttered frantically.
Shouto continued giggling at the blonde. "You're so cute when you are flustered."
Both their faces turned red in embarrassment at what Shouto just said.
"Oh shit, I didn't mean to say that." Shouto said, eyes wide.
"No, it's fine. To be fair, I think it's cute when you laugh like that. Now we're equal." Katsuki said.
They settled into another awkward silence. They both mutually picked at their food, tentatively eating at it from time to time.
Shouto whispered, "Katsuki, I know you were just trying to help me. It's fine that you were stalking me. It actually makes me happy that someone cares about me that much."
Eyes wide, as if in a trance, Katsuki uttered, "I have a crush on you."
Shouto just stared at him, "No you don't."
Katsuki got up from the booth the two were sitting in. Everyone in the restaurant stared at him. The delinquent in a fancy suit in some soap opera looking drama.
"Yes, I fucking do, Shouto. I did that night at the dance and I do now. You might not return my feelings but I just wanted to get it out there." Katsuki paused, then his voice went soft, "And… I know you're probably disgusted by the thought of me now, but I care about you… alot. I hope one day… you will be happy."
Katsuki turned then started walking away, not wanting to face the alpha. Afraid of what he'd find on the other's face.
Shouto's eyes were wide and his mouth open and closed and finally he said, "You weren't drunk?"
Katsuki stopped walking, still not looking at the fire and ice user. "What are you talking about? I've never drank alcohol before."
Shouto's voice was distant, "That night, at the dance. I thought you were drunk. I thought you would never want to kiss me. I thought all that flirting was a friendly joke."
Katsuki finally turned around to see Shouto looking like he could see right through Katsuki. He was staring right at the blonde, yet it was like he couldn't see Katsuki.
At last, Shouto snapped back to his senses. He started walking toward Katsuki in a seductive manner. When he reached the blonde he slung his arms around the alpha's neck. They were mere inches apart, their breath mingled.
Slowly, Shouto leaned in. They met in the middle. Their lips pressed together softly. A warm feeling spread throughout Shouto's body and he deepened the kiss. Katsuki's hands gently wove through his hair, successfully messing it up. They broke apart to catch their breath.
Shouto stared into his alpha's eyes. They were filled with fondness and understanding. They then proceeded to dive back into the kiss. Shouto's hands slid down to Katsuki's waist. Shouto's heart rate sped up and the only thing filling his mind was Katsuki Katsuki Katsuki.
Katsuki poked his tongue against Shouto's lips, Shouto permitted entrance. Katsuki's tongue explored his mouth. They're bodies were pressed together. Shouto wanted more.
Right as he thought that, a very nervous looking restaurant worker tapped Shouto on the shoulder. They both pulled apart. Katsuki glared.
"Excuse me? Who do you think you are? You interrupted my boyfriend and I's private time," Katsuki sassed.
"Um, sir- this is a public property. Anyone can come in here. You are disturbing some of our valued guests." The omega server said, avoiding eye contact.
"B-boyfriend?" Shouto stuttered.
"Yes, you're mine now, sweetie." Katsuki said with confidence. He turned to look at the poor chap who had come to tell them to stop making-out. "And you. Piss off."
The omega took a deep breath, "I-I'm going to have to call the cops, s-sir. That is- if you don't sit down and stop making a scene or politely leave."
Shouto put a hand on Katsuki's shoulder and gave him a look. "I'm sorry, my boyfriend here has anger issues, of course we will sit down."
The omega server gave a big sigh of relief, "Oh, thank Kami. I thought I was going to die." The boy skipped off.
Shouto smiled at Katsuki.
"Katsuki- I swear to God- I will pay for this meal!" Shouto yelled.
They had finished their meal and were now arguing over who would pay. Wanna guess who the lucky duck who was at the counter was? It was the omega server from before!
"I'm older and therefore I should pay!" Katsuki yelled right back, already grabbing his wallet from his back pocket.
The omega server just gave the couple a tight smile, obviously about to pass out from pure fear of the two alphas.
"Well, I was always told to aid the elderly!" Shouto argued.
"Elderly- how dare-"
Shouto slapped the appropriate amount of money into the counter.
"Nope-!" Katsuki snatched the money from the counter, replacing it with his own. "I lost the competition, so I pay! Those were the rules!"
"Well, I won, so I make the rules!"
"That doesn't even-!"
"Um, why don't you both pay?" The omega server asked, interrupting their friendly argument.
The couple looked at each other then said at the exact same time, "No."
I'm gonna cry.
