Baby Mao Mao: Daddy, what's a Toon Force?

"Allow me tell you the tale, my boy. The Toon Force were legendary heroes from all kinds of distant civilizations. They've fought countless battles, like I had, of course. Fought evil big and small. Saved those who couldn't save themselves, and brought peace to the vast reaches of space and time. They were proud warriors who valued life, and cherished the past while looking forward to a better future."

A Crossover by Frozarburst…

"Once, there was a great evil who plunged the cosmos into chaos and nearly brought existence to extinction. But, a powerful warrior wielding a sword forged from the very power of righteousness, genius, and soul stepped up to the challenge and helped the Toon Force defeat him."

Based on Toon Wars…

"With reality restored, they had allowed worlds of all kinds to roam freely throughout the universe. Thus, worlds such as our's were born."

Baby Mao Mao: Can we ever meet them one day, dad?

"...Perhaps."

Elsewhere…

In a ruined, windy, dusty area of an unknown location, the mad scientist wearing a cardboard box and goggles for a mask, Dr. Flug, the punk-like and crazed Dementia, and the adorable blue bear, 5.0.5, wander the stormy desert in search of something on Flug's computer. They hover safely inside a black, hat-shaped carrier floating just a few feet above the ashy surface.

Dementia slouching over her chair: Ugh…! Why we gotta come here again, Doc? This place is booooooring. Is it cause of the big boom?

Flug: Correct, Dementia! Scanners discovered a strange new specimen. I want to see it for myself! If we're lucky it could aid us in the long run!

505: Baw?

Flug: No. I'm not being cocky. I'm just trying to get our spirits up! It's been 5 years and nothing like this has happened, apart from the supernatural phenomenon occurring at the moment in reality.

Dementia: Ain't that enough?

Computer: SIGNAL GETTING STRONGER

Flug: This is it! Seems like there's definitely something out here this time.

Dementia: Yeah? Well what's up, Doc?

Flug: It's uh… It's a life signal. But it isn't even reading what cartoon its from. The feed is corrupted.

505 shivering: Baaaw...

Flug: It's ok. I'll go first. It doesn't seem like anything terrible.

Computer: HOSTILITY DETECTED

Flug: Scratch that. Dementia will go first.

Dementia shaking her head and finger gleefully: Ah-ah-aaaaah.

Flug lowering his head and arms: Daooooh... Ok. We'll go together. 5.0.5, can you watch the ship for us?

505 saluting: Baw!

The hat pod opens a lower elevator hatch that brings down Flug and Dementia. They walk along the dark, sandy path as the wind continues to flow heavily and the clouds glitch from a distortion in the known multiverse. Colorful lights flash across the skies with loud electronic roars of thunder. There is no sun nor moon, leaving the two to have to use the headlights of the ship for their sight. As they trek forward, they notice that the ground appears to be ashy as though a small explosion had occurred.

Flug with his datapad: This is the place, alright. (Points to small crater) Readings point down to this small hole.

Dementia grinning: Ok. (Pushes Flug down with one hand)

Flug falling into the hole: WAGH! (Lands on hands and looks up)

Flug recovers from his tiny descent and sees the figure of a humanoid with wild hair and a lean body. However, her legs are nearly mangled, right arm is missing, and the rest of her is horrifically deformed seemingly from a computer glitch. With the darkness and dust still shrouding her, only her dark grey-brown hair and two-toned orange top appear to be fully colored.

Flug: (Gasps) Oh my…!

Dementia: Break a leg?

Flug: No. But what I did find is astonishing!

505 on the speaker: Guh…?

Flug: It's definitely a lifeform. But she's hurt real bad. I'll need a gurney and medical kit. Stat!

Dementia running back: Roger Dodger!

Flug feeling the woman's pulse with his palm: Good thing she's still breathing. (Gets excited) When Black Hat returns, he will definitely appreciate me for sure!

Unknown Woman: Aaaugh…

Flug quickly hiding behind a rock: EEP! (Peeks head) Huh…?

Unknown Woman struggling to speak: Agh...A...A...dor..a…

The woman cocks her head over to Flug at a distance and reveals only half her face. Her right side being pitch black with a bulging yellow eye and small pupil. The edge of the dark right half having a white glowing crack through her skin from her forehead to her chin, and the right side of her mouth red and jagged like a jack-o-lantern. Either seemingly smiling from the effect, or physically and mentally broken. Regardless of the circumstance, , as the cosmic and chaotic battle of cartoons closes in the distance, to Flug at least, this is the beginning of their legacy.

TOON WARS LEGACY

Crossover Forces

Chapter I - First Contact

In a snow filled meadow on a clear sunny day past the old railroad and the metal cargo train, Tulip Olsen, about age 20 wearing a very familiar green coat and black beanie, steps through the calm climate alone with a smile in nostalgia. While on her way, to a familiar place, she listens to music on her wireless earbuds, bopping her head to the calm beat. Eventually, she turns them off when she passes a small tree log stuck out of the snow where the double black and white robot shaped like a sphere, One-One, stands up on its tiny four studs.

Glad-One: Ah! Tulip! How nice to see you again!

Sad-One: If you're not freezing or anything.

Tulip: One-One? (Gives hug to the ball) Holy cow! I can't believe you're here! It's been years! W-wait… (Sets One-One back on the tree log) What're you doing here? I thought you were conducting the train.

Glad-One: I am. I am a secondary module designed with base functionality! Should any passengers of the train meet at this spot like you, I will greet them.

Tulip: Oh, sweet! (Puts hands in pockets) Guess you've been innovating while I was gone, huh?

Glad-One: Of course. The former conductor…

Sad-One: You know. The one who wanted to kill you?

Glad-One: She wanted me to thank you for the change of heart whenever you returned. We've been able to operate the train at optimal efficiency now that we're aware of a grander universe out there.

Tulip: I'm sorry. What was that last part?

One-One: Have you ever heard of the Toon Wars?

Tulip: No. But it sounds like a video game I've played when I was little. And that's saying a lot, cause I work on a lot of them. I'm a game tester.

Sad-One staring down: I figured as much.

Glad-One stares back up: It's a legend. A crossover.

Tulip: Oh no… Is this gonna be like fanfiction? My friends and I read a lot of those.

Glad-One: Well yes.

Sad-One: And no.

Glad-One: Would you like me to show you?

Tulip starting to walk along the path: Totally! I've been meaning to get back on a cart.

Glad-One hoppoing off the log: Then we shall board at once!

At the pole, the massive building the train usually runs through from inside, Tulip opens the hatch door again, feeling the metal after a few years away. The train has stopped this time, sitting with the cart labeled "CN City" on it. Although in the cart itself, the portal contained appears to have no label at all, nor does it seem to lead to said city.

Glad-One: Next stop…

Sad-One: CN City.

Tulip: Why so sad all of a sudden?

Glad-One: (Hops) Ah! I stand corrected. That was the abandoned city that stood for Cartoon Network shows. The metropolis we're actually going to is the fantastic Toon City!

With One-One tucked in Tulip's arms, they pass through the portal, entering an open space in the middle of a bustling metropolis filled with an assortment of creatures and eye-catching structures. Much of the tall buildings or white with varying colors, the floor tiles are chrome, checkered black and white, while the other side is mostly orange. The portal Tulip came from has a label with "Infinity Train" displayed. And the center of the station she's in has a round display with a monitor reading "Cartoon Network."

Tulip: Woah…! This is it?!

Glad-One: Of course! Is it not wonderful?

Tulip stepping from her platform: No, I love it!

On the circular sign, a holographic display of the tall scientist Dexter, projects itself in front of Tulip.

Holo-Dexter: Greetings, newcomer. I am the interactive recording of Dexter. Inventor of the Neurotomic Protocore powering the metropolis in front of you, and guide for Cartoon Network shows.

Tulip: What's Cartoon Network?

Holo-Dexter: Yes. I recognize what you are pondering. You're asking 'I'm a cartoon?' You're wondering what this means for you and the people from your world. Fortunately, this tour has been designed to elaborate on the subject.

Tulip: That's...not exactly what I was asking. But alright.

A red arrow marked on the floor appears automatically and stretches around the circle to the end of the station terminal.

Holo-Dexter: Follow the marker on the ground.

Tulip and One-One do as the holographic Dexter requests and walk along the path down the steps of the terminal. At the end of it is a blue tram with yellow stripes making a steady stop and opening its doors. Juniper Lee, Rocko, Adelaide Chang, Brainy Barker, and Fee step outside while Tulip boards it. She marvels at the rest of the people inside, sitting down with a screen on the back of the passenger seat facing her and One-One. Next to them, another passenger with seemingly metallic legs, pink hair, and a blue shirt is looking out the window, then toward the two of them.

Holo-Jane: You're new to this place, huh?

Tulip: I guess? Not really sure how to feel about being among cartoons apparently.

Holo-Jane smiling back: Don't worry. (Winks) You'll get used to it. (Glitches out of reality)

Tulip: O_O

Tram Intercom: Now Departing.

The tram begins its journey. It calmly moves forwards, right of the world station to the bridge tracks next to the skyscrapers on the left next to Tulip's window and the clean blue ocean to the right. Much of the light posts aligned on the edges of the bridge are powered seemingly by small solar panels. In the streets, there aren't many cars that seem to give off exhaust either. Most of them are a greenish-yellow or red. Small for two, round in shape, levitating slightly above the road. Behind them, there's even groups of distinct people riding what looks to be white hover-chairs instead of an actual vehicle.

Holo-Dexter on the screen: Marvelous, isn't it? Notice the lack of exhaust or primitive technology. While we have areas themed to the likings of our fellow cartoons, it was clear to us that we needed to make a cleaner leap in ecological and technological development. Coming up, you will find these themed parts of town, where characters, canceled or not, may live in peace.

Glad-One wiggling his small studs: Oooh! I love peace.

Tulip: I'm not exactly getting the whole 'cartoon' thing yet, bud.

Glad-One: Well, perhaps this shall enlighten you.

To the right, now facing a long variety of neighborhoods, there are specially themed houses and roads created for specific cartoons. Including the Flintstones' prehistoric style, the mysterious and spooky Scooby-Doo buildings, or classic, more simplistic New-Yorker apartments like Sunset Arms. Billboards have advertisements for the Krusty Krab and McSpankies, with phone numbers and hiring offers to those looking to work. A faint rumble is felt to the left of Tulip by the window as the tram continues its path. One-One peeks outside with her and witnesses a massive, orange blimp taking off from a hangar beneath the highway. On it is a large display monitor with another ad that reads "Toon Force looking for recruits for potential continuation. Magiswordian Subsidiary still in the works". Eventually, past the city square, the tram stops again at a small station where the holographic red marker appears outside directed Tulip and One-One out to the streets with a sign reading "2000's District". Buildings are themed more conventional from the era with traditional brick walls, early 2000's pavement and shops like the laundry mat.

Holo-Dexter on screen: By fact, cartoons are the byproduct of entertainment. Before the war, we used to air for a limited time on television to bring joy to children and families around the world. This section of the city represents what once was CN City. A place where we could crossover and thrive as a society.

The hologram warps itself next to a small statue with a long, futuristic cannon made of stone.

Holo-Dexter: But one day, our freedom had been compromised, represented best by a villain created by our own network who serviced those they deemed popular and worthy of us at the time.

Beside the hologram is a window of a firehouse where flames from a huge stove are erupting. The projection then shows a symbol of a skull and a twisted smile of an unidentifiable figure.

Holo-Dexter: Soon, conflict began across space and time amongst ourselves over the right of our freedom to continue living after our show scripts had been discontinued, or how long any series should last. It was thus, the Toon Force was founded to put an end to the war and bring peace to the multiverse. Eventually ending with the death of a cosmic entity dubbing himself, "The Toon God".

The flames stop, and the Dexter hologram points to the square, where a small statue of the Toon Force's "T" shaped symbol rests. Projections of familiar heroes, Danny Phantom, Jimmy Neutron, Timmy Turner, Gumball Watterson, Samurai Jack, and several others appear. But in front of each of them, Bimm of Lyvsheria rests her sword, the Final Magisword, on the ground, ending the projection.

Tulip: I'm starting to get it now...

Holo-Dexter: Out here, you will find an assortment of activities, ranging from…

"The Game Studio." Here, Tulip participates in a class with Dendy, Tommy Pickles, and Lisa Loud about programming. While Tommy works on a new film camera, Tulip gets on a computer with One-One and types only a few keys in a cryptic order, causing the system to unlock a hidden settings menu welcoming her after repairing it.

Tulip: There we go.

Dendy: You fixed it!

"The Coffee Shop." Inside, Tulip has a free cup when the scanner at the cash register detects she is of a new cartoon series. She and One-One are honored by everyone inside with cheers, and Tulip smiles.

Glad-One: Ah! How wonderful!

"The Bending Class." Peridot, or in this case, an alternate timeline version of her, stands in a gym instructing a class on how to bend metal.

Peridot: Ms. Barker couldn't be here since she had to tend to business with the Superdog. But I'm the main instructor anyway. Let's start by seeing what you lifeforms have. (Gravitates steel girder to the front of her and drops it) Lift this girder with your mind.

Double D, John Mercer, Julie, Princess Bubblegum, and Tulip all stare at the hunk of metal, speechless. One-One stretches his front stubs out trying to concentrate, but nothing happens.

Tulip: Um… Ok?

"The Mega-Mall." Tulip and One-One enter the center of a massive, chrome shopping mall. Inside, they start shopping in areas themed like many other shows like Gumball's or Jenny Wakeman's, finding a new white sweater instead of her casual T-shirt, a keychain shaped like a controller, and a bracelet with a custom message reading "Infinity Train." As they walk up the second floor toward a series of mirrors on the side, they see that they have a distorted reflection, taking the time to make funny faces at them until Tulip's reflection itself cringes and leaves. After a few more hours into the evening from gardening, blimp riding, and watching two movies at a theatre (Ego Trip and the Spongebob Movie), the light grey clouds begin to cover the skies as Tulip exits the activity areas of town into the main square with One-One in her backpack with their purchases. He hops into Tulip's arms from behind and they take the time to admire the red, silver, and yellow statue of the Toon Force symbol, and the capitol building behind it stylized like the Mayor's office from Townsville.

Tulip smiling: This was fun, One-One. It almost makes me not wanna leave here at all.

Glad-One: I wouldn't either.

Tulip: There's just so much to do out here. I'm shocked no one's invited me sooner.

Glad-One: In one timeline of events, we do not meet like this. But I wanted to make an exception for you, friend.

Tulip: Then...wait. If I'm one of the new guys, where's everyone else?

Sad-One: They don't know either.

Glad-One: The Toon Force made it clear never to interfere with the natural course of any series until its end.

Sad-One: So you're the only one so far.

Tulip listens to her small friend. But as he wraps up his sentence, she notices the large monitors scattered through the cityscape on the tall buildings are now broadcasting loud grey static.

Tulip: Hold on a sec. Something's wrong with the TV's.

Disembodied, rather high pitched Voice: Citizens of Toon City! Please lend me your ears!

With the diverse citizens now facing the screens, the TV static fades revealing the half snake, half orangutan, Orangusnake. His armor is, as always, appearing pink and striking to the audience. Though his shoulder guards are obscured by the camera and monitors. His background seems to be that of a much different location where he's among a forest of trees at nightfall, whereas here it's during the day.

Orangusnake: For those who don't recognize my voice or dazzling face, I'm Orangusnake. Leader of the amazing sky pirates! Today, we have an announcement for everyone in town. In a few moments, I, and the Horde Syndicate, will be invading Cartoon Network's new shows and subjugate the entire Toonverse!

Everyone in town starts to gasp in confusion and a ton of surprise looking around not sure of what to say.

Tulip: I'm sorry… What?!

Sad-One facing down: Here we go again...

Orangusnake: Don't fret. This city and more will be spared for now. But don't try sending your beloved Toon Force to handle it. Any attack will be met with overwhelming retaliation! And you wouldn't want that to happen, now would you? Oh. And by the way…(Puts on glasses and reads a small paper) Hedgehog, no… Valentino...no. Oh here we are! (Tosses glasses and paper down) Tulip, my new friend would like to see you and your fellow droid pal!

As soon as Orangusnake finishes and ends his transmission, a yellow ray of light beams down on Tulip and One-One, lifting the ball droid first before Tulip follows, flailing around in horror. At a distance, both the rebooted Ben Tennyson as Cannonbolt and the Symbiotic Titan emerge, zooming in to the end of the light above the clouds. The Titan tosses Cannonbolt up to the end of the light, rolling into a ball to smash into it. But before he can collide with the mysterious structure past the clouds, he is bounced back by a bulky purple, yellow, and pink android wearing a crown and a jetpack. Two more, rather rugged ones, one of which is missing an arm, comes from above as well, shooting their back heavy lasers at the merged giant! Lance and Ilana descend without their armor unconscious, and Octus falls with them to catch them. Ben then turns into Heatblast, shooting at the attack robots while plummeting to the surface. Yet each of the machines merely bounce off the shots and keep firing down on the city square, exploding huge chunks of the ground around the cartoons there. Robot Jones barely avoids a practical napalm next to Erin and Lazlo, while Catdog, Zim, and Cow and Chicken are blown off the square by another cannon blast! With Tulip and One-One beamed aboard this mysterious ship above the clouds, the ray turns off and the vessel starts to quietly float away. Before they leave, 6 of these evil machines strafe around the skyscrapers of the city, firing rockets from their arms at the buildings! Eventually, 3 of them meet at the capitol building and blow a hole in the main office through the windows. Inside, Future Timmy Turner tosses his electric spear through the smoke and manages to lunge right through one of the invader's visors, shutting it off. But one of the other 2 takes its wrist gun and shoots at his waist! The Future Timmy is brought down, wounded with a smokey impact with his two friends, AJ and Chester, coming to tend to him.

Echo Commando: Good luck trying to call your Toon Force buddies now, Mr. Turner!

Future Timmy: Stop, you droids! This is senseless!

Echo Commandos flying away: HAHAHAHAHA!

Each of the androids rocket up to the main ship through a barely visible hatch in the middle before they blast away at lightning fast speeds with their captives inside. In the city, everyone panics. Some tending to Ben and Lance for their wounds.

Ben: Urgh…

Ilana: Are you ok Lance?

Lance on the floor with his hand on his stomach: Those guys were too strong…

Ben: Yeah… Where'd they come from?

Back in the office building, Future Timmy is sitting in his chair holding his burnt wound while AJ gives him an ice pack and medical kit.

Tutie: Hun, what happened?!

Future Timmy: Attack bots. Kids are safe, right?

Tutie: Yes.

Future Timmy: Good. Those robots came from the Toon Wars for sure. But why they'd be back, I don't know. How this snake person got em, I don't know. But one thing's for sure. Their timing for attacking us was lousy! With folks like Jimmy or Cattus on their mini adventure, we don't have a proper defense from the main team. And if we call anyone in reserve, they said they'll attack us immediately. Either way, it feels like they already have a grip on us...

British Voice Outside the Window: Not all of us, Timmothy!

Outside the broken glass, a tall man with a white jacket and blue suit, white shoes with plasma flowing like rockets, and a white top hat and blue stripe, descends to the room with his kind Doctor Flug tucked next to him. Though the man's left eye appears to be obscured by a techno-monocle projecting a small hologram like a targeting beacon, his calm smile and wide pupil makes him seem welcoming to the people below him.

Blue Hat: I'm sorry you had to see that, ladies and gentlemen. We will take it from here.

End of Chapter 1
